KNJ Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

I used a group-​on deal for one hallway and two rooms. My carpets had stains and damage I thought were beyond repair! The gentleman at KNJ was polite and professional and when I came back from picking up my daughter he was already done and I couldnt believe my eyes! My carpets looked basically like they did when I first moved in. I am going to get them to come do my living and dining room next! Great company!

I bought a Groupon for KNJ Carpet services.
Wed 4/​9-​I had an appointment w/​Mr. Warren Johnson to clean & scotch guard the carpet in a rental unit. I advised Mr. Johnson I work 2^nd shift so the appointment would have to be between the hrs of 10a-​1p. Mr. Johnson arrived on time, but unprepared, he informed me he had forgotten his «wand», a carpet cleaning tool & also needed a garden hose, which later I found out, because he asked one of the community tenants if he could use theirs.
This wasn’t a problem since I had to leave for work, so I left Mr. Johnson alone at the rental unit. After my shift ended at 10pm I stopped by the unit to check the work. The door to the unit was unlocked, inside Mr. Johnson had spread «garden mulch» from outside all over the carpet. At home on my answering machine Mr. Johnson had left 6 messages stating he was done & waiting for me to return. I made several attempts to reach Mr. Johnson which went to voicemail.
Thu 4÷10− I reported this vandalism to the Richmond P.D. Officer Bonds investigated & left a voicemail for Mr. Johnson to call him back. Which he did.
Per Mr. Johnson he wasn’t aware I had gone to work & since he couldn’t reach me he assumed I had stiffed him & after waiting over 5 hrs. He thought it only fair to throw dirt back on the carpet.
This is the statement he gave to the R.P.D officer who investigated the incident. This was a lie since the carpet had already been cleaned, I simply needed a once over & the carpet scotch guarded. Mr. Johnson was given a final opportunity to clean the carpet, which he refused. I am now taking legal action against him.
This incident was reported to Groupon & my money refunded. Needless to say I would not give this business a positive recommendation.

I posted a previous review about KNJ so I’m updating it. Warren called and said he had a family emergency, and he came and cleaned the carpets. I wasn’t there to see the results, but my tenant thought it looked good. He was thorough and professional, so I will upgrade my review.

I can’t speak highly enough of KNJ. I was preparing to move, and was obligated by the lease to get my carpets cleaned by a truck mounted system.
I scheduled an appointment with KNJ for Friday afternoon at 4, but had to call to reschedule because we weren’t as far along in the move-​out process as I’d hoped. The owner was more than happy to push the appointment back to 6pm, which was much appreciated.
When that rolled around, we still weren’t ready, so he offered to come by on Saturday morning, which was incredibly appreciated!
Beyond the excellent customer service aspect, KNJ did a great job of cleaning. He set the operation up quickly, used modern equipment that wasn’t too loud, and the whole thing was done within an hour! The carpets look great, he removed pet hair, some dirt, and whatever other various things were in there. He even scotch guarded it, which went over very well with the landlady.
I can’t recommend KNJ enough, whether you’re moving in, out, or just trying to keep your place looking good. The owner is incredibly nice and friendly, and works hard to do a good job.
Plus, it’s a nice local small business that feels good to support.
