I am a young fella in life, mild ambition and a sense average self narcissism. Fearing old age. Yet I digress,
I walked in to this fine establishment; as I have numerous times in recent memory. On a quest to satisfy my inebriation needs. Such a fine selection, a king couldn’t of asked for better. I grabbed my choice of favor and directly walked toward the counter. At a glance, employees appear to be vacant. However as soon as I approach the register they are there to greet me. Now that’s customer service!
The rather pretty girl at the counter, explained that she had seen me before, and recognizes my pretty blue eyes. And doesn’t need to see my ID.
After leaving the store today, I knew. I am indeed as Barney Stinson would say, legendary.

Has wine, beer, and spirit tasting! No more worry about having a miserable bottle of booze in your cabinet collecting dust. Very friendly, they have often taken my recommendations when I ask them to carry different items.

This place really makes me smile. The staff is very friendly and greets me as soon as i get in. They help me find something if I need help. The beer selection is amazing. I can always find something I’ve never had before and the beer guy there is very helpful. They have a huge growler selection as well that is fairly priced and very worth it. I don’t have much experience buying liquor or wine but have gotten it a couple times and was pleased with my purchase then as well. This is a great local business I enjoy coming to.

Love the huge selection here. Just had a great experience with the super helpful staff. They helped me narrow down the draft choices for a growler fill with great knowledge of the product and an excellent attitude.

I bought a box of the high end box wine — not realizing there is an «expiration date» on the boxes — I never checked. When I opened the wine and tasted it — it was horrible. I wouldn’t even want to cook with it. This was not a cheap box — so I decided to return it. I had my receipt. Turns out the wine was expired and I got my money back. Excellent customer service and not a hassle.

I want to love this place, I really do. Unfortunately, virtually every time I go I leave disappointed in some way. In some areas they do have an impressive selection, but in others it’s lacking. Most spirits they seem to have one or two name brands and then some more interesting and difficult to find options, yet seem to reach for the latter goal without truly working up to it first. For example, for a long time one could get Hennessey and Remy Martin cognac but not Courvoisier, and when they did ultimately get Courvoisier the only thing available was the basic VS. It’s clear to me as a consumer that they are more knowledgeable about beer than wine or spirits just based on how thorough their stock is.
The other main problem is that there seems to be some brain-​drain in the staffing since they had to scale back their number of employees. Perhaps it’s because I tend to go towards closing time, but, again, if I have to explain what Courvoisier is to someone who works at a liquor store then something is wrong. There have also been three separate times I left my contact information for a special order and never heard back on any of them, even though the first time was within the first hour of opening day. In short, Mid Columbia has the potential to be an incredible shop, but is just too green at this point. My sincere hope is that they will be able to work through these growing pains and become something special.

Amateur hour! Posted hours say they are open til 11pm on Sat. We arrived @ 9:55pm, upon entering the store a male employee informed us that the ATM/​Credit machine was down. He said we could go to Safeway to get cash. We went down there, came back not even 10 minutes later (10:05pm) to find the store closed!!! Chicken shit move! They lost our business and all future business. Not how you run a new business, I have since told all friends and family. The West Richland Brew Shop is a cool bunch of people with a nice selection of beer, we will be going there from now on.

This is what we voted for; selection! I walked out of here with a box full of various hard ciders the likes of which I haven’t seen since visiting stores in Portland and Seattle. The prices were fair, and the staff was super attentive despite the rush of just opening (and you could tell there was still a bit of setting up to do). One person took down my information and said they would do their best to carry Blue Mountain Cider out of Milton-​Freewater which they sadly didn’t have on their shelves today, so hopefully they will follow through with that.
If you’re looking for a cheap drink, I’m sure Kirkland Vodka will suit your needs, but for selection, I don’t see this place being beat anytime soon in the Tri-​Cities. Very nice.
