Grace & Loren’s Nails

I had to take 2 stars away. Every time I go here there’s something wrong with the way my nails come out. Today I went in for a gel manicure. I had to wait and none of the regular lady’s that I usually see were there. I didn’t want just anyone but after waiting a while I finally get to a chair when I lady I never saw came in.
She tells me to sit I tell her gel manicure. She proceeds to pull out the electric buffer. I pulled my hands back saying «what’s that? I’ve never gotten gel removed with that» she asks did I want the acetone. Finally she gets a bowl tells me to put my hands in and starts doing another girls nails. Never has that been done to me. They usually sit there and scrape and soak. Then she’s asking me if I want a manicure too. I couldn’t help it. I didn’t respond nicely. I said «what does that even mean? A gel manicure is $ 20 right? That’s what I want» she says «oh some ppl just want the gel color.
My nails were all chipped and uneven I don’t know why she would ask a dumb question like that.
Then another lady comes in and she tells the lady to do my nails. It was like 10:40 the place opens at 9. I didn’t want any one of them to do my nails but I couldn’t wait anymore.
The lady doing my nails didn’t file them correctly, I had to keep pointing out the uneven nails. She had a hard time polishing cause the color I got is a dark red. But so what, you’re supposed to be experienced with all colors. She kept hurting me when pushing back my cuticles. And I had to point out spots that were missing polish
Another thing is they don’t have enough colors available.
I’m so annoyed by this place, yet I keep going back. Cause it’s close but I’m going to look for another place.

I have been coming here for 2 years because of how close it is to my home. At first service was better, however now the staff here are rude and unprofessional. The place opens at 9 but the workers get there whenever they want. The ambiance is loud and far from peaceful. I’m giving it 1 star only because Adriana is an EXCELLENT pedicurist. I wish there were better nail salons in this area.
