Established in 1979.
Founded in 1979, Austin-Davidson has built over 800 homes in the Richmond, Virginia area. Known for its quality of service and workmanship, the company has won numerous awards from both the Home Building Association of Richmond and the National Association of Home builders.
A speculative, as well as a custom builder, Austin-Davidson takes pride in it’s flexible floor plans and willingness to work with homeowners.
Realizing that homes are not only bricks and mortar, but also reflections of personality and lifestyle, our Richmond remodeling contractors take the time to insure that the homeowner’s concerns are met before, during, and after completion. Always in the forefront of design, Austin-Davidson constantly updates it’s plans to meet the expectations of the buying public.
We’ve been actively involved in real estate as well and are looking to serve both new and old clients.
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
Founding partner of Austin-Davidson, Inc., together with Hayden L.(Butch) Austin, III, started the business in 1979 with backgrounds in both the real estate and banking. Mr. Davidson began his career at The Bank of Virginia.
With his strong knowledge of the banking business, and with Mr. Austin’s real estate background, both were able to create a partnership that succeeded well over 30 years. Together they built over 800 homes in the Richmond Metropolitan Area and developed eight subdivisions, including Belle Grove, Springtree, Stonequarter, The Meadows in Henrico, Prescott, Willow Gate, Fairfield Woods and the Muirfield Green section of Brandermill. Austin-Davidson was also a charter builder in many of the HH Hunt communities, including Wellesley, Wyndham, Wyndham Forest and Twin Hickory.
Mr. Austin passed away in 2004, leaving Mr. Davidson to continue on until present day. With Mr. Davidson’s guidance, the company continues to build semi-custom as well as custom homes in the Richmon
