The owner/​father is one of the rudest people I have ever met. I called 3 days ago and made arrangements to board my dog during Christmas. The father called me at 9:00 pm to tell me that he had been out of town and I could not bring my dog at Christmas because they had no spots, I told him the guy I talked to said they had 10 spots open, he said I don’t really care what he told you, the spots I have are for my regulars I’m not taking any new customers. I told him I had already bought plane tickets and what was I suppose to do and he really got mad and hung up. I called him back and told him I would not be bringing my dog because I felt he would be mean to him because he was being really crappy to me, he said did you call to cancel or chew me out and then hung up on me. If you are thinking about taking your dog there think twice if he is that rude and mean to clients think how he will treat your animals.

This isn’t the cheapest place, but they provide a safe place for the dogs to stay and play. They have a dog whisperer level of understanding of the dogs and not only do they wear the dogs out but they really improve the behavior as well. On top of that they really get to know and care for your dog. One of my favorite things is that they don’t try to get as many dogs smashed into a tiny place as possible but stay consistent with just a few dogs at a time. I’ll definitely be bringing my dog back soon!

Queensgate Kennel is what heaven must be like, not only heaven for our dog but for owners as well. Our puppy is so excited to go to day care everyday, he whines when the stoplight turns red on our way to Queensgate Kennel, and coming home to a tired puppy has been a godsend.
Our pup has been boarding and going to day care here for the past 9 months and we could not be more pleased with our experience. With a rambunctious little puppy, we found it hard for him to get his energy out while we were at work all day. Day care provides a constructive way for him to get his daily exercise.
The owners Brandon and Dave have been so helpful in teaching us and keeping us informed on our puppy’s behaviors. They are always so nice and friendly and willing to help us with training. By sending our dog to Queensgate Kennel, it has made home life so much easier. Our dog is leaning how to social with a variety of dogs, listen to new commands, and appropriate behaviors as he continues to grow.
I have recommended Queensgate Kennel to coworkers, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to send their puppy to daycare/​boarding.

Queensgate Kennel has been our saving grace the past 8 months or so, and we will miss them dearly after we relocate out of state. Our boxer Winston has been coming here almost every weekday with some weekend/​holiday boarding. We usually drop him off in the mornings and pick him up around lunchtime, but have certainly left him there all day at times. Only being a puppy, I think he would be overly exhausted if we let him play there all day, everyday. Brandon and Dave (son and father owners) are amazing! Brandon has really helped me and my roommate with training Winston, and has offered to come with us to the dog park to help with additional training. He and his father are always willing to explain how our pup was during the day, and give us any feedback on how we can correct some of his «puppy behaviors».
I love knowing that Winston is in good hands during the day, exercising, and socializing with other dogs. I know he loves it there because he gets so excited once we drive around the corner before pulling in. Sometimes it’s even hard to get him to come home with us. Anyone who has a boxer (or any other extremely energetic breed) can feel confident that your dog will get out some good energy here.
As for the payment complaints mentioned in other posts, we have not had a problem. Yes, they prefer check or cash, but you can also pay with credit card (along with a transaction fee). There have also been times when we probably owed money for a new daycare package but didn’t pay until the next day. This may not be a common practice, as we are there pretty much everyday. They know to expect us back.
Overall, we love Queensgate Kennels. It is a laid back environment, where I feel like I am dropping our pup off at a friend’s house rather than a huge organization. I highly recommend this place, and hope there is one like it in Arizona.

My dog always comes home happy when he stays at queensgate! We have had nothing but a good experience here.

We have left our dog here over several weekends when we were out of town. We like this place because its not your typical kennel where they stay in their own dog run all day. During the day they get to play with other dogs which is great if your dog is social. He always comes home happy and tired. I do wish they had a bit more diversty it what looks like their outdoor play area, its mostly dirt and gravel, a little grass might be nice! One other slight downside is that they are cash/​check only, but they are pretty good about reminding you if it is your first time.

