Penny Paws Animal Clinic

Love, love love Penny Paws! Awesome, knowledge staff! I was able to get in with my puppy within an hour of calling and they did not make us wait when I got there. Not to mention my puppy got instant relief because of their in office treatment! We have come before and we will come back again and again!

I took my two dogs here to get well check up and shots. I buy my dogs heartworm meds from 1 – 800 Pet Meds. PennyPaws says they price match or charge $ 13.50 to release the prescription. So I said ok, fine I’ll buy the medication from you. The cost was $ 175 after a coupon that Pet Meds gives. So I emailed a copy of my invoice and I get a call saying they will take payment for $ 185. I said no, it’s $ 175. Oh we can’t honor the coupon. Well is that not part of price matching??? Everyone in the world takes into account coupons. I have seen in other posts that all they care about is money. Hmm… starting to wonder. I find interesting that I only stumbled upon them because they aren’t included in their overall score. Why are these poor reviews not included? I’m sure mine will end up there as well. I give my business to you and you lie and tell me that you’ll give me the meds for what I’m getting them elsewhere and yet now when it comes down to it… you won’t. Well that’s ok, I’ll take my paperwork to my other vet and they will gladly release the prescription for $ 0!!!

Ridiculous! 3 times in a row they have cancelled the mobile clinic services that they offer. And with no notice, and without confirming this change with their clients! Frustrating, when we are in contact over the phone (as well spoke about the last few cancelations), yet they do it again! Bad about returning messages and when they do they act like they aren’t sure why any of this keeps happening. How many times in a row does it take? Maybe mobile animal services is something they shouldn’t offer if they can’t keep up on their end.

I’ve used Penny Paws as my go to vet for over 2 years now– each time is as great as the last.
I love the staff and the low costs. Whenever I have a question or animal related concern– they’re always willing to help over the phone which isn’t like most vets just wanting a paycheck.
My dogs are extremely comfortable and loved by each vet/​aide we run into while we are there. I highly recommend Penny Paws.

Penny Paws in Richland Hills rocks my socks off. My little random terrier mix started acting like she wasn’t feeling well over the last day or so. She’s normally a high energy, happy dog so when she started walking in a crouch and didn’t want to do anything but stay in bed I got worried.
I called Penny Paws and explained I thought my dog had eaten something that was disagreeing with her. They were friendly and said they wanted to try and get her in as soon as possible. I made an appointment for 4:30, had no wait time at all, and we were ushered into the exam room. Within fifteen minutes we had our answer as to what was wrong with my poor, suffering pup. Turns out she had an infected doggie butt gland, and that’s all I’ll say about that grossness.
All in all, the bill was just over $ 100 including the office visit charge, medication, and antibiotics. They also sold me «pill pockets» which I felt to be totally unnecessary since my dog is a big fan of the peanut butter method of medication. However, given that I was expecting to spend anywhere from $ 200-​$ 500 depending on the outcome it’s a minor complaint. Penny Paws offers low cost vaccinations, so I figure it’s a good trade even though I have shots covered elsewhere. It makes me happy to see people able to take care of their pets properly, even when they might be hurting financially. Thanks Penny Paws!

I took my Mastiff here when it was time to get his manhood sniped, and it was hard to do that to my buddy.
The people here were super friendly and made me feel at ease even though I am not far away. This was his first trip into the vet for a procedure since he was a puppy.
They called me to let me know everything went well and I could pick him up at anytime even though he was a little woozy.
I expected for him to be in a holding area and look at him through bars before playing the hero to save my friend. However, he was laying on the floor next to the receptionist soaking up all the attention he could. He whined when he heard my voice and tried to get up like Charlie Sheen after a binge.
Anyway, the staff loved my dog and said how good he was. They treated my pet like he was their pet and that is all you can want from an animal clinic. The prices were beyond fair and the place was very clean.

I took my cats to the penny paws off of beach street because my reg vet doesn’t take care credit card. the price double what my vet charges. What I disliked even more was the fact that I asked to be notified before they knocked out my 10 year old cat because I would not of allowed it. When I picked him up they told me they went ahead and knocked him out without contacting me. Over priced in every way!

We came with out dog for vaccinations to one of the mobile clinics in Dallas. We cannot thank them enough for handling our very rambunctious Labrador.
The entire Process was smooth, fast and they had handlers to hold him down while he was getting the shots and medicine.
They had buckets of water since it was hot out but very easy Process overall.
Prices were great, and they allowed me to vaccinate my dog backwards as he was already 5 months old.

Wow this is one if the best in town! They had a pavilion set up providing the basic services for pets! We got the yearly package which is super cheap. They had the rabies tag on hand so that was convenient. They were very nice people working as well.

The prices and care here are good as far as I can tell. The reason for only two stars is the amount of time I spent waiting in this office.
It was my first time here — we just got our first puppy. The website says that appointments and walk-​ins are welcome. I have an almost two year old, so I figured having a set appointment would be the best route for a quick visit. Boy, was I wrong! My appt was at 10:45 and we walked in right on time. 30 minutes later we were called back to the [freezing] exam room. 30 minutes after that, we finally see the vet. We had been there an hour, yet there was no «sorry for your wait» when she came in. The vet was all business with not a lot of warmth.
The puppy ended up having ear mites and I was asked if I wanted to see them under the microscope, which was nice because I knew they weren’t trying to pull the wool over my eyes.
We finally got out of there an HOUR AND A HALF after our scheduled appointment.
Like I said, this is our first puppy, so as far as I know, the prices are reasonable. I’ll give them another shot, but if this spending all morning at the vet thing is a trend, I’ll be looking elsewhere.
