Groovin’ Gourmets

They catered my wedding and were amazing. The price was reasonable and the food was delicious. They were there and set up and kept the food filled.

The food was delicious! Our guest loved it. However, I felt like it was a struggle to get there. We interacted with 3 different organizers leading up to the event. Each time, details were lost. On the day of the event, things were still not set the way we discussed and the one staff member was rude to guests. I would only recommend to others who have time to constantly follow up and stay on top of the coordinating.

Blown away by the AMAZING service and delicious food!
We used Groovin’ Gourmet for Prevent Child Abuse Virginia’s 5^th Annual Be Mine Ball at the Science Museum of Virginia this past weekend. While I have been able to enjoy Groovin’ at several work related events that were catered, I had never seen them cater an event like this.
We worked with Emily from the start to finish and her attitude and willingness to help us was transparent from the beginning. She was a joy to work with and I look forward to working with her again. She knew her stuff and made sure that every last detail to the candles on the table (that I forgot) weren’t missing. I highly recommend asking to work with her!
I can not stress enough how smoothly Groovin’ Gourmet ensured our event would be. I was worried about the amount of time it was going to take us to set-​up by Emily had proper staffing to make sure that at 5PM sharp, all of the tables we requested to have set up first were set-​up, arranged, and drapped in linens before we even had a chance to blink our eyes!
A few of the food highlights… passed crabcakes, sweet potato biscuits with ham, a risotto station, and much much more. The food really couldn’t have been better. Lastly, the bartenders and servers were attentive, friendly, and did an amazing job to help make our event classy and seamless.
Without hesitation, I recommend Groovin’ Gourmet for your next event!

Brandon and his staff catered our company’s Christmas Party this year. The event was held at our house. We asked Grovin’ Gourmets to prepare, deliver, and help set-​out the food. They were extremely helpful from planing to delivery. The delivery team showed up precisely on time with hot, tasty, and great looking prepared foods. On what had to be the busiest night of the year, they were efficient yet patient enough to ensure we had what we needed for a great event. Everything was delicious and beautiful. So as I was preparing all the docs for a meeting it dawned on me… Nobody ordered lunch! It was less than 24 hours until the meeting. I looked on Unilocal as always especially in a city that I am not all that familiar with. Called groovin gourmets and so glad I did. It was past 4pm so they don’t answer the phone. They do however give you the option to leave message for someone to call back the next am to place emergency order, as they call it and it indeed was. Sure enough at 823 the next morning I got a call. I wish I would have wrote down the persons name bc she was so nice and super helpful. I didn’t have a menu all I told her was that I wanted something hot. She recommended the chicken, rice steamed veggies and bread. I know it sounds kinda cafeteriaish but everyone raved about the moist delicious chicken and the awesome rolls. They also had drink and dessert options. The delivery person was right on time and set it all up for us. All in all they are professional, friendly, delicious and reliable. I will defiantly use groovin gourmets again! Thank you, the meeting was less boring bc of your delicious home cooked food!

Groovin Gourmets catered our daughter’s wedding. From the planning stage to the wedding day they were professional and extremely helpful. Kelley helped with menu planning, table arrangements, color selections for linens and even provided useful suggestions for room set up. Ah — the food ! The food made our special day just DELICIOUS ! Plentiful, piping hot and beautifully displayed. I highly recommend the slider station, also the mashed potato bar ! This was just a wonderful experience.

We used Groovin for our wedding in October 2012. There food was pretty good, the service was awesome and the price was good. Because we have been to so many weddings were the food was okay we really wanted to make sure we found a cater that offered quality food at a great price. Groovin did just that.
On the day of the wedding the staff was super patient and attentive. Made adjustments when needed and consulted with my husband and I before any plans were changed. (It was rainy the day of our wedding so some changes with seating needed to be made.)
Groovin setup, cleaned up and packaged all of the left over food. I can not say it enough the service was great! The team had everything looking beautiful and kept the food hot.

I highly recommend Groovin Gourmets. I used their catering services for a corporate event this past spring and I was very impressed with their professionalism and the quality of the food. Bettina was extremely helpful, patient and friendly and the event went very smoothly. GG had an extensive menu of items to choose from and all of the items we selected were very tasty — especially the mushroom appetizer. The prices were reasonable and overall, I had a wonderful experience with them. I really can’t say enough good things about them. The next time my event requires catering, I will definitely go with Groovin Gourmet.
