First and last time at this restaurant! For starters our waitress was rude! Ordered the clam chowder and taco soups! Tasted like they came out of a can! Worst soup I have ever eaten in a restaurant… Paid $ 25 for 4 bowls of soup! Where do u go for a fish fry where a cup of soup or salad is not included? Walleye was SO full of bones! Restaurant is very run down… bathrooms filthy and all you could hear was the yelling in the kitchen!

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a few years now and I’ve never been disappointed! They have an excellent fish fry, friendly staff and this is truly a great hometown place. Their specialty soups, Friday night walleye and taco tuesday are some of my favorite options. Joel and family do a great job with this place and we’ll continue to stop in!

We moved to the Richfield area about two years ago. We always go by the Old Mille and it always smelled so good we decided to stop one day. The staff and the owner were so friendly and accommodating when we got there. The menu is not terribly large but whatever we have had has been good. The one thing that I would recommend to anyone anywhere is their soups. Their chef creates some masterpieces in the kitchen and they are always out of this world with good flavor. They have a special every night of the week but they are closed on Sundays. They are also very reasonably priced. It is only a hop skip and a jump off of the freeway so it is not hard to get to.

Thought this was a gem of a find after a long hard day of shopping at Cabelas :) get a fish fry for sure. I don’t know if we could ever get anything else now…

This place is borderline dump in physical appearance. Bathrooms are not great, steps getting in are suspect, and the general feel of the place is run down. With that said, I love this place. And not in a «I love dive bars» kind of way, in a «great service, great food, and great people» kind of way. The food is really well done. Most seems to be made from scratch, little to no Sysco prepackaged garbage here. Fish breaded and fried here, meats smoked here, soups made from stock that is made here. They really do a great job. Have had brisket, salmon, curry soup, wings, meatloaf, fish fry… everything done to perfection. Staff is very family friendly and give you the vibe like you are an old regular. The only reason I cannot go 5 stars is the general appearance of the place.

Entrees here include a choice of soup or salad. Do yourself a favor and try the soup. Every kind I have tried has been fantastic! Especially liked the grilled cheese-tomato soup and the beer cheese andouille. It’s a large bowl so you may not be able to finish your entrée. Which worked out well for me because I wasn’t a big fan of the walleye I ordered on my last visit. The tenderloin trio my bf ordered was delicious as were the potato pancakes. This place is definitely worth a visit.

I’ll start off saying the service was great, they’re always friendly, but had some big issues with the fish fry. My deep fried cod came out undercooked and partially raw. That was easy enough to fix, they replaced it within a minute, but my 3 friends who ordered the walleye weren’t impressed with theirs. One of them couldn’t eat hers because it smelled and tasted so fishy. Don’t think I’ll be going back for the fish fry unfortunately… the whole unfresh fish thing is just kinda gross.
