I had some time to kill in carytown, and being early-ish on a sunday, I was finding many things closed for the day, or at least till lunch/dinner. I popped by jj’s just to see if they might be open, and on the other side of a locked door was a smiling face that quickly let me in. Despite being amidst opening duites, Jasmine was pleasant and very quick to serve. The sandwich, aka the vito, arrived almost immediately with all the fixins and add ons in order, and was quite delicious to boot. I’m glad I happened to pass by, and would urge anyone with a hankering hunger to find this place, on purpose, for a good meal that’s quick from order to mouth, and very friendly to the wallet!

I ordered online delivery when we had all that rain last week. When I say this food showed up creepy fast, I mean it in the best possible way! I feel like I had just put my CC info in when I heard a knock at the door. Despite the rain, the bike driver was super nice and super fast. My order was right on point down to the extra condiments. Yum!

Jasmine is horribly rude, slow and makes the worst sandwich I have ever had. Horrible experience even if it is just a little sandwich shop. Avoid this joint

The food is consistently good, the staff is always friendly and very fast, and the restaurant is always clean. If you are a fan of Jimmy John’s this place is exactly what you expect. I mainly wrote this review because this place deserves better the 3-star rating they currently have.

Well, it was fast! Sadly, it tasted like it.

PROTIP #1(that will get you awkwardly yelled at) — park in the garage directly behind the store, go in through the back door. Next, have the older women that works here awkwardly confront you for going through that door. She will tell you that it is for employees only, you will let her know that there is no signage that says such a thing, she will reiterate her stance, you yours, then you will order your sandwich and exit out that same door, because guess what — it’s still unlocked and remains so during business hours. You have successfully eaten and avoided parking on Cary St — congratulations! Side bar — Jimmy Johns is the only fast food restaurant where I continually witness awkward behavior from employees that I assume are in some sort of leadership position. From berating other employees while customers are present or just being directly rude to customers like the above story that happened today, these places always have contain weird, aggressive vibes. My hunch is it’s the result of all the awful graphic design and vaguely conservative messages contained within those T.G.I.Friday’s-esqe placards. PROTIP #2 — never order delivery — the significant markup on every menu item vs dining in/carryout is straight up bizarre.

Another good sandwich, but still a stale cookie. I confirmed with an employee that they’re supposed to dispose of cookies after 3 days. Unfortunately, I did not realize this cookie, like the last two, was inedible until I walked home. The service makes up for the food! :-)
