History

Established in 1997.

Classic Party Rentals of VA was started by Jim Whittleton with less than 300 pieces of inventory. He worked out of a very small office and used storage PODS to hold the inventory. Today, with over 30,000 pieces of China and over 8,000 chairs, our inventory is housed in over 20,000 square feet of warehouse space. We specialize in Tents, Tables, Chairs, Linens, China, Glassware, Flatware, Staging, Dance Floors and Catering Equipment. We have experienced staff here to assist you from the beginning stages of your party planning all the way to delivery and pick up!

Business Owner

Jim is the original creator and owner of Classic Party Rentals of VA. He is a former electrician and decided he «just wanted to try something different». His mother was a caterer and mentioned that maybe he should start a rental business, so he did. Jim started out in a very small office with only about 300 pieces of inventory and has turned this company into what it is now, along with the help of Nina. Jim’s main focus is the management of all inventory that goes out to each client. He is very meticulous about how each item must be in the best condition possible. He is always ready to jump on a truck or wash any of the 23,000 pieces of china he owns. He also keeps all of us here on our toes and lightens our moods with his humor. He is the greatest dad to his two children, Kurt (23) and Kelsey (20).
