The bad reviews seem very strange. The staff that work there now are the same staff from the beginning. Very great people that know their stuff. All are avid photographers from what I gather. I have only had stellar experiences both in the store and on the phone. They will go above and beyond to help and get you the best prices. The owner is very involved in the business even though he lives in PA where the original store is. It stinks that the negative reviews are probably from the competition. I hope this family run business is here to stay! I love having a camera store in Short Pump!

Used to enjoy going to this store, but my desire has diminished greatly after being given a bait and switch routine by a less than ethical staff member. I find it interesting that one reviewer proposes that the bad reviews are from local competitors. One may also think that a reviewer who praises this store to such a high degree and offer so much inside information to overcome negative reviews may work at this same location.

Unfriendly staff, very quick to rush you off the phone, very short and seemed bothered. Would not recommend to anyone.

If you need anything for your camera, this is the place to go. My mom and I had the perfect birthday gift for my dad in mind, but after a horrible experience at another local camera store we decided to try another shop. My mom had heard of Cardinal Camera and since we were in the area we decided to stop by. We walked right in and noticed the entire vibe of this store was much better than the other. We immediately saw the bag that we had in mind, but still had more questions. The employees were more than happy to help and give us more information. Because of this great experience we are planning to go back and get some old tapes converted to DVD. We could tell that the two men who were working that day truly loved what they did and that made all the difference. I highly recommend Cardinal Camera for all of your photographic needs.
