Little Saigon is one of those whole in wall best kept secrets. It’s a little further off the beaten path tucked away in a shopping strip that the only reason you might visit is for the Southside Total Wine. It’s well worth the trip for lunch or dinner. The food is very similar in quality and options to Mekong. My favorites are the Crispy Spring Rolls, Combination platters, Phở, and any of the Vermecelli bowls. The ONLY complaint is that I feel they go a little weak on the Basil, but that’s personal preference. Prices are inexpensive and the portions are large so you really get your money’s worth. The atmosphere is typical cheesy Vietnamese restaurant design. The staff is very friendly and they have the cutest kid that runs around peaking at your from behind corners in a playful way.
