We are Christian-​based and make service calls to military bases, providing veterans 10% discounts on our services. We provide the Richmond community with affordable, quality services such as mobile automotive service, locksmith service, and maintenance on safes and vaults.

We work both residential and commercial jobs and are knowledgeable in all aspects of automotive security. We can install auto car locks, cut new keys for your car, and install card readers and keypads for your business. Our mobile automotive service will drive to your location to help when you have locked your keys in your vehicle. If you have left the engine running or are in a hurry to get back to work, you can rely on us to arrive promptly and open the vehicle quickly.

Our locksmith service will provide you with a way into your business or home if you have locked yourself out. We can install or rekey deadbolts and reprogram electronic locks. We provide service for door closers, hinges, cabinets, and anything else with a lock on it. We offer the best access control sales, installation, and service in the area.

We provide service for safes and vaults as well. Without routine maintenance they can sometimes lock up, so it is important to have a locksmith come in and service them every now and then.

Established in 2008.

This business was created on a dream of mine every since I started working as a locksmith 20 years ago. I worked for 18 years with two different companies. My wife and I knew it was time to full fill our dream. We started in 2008 and we are growing strong every day by the grace of GOD through our customers each day.

Great consultation over the phone. Asked me questions I never thought about in adding two deadbolts, one electronic deadbolt and re-​keying entire house.
Tech showed up as scheduled, completed work professionally (and early) and took time to explain multiple features of electronic deadbolt before handing over user manual.
Saved me money by suggesting to simply move deadbolt from one door to another.

Incredibly pleased and impressed with this company. From the very beginning on the phone, they provided me with more information than I knew to ask, and we’re incredibly friendly to speak with. After buying a new home, we wanted all of our locks to be rekeyed as soon as possible. From the time we called at 11am, Matthew was at our home at 4 that same day. He went above and beyond and voluntarily installed our new front door hardware for us, as well as tackle the challenges that came with it (he had to rework the door so it would fit. 7 locks were rekeyed, over an hours worth of labor, and 6 keys (3 deadbolt, 3 normal) were received for $ 200. For a quick service window and reliable service — I strongly recommend this company!

Here is yet another example of how well Unilocal works! I moved into my new home and the first thing I thought of was that I would need to have the locks rekeyed.
After looking on my Unilocal mobile app and seeing all the 5 star reviews, I called them and set up the appointment.
Scott arrived on time and got right on the project. He knows his business and kept me informed the whole time. All locks were updated in a very quick hour and I was over the top happy at the great job he did for me.

Yes the service was fast and friendly. But I was quoted $ 166 on the phone for re-​keying 4 locks (which I wrote on a piece of paper at work) and got charged $ 266 to rekey 5. (the 166 turned out to be for the drive charge and parts NOT for labor) I was confused because I thought maybe I’d miss remembered, but when I got back to work and looked at the quote I had written down it did say $ 166 for 4. So be sure you get clear communication and ask them what they charge for everything.

Scott at East Coast saved me when I was in a bind! I was locked out of my home with two small children and he came out and helped me back into the house within twenty minutes of calling him. You can’t beat that kind of service! He was extremely courteous and professional the entire time he was helping me, and he fixed the lock within five minutes. It definitely beat the other services I called who were not able to help me out!

Upon moving to our new home we needed extra keys made. First I went to Home Depot where I got a «sorry don’t have that key type» then off to Lowe’s where I got «wow, these key can’t be made here, you are going to have to go to an actual locksmith». Enter the Unilocal universe and I find East Coast Lock and Key.
I called and set up an appointment. When I got to the appointment, I was told that the key had not been made for many years and that the key we had was a duplicate of a duplicate. I was further advised of potential issues this might cause.
I also got a quote which was very fair and brought it up to my property management company along with the company’s information. Even though, my property management company chose to use their vendor I was very happy with the service and attention I received from East Coast Lock and Key.