Quick summary. The owner/​father is overwhelmingly rude and disrespectful… Expect issues when arranging any sort of weekend pick up. In addition he placed unauthorized/​undisclosed bark collar on my 6 month puppy.
Some background: I’ve had experience owning multiple dogs and with multiple dog daycares. Our dog goes to the dog park 2 – 4 times a week, well socialized but barks when playing w other dogs. We brought our 6 month puppy here for the meet and greet and he did fine, he barked when excited and playing (per usual not aggressive at all), and he was accepted.
Our first visit we arrange to drop off 3pm Friday pickup 3pm Saturday. Arrangement was made without a problem. When I went to pick him up, spot on for the agreed time, I was meant by the very disgruntled rude father, he proceeded to remind me that it was Saturday and they have limited hours and this was a special arrangement (yet no indication of this was given when it was made). He certainly was purposely making me feel like I was putting him out and attempting to guilt me. I shrugged it off but was eager to leave this unpleasant man, he told me the price ($ 30) and I handed him my credit card, he just stared at me for a moment did not take it from me, so I set it down on the counter puzzled. After a loud sigh he Took the card said «Seriously?!?» The Slammed the card down on his side of the counter. At this point I am lost and have no idea why he is so exasperated, finally he says they only take cash. I assured him I didn’t know and that I could run to the chase down the street or bring cash Monday, but I sincerely had only my card. He handed me a business card and told me «open since 19** been cash only the entire time». Not the way to talk to a first time customer. We agreed if pay on Monday. He then told me if I didn’t pay I could never bring my dog there again. The insinuation that I wouldn’t pay was insulting.
He then moved on to say «good news your dog is bark collar trained». I just looked at him, kind of taken aback (bark collars had never been discussed prior nor do we have problems at home) and asked «oh.?». He explained that my puppy’s barking while playing w other dogs was not aggressive but was exciting other dogs to a degree where the other dogs were getting amped up and barking as well causing the play to get too rough. I understand the reasoning but with that said I 100% feel he needed to call and explain the scenario or ask permission before doing so, and he definitely shouldn’t have brought it up in such a crass way.
Anyways, he carried on to say he wasn’t sure I should bring my puppy back due to the «you know with not having proper payment and the inconvenience of Saturday pick ups» (no problem). Kinda left wondering what happens to the dogs brought to Saturday daycare if pickups on Saturday are such a hassle…
When he finally got my dog he attempted to make issue that he wasn’t fixed (he has been since then), he was 6 months old and it was documented/​discussed that he wasn’t fixed but had an appointment when the «interview» was done.
In retrospect I wish I had almost retorted some of his rudeness but I was so confused and just wanted to leave, I guess I can just hope this review cautions others.
As previously stated I had no cash. My husband went that Monday to pay the cash (I certainly wasn’t going back). He talked to the son who apologized and explained his father had just gotten his wisdom teeth out. Whatever. Don’t show up to work if you’re going to be such a troll to your customers.

My dog Gidget absolutely loves it here. I take her 2 – 3 times a week so she can exercise and play during my long work day. Dogs run free in yards where they play and develop socially rather than going nuts in a cage. Arrangements can be made for early hours drop off (a necessity when I am leaving for work at 5am). When I must leave town without her I board her with them. Gidget is always excited when we arrive and can’t wait to get in the door to see her friends. The proprietor and his son are GREAT with the dogs. The price is incredibly fair. They know the personalities and tendencies of the dogs they watch. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Queensgate is a God sent to us. It’s Vito’s home away from home both for boarding and play care. I don’t worry a bit when he’s there as I know he is in good hands and is getting a lot of exercise. You can tell its a place dogs love as Vito bounds out of the truck and is at their front door in a heart beat. Thank you Dave and Brandon for taking such good care of Vito!

My little puppy (70+lbs and growing) goes to playcare at Queensgate Kennels. She loves it there, has a fantastic time playing with the other dogs and with the owners Dave and his son Brandon. She comes home from playcare and you can just tell she had a fantastic time there.
The facility is good sized, very very very clean and maintained, and the owners take a lot of time with the dogs while they are there.
We have not used the boarding feature but were given a tour. I would not hesitate for a moment to board our dog there. (unlike a few other boarding places we’ve looked at)
They are 5 star plus in my book!
