I attempted to make a reservation with this cab company to the airport over the phone(their web site didn’t list Hayward as a city). The dispatcher was very nice and repeated my info to make sure we were both on the same page. However, when I asked what their company policy is on drivers talking on the phone while driving(as I get nervous when they do), she said drivers needed to answer the phone to talk to dispatch. I then asked what their policy was on hands free devices. She then told me she couldn’t guarantee what the drivers did in the their cars, and to call a different cab service and directed me to a limo service, then hung up(well, not that rudely). I find this very amusing since they all had«taxi sensitivity class» according to their web site so I wonder why they can’t just tell their drivers to not yap on the phone while they deliver a passenger? I figure, safety first right?
