History

Established in 2001.

Commonwealth Computer Training (CCT) opened in 2001 as the technology training division of Commonwealth Personnel Consultants, Inc., Patricia W. Haynes, a Certified Personnel Consultant, co-​founded Commonwealth Personnel Consultants in 1985. It is one of the first female owned and operated recruiting firms in the Richmond, Virginia area.

In 2000 Pat hired Rachel Stone, a certified Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor, who launched CCT as a response to the many candidates who were entering the market who did not have updated computer skills. Originally CCT offered multi-​level classes in Microsoft Office 2000 and Windows 2000, with Rachel as the director and sole instructor.

Over the years the training center grew, took on more instructors, and offered a larger variety of classes. Today CCT hosts over 160 classes in a variety of software skills and business skills, as well as online skill testing services, custom designed training services, and a new guest series of training.
