Rich Nails

I’m really picky when it comes to getting my nails done– most times I feel like the tech doesn’t really listen to what I want as far as length/​shape. Rich Nails was completely phenomenal in that regard. My tech (I didn’t catch her name but I believe it was Lynn) shaped my nails exactly how I wanted (between oval and rounded) and perfectly shaped on of my partially broken nails to blend in with the rest. We’re leaving for our honeymoon next week, and I will definitely be stopping in to Rich Nails for a pedicure before I go!

I just moved here in July and I’ve been looking for the right place to get my nails done. A while back, I made the terrible decision to get acrylic nails, and I’ve been wanting to go back natural for a while. I made this same terrible decision ten years ago, and when I had them removed, my natural nails were so badly damaged it was a painful experience.
I initially came here and got a fill after being dissatisfied with the first two places I tried in town. I’m the world’s worst client when it comes to making an appointment, but they got me in with an extremely short wait as a walk-​in. The fill was great. She did a great job of keeping my nails thin and as natural looking as possible, yet I didn’t have any issues with chipping.
Since the initial visit, I decided I wanted to go natural and went back and told Lee (sp?) of my intention. She has worked with me over a period of a bit over a month to carefully remove as much of the old acrylic as possible, without weakening the integrity of the natural nail. In this way, we have managed to get rid of about 80% of the artificial nail, and I’m getting the benefit of going natural without the downside of the paper-​thin, fragile, painful nail bed.
Of the three places I have visited since moving to Minneapolis, this is also the most affordable. Great pricing, great service, and great nails. That sounds like a 5 star combo to me!

Needed a polish change and reshaping of my toes, Rich Nails is so close to my home! It was super slow and I was admitted right away. The staff was friendly but hardly spoke or made conversation which is fine. The person that was working on my polish change filed way to hard or close that it hurt the skin near my toes. The end result of the shape was OK, I’ve had a better polish change. Rich Nails did the job but I may try elsewhere.

The one dollar sign was very misleading. I recieved a mani-​pedi for $ 90 after being quoted $ 25 for the pedi. Which quite frankly looked like something I could have done at home. That being said, the women were very lovely and their children were adorable. Especially Brianna. If it weren’t for the great customer service, this would have received a much lower rating.

I came to Rich Nails on a whim while staying in the hotel across the street, and I was very pleased with the service and cleanliness. The young woman who did my nails, whose name I did not get unfortunately, was careful and paid close attention to my nails. She inspected them carefully and even redid one finger that wasn’t perfect. She didn’t kill my cuticles like other places, and she recommended a type of (gel?) polish that was the same price of a regular polish that is supposed to last longer. Great place for some pampering!

Friendly/​clean/​well priced! All of the nail techs will sit and chat with your while giving you a very professional service. I’ve had awful experiences at nail places where they yank at your nails and this place is the opposite! The tech even asked me numerous times if what she was doing hurt/​pressure okay/​water temp ok. Can’t recommend this place enough. Legit.

I went to Rich Nails based on other reviews of the establishment. Liana was very nice and friendly. I got the pink and white full set. However the day after I got my nails done, two of them broke. Everyday another one chips on the corner. The lady who did my nails was a family member only visiting. Very disappointed because not only was it the most expensive I have paid for nails ($ 45), but it hasn’t even been a whole week and half of them are broke.

Lauren J is right! I work at big blue box and visited Rich nails today over lunch. Good choice of polishes, clean and very friendly ladies.

A agree with the other reviews. Lynn is amazing and fun to talk to. Her family members all do nails here too and are equally as warm and courteous. A real gem. My gel mani and pedi turn out perfectly every time!

I followed one of the technicians from a place in the Galleria to Rich Nails and so worth it! I’ve been a loyal mani pedi customer for two years.
Lynn even comes up with special Gel nail designs for me!
The place is clean and bright. The staff are friendly and do a good job. People come to Rich Nails to have their nails fixed after going to other places!

I love this place. Lynn has been doing my nails for years and I will follow her wherever she goes. This is a family operated salon and everyone is very nice and talented at what they do. I get amazing customer service and I have grown with this salon/​staff. They offer you water, coffee, tea upon arrival. They have the best products, it is very clean and I have an overall amazing experience each visit. Ask for Lynn if you get your natural nails done. She’s a pro/​perfectionist with her polishing skills. The other staff are great as well!

Attention people who work in this area of Bloomington/​Richfield (I’m looking at you, Best Buy corporate offices):
My coworker stumbled upon this place because it is near our offices, and I’m glad she did!
When I walked in I immediately noticed how spotless it was. Right away I was warmly greeted, offered a beverage, and able to sit down for a manicure. The woman who did my nails was so sweet and outgoing she even helped me pick a color which is a far cry from other places where I have had to wait to be seated and then rushed around, sometimes even having multiple people work on me. This was anything but that. She informed me that this place has all new management, equipment, colors and pedi chairs but that people still think it has the old management which has a bad reputation. I told her I would make it my personal mission to spread the word.
Here I am to tell you this place is all new in an old spot. And there is easy parking. And the sweetest people in the world work there. And you can get a mani in your lunch break. What else would you need from a nail salon?
