Regis Salon

For all reading this yes I realize I get my haircut in the mall, however I work there and have an extraordinarily busy schedule. So I had to find a place that would accommodate my busy schedule as well as produce quality haircuts.
It took me about three months to find a place and unfortunately I received a terrible haircut/​customer service (that’s in a different review).
So I decided to look closer to home (work) and found Regis and I was timid and didn’t know if I should go because it was in the mall (something about mall haircuts is off putting). But luckily I actually became friends with Shannon who is a stylist at Regis and she said come on in and try it out and see if it’s good and I was amazed.
Every single time she cuts my hair people always complement me on it. I’m actually going back for a coloring and I can’t wait!
I do want to take a moment and review Shannon Monzyle. She is truly amazing and personable. She is astoundingly joyful, and is able to break the awkward barrier there is between customer and stylist. She cuts with purpose. She takes the time to really listen to you and make you feel at home. All while making you laugh which is something to be admired.
I may only be in there for an hour to an hour an half but it the best time I spend on myself in month.

I went for an eyebrow and upper lip wax. The upper lip waxing was incomplete and when I realized that and went back, the receptionist assigned me to another employee (since my original stylist was busy, I understand), but this guy seemed very grumpy. I know it’s no fun having to fix someone else’s work, but how about some teamwork?
Also, the first employee ripped some of the skin underneath my nose off and the area was very painful, this ahead of a very important interview. When I mentioned this to the guy who redid the waxing, he just applied some cooling gel, though I said that the pain feels different, he didn’t even look at it properly. And I paid twice the cost of what I pay outside for this dreadful experience. Plus, the eyebrows came out uneven and thinner than I said I wanted.
When you shell out so much, you expect a decent, if not outstanding, job. Never going here again. If you know what is good for you, you won’t either. Not unless you want your money, and your skin, ripped off.

I don’t know many salons in St. Louis. But John at REGIS is good. I came here every month.

D had her hair re-​streaked here. It was supposed to be a re-​coloring, but the color selection was not good — nothing vibrant — and the way it came out you can barely even see it as compared to the vibrant, lively colors she had when she walked in.
Also the technician caught a large chunk of D’s hair in her watch and pulled it hard. D said she cried out.
We’re from a large Southern city with different expectations of quality than appears to be the case locally here in St. Louis. D also paid 10.00 more than she has ever paid in the past.
Update: demoting to one star. It is the next day and you cannot even see the colors — blue and green — without standing next to her and looking closely. If she doesn’t lift her hair it is not even visible.
70.00 plus tips.

I’ve been to other Regis salons in MO and IL, but Galleria definitely has the best stylists. Always tried a new person for my cuts and colors and have not been disappointed at all and have only experienced good service.

I requested Tabitha due to the overwhelming amount of fantastic reviews I saw for her on Unilocal.They could not have been truer. I showed her a photo and I could not have been happier for how it turned out. I normally hate talking during my haircuts but she made it super fun and made the hour go by super quick. I will be returning to her!

I’ve been looking for a nice and professional hair salon where I can become a regular customer, and finally found it!!! Thanks heaps to Erika who did an awesome job so I strongly recommend, and you will look amazing I kid you not :)!

Love this salon. Their stylists really understand what customers want. I once pointed at a picture of a male model and Tabitha reproduced exactly the same hair style on me. And it’s not insanely overpriced.

My family and I have gone to Paizley for 2+ years and she’s great. When my friends and family come and visit us I recommend Paizley. She listen, cut, and style your hair how you wanted. When it comes to shampoo your hair she’s the best.

So, full disclosure — the stylist I’m writing the review about used to be my roommate back in the day. You’ll think this makes me a little biased, but let me tell you a tale… a tale filled with high-​end, fancy-​pants salons in a major East Coast city (what the hell… it’s DC, just look at my profile), where you pay $ 70 and up for a trim that you could have pulled off blindfolded while hacking at your hair with a pair of shears from Walgreens. Ok, maybe not that bad…
What I’m getting at here is that in seven years of living in DC, and paying insane prices for haircuts, I’ve yet to meet the stylist that can give me a cut as good as Lisa’s. It has taken hundreds of dollars and hours of sitting in various chairs, listening to stylists tell me what I «really want» to learn this lesson. This is why every time I come back to visit family, the first thing I do is set up an appointment at Regis. My hair was in desperate need of a cut, and I waited a full month, knowing that I would be back in St. Louis, and Lisa would be available to do it — because given the choice of blowing $ 70 and ending up with something that I didn’t want, or looking like hell for a month then receiving the most beautiful cut for half the price, I’ll take the latter every time. Lisa will listen to you, offer advice, and then turn your hair into a stunning masterpiece. I now have a bob that is all sorts of amazing. I don’t even need to blow dry it, and it looks like a freakin’ Karlie Kloss mussed bit of runway magic! Or I can make it sleek and professional, with minimal effort. Bam. Perfection. For minimal cost. What’s not to like?
I had no issues making an appointment, and the receptionist seemed perfectly pleasant. If I lived in St. Louis, I’d be in this salon all the time. So, go see Lisa and get an amazing haircut!

This salon doesn’t even deserve one star but I guess I can’t complete a Unilocal review without one.
One word to sum up my visit: RUDE!!!

One occasion I wanted to inquire some information on Regis hair products and unfortunately encountered a snooty, uppity saleswoman. Honey, calm down. Your products are not even in the highest caliber.
Another occasion my mom wanted to set up an appointment for a haircut only to be told so RUDELY and CURTLY that the next open appointment was later in the evening.
Folks, when one is in the service industry, one might want to display GOOD-​SUPERB service!
Not to pull out the race card, but I will. I consider myself pretty observational person and I did NOT see any other customers (all Caucasians) being treated in the manner I encountered.
I guess if you’re from an Aryan descent like majority of the employees, you will receive better service. Good luck!

Shoot. I forget if it was Bill or Bob who helped me out with a much needed haircut but he did a great job.
I have been to several Regis Salons before and this has been the most busy and hoppin’. Fun atmosphere!
I walked in at 3pm on a Tuesday and like I said, the place was packed, but they were able to get me right in. Literally no wait.
An hour later my hair looked fabulous.
Thrilled.

Ask for Kristina… she is awesome! She has a great sense of what you want and does an excellent job of explaining how to get that same look at home on your own. I highly recommend her and I’m a pretty picky customer.

Really like this place. Kansas is the best!!!
