* In 1903, Hilldrup Transfer opens in Fredericksburg, VA

* In 1940, Charles B. McDaniel purchases the company

* In 1976, Charles G. McDaniel becomes the third President and CEO

* In 1989, Hilldrup purchases the Richmond, VA facility which becomes the second branch outside of the Fredericksburg area

* In 2005, Charles W. McDaniel becomes the fourth president

Charles has been President and CEO of Hilldrup since 2005, taking over from his father, Charlie. Charles is the third generation to lead the company.
