12 people in line, 1 employee. Just close the place down. I have better service mailing letters from Hallmark.

My name is Rebecca and I’ve worked at this location for over 16 yrs. I’ve had some good days and some bad days but I have never had a day that I didn’t try and take care of my customers to the best of my ability. It’s sad there are so many negative reviews. All I can say is that I sincerely hope your future visits with us are better. :-)

I dont like to write negative reviews, but I got so frustrated with this, I just had to. This is the worst post office ever. Outside of the fact that every time I go in there, the lines are 8 – 10 people deep. I went in here today and as usual, long line. So, they had a machine where I could mail my package … Good idea, right? Well, I thought so. Got my label, paid for it. There are never, ever any priority stickers that they tell you to put on a priority package. Then, the lever that you use to put your package in … It was either stuck or intentionally set so no one could use it. Now what … Can’t even mail the package. So I thought, ok, I will just hand it to one of the two attendants as it already had the postage in there … Nope! They said I had to stand in line … Just to hand over a package??? She also said that this wasn’t a «regular» post office. Really? What is a regular post office? I did what they want us to do … Go to their automated machines. But I couldn’t put my package in the box … SO RIDICULOUS!!! This is just isn’t right!!!

Worst USPS in Richardson Dallas area I have an etsy store so I’m constantly shipping things and I have visited many USPS offices but this one!!!
I have never been carded or been asked to present not only one but two identifications for my credit card until I came here not to mention I didn’t have two on me at the time and it was raining so I had to drive all the way back home. No where in the payment policy does it say I have to present two IDs. Anyways I kept my cool but when I came back the line was backed up plus not to mention the attitude from the employees. Try to stay away from this USPS if you have a short fuze because I can assure you that you won’t be happy leaving.

Avoid this post office if at all possible. People who work there seem to take pleasure in being rude to the customers. I realize they work with the public, which can be frustrating, but they really go to an extreme to be ugly. They Bark at you to get in line, and act like it’s an imposition to help you when you get to the counter. And of course they only have one pace: slow as possible. It used to be much better, with friendly employees, but I don’t see those people there anymore. Now I use the post office online, and hand my packages to my mailman, who couldn’t be nicer and will bring things to my door.

Super rude. Find another post office.

I am not a big fan of Post offices. I have visited very few that were great. This one has been the worst experience I have ever had every time I go.
The line is always backed up, and always one worker behind the counter.
The worker behind the counter, seems to know very little about her job.
I have an eBay business and I always prepay and print my label at home, main reason, to avoid the long lines at the post office. I always drop my prepaid packages on the counter at any post office, except this one…
Today, at 1:35p, I walk in with 5 packages and I bypassed the long line to drop them off at an empty counter. (3 empty counters).The one worker looks at me and says, «yous got to take those witch you and get in the back of the line». I told her they were already paid for and ready to be shipped. She looked at me like she could care less. Then it occurred to me, she could care less. I have NEVER had to do this at any of the other 20 post offices I have visited.
I know writing this review will not help anything, I just hope this worker and the manager of this branch will find something they enjoy.
I will never go back to this post office, and I hope others won’t go there. They are destined to have a bad experience.

I’m America, especially Texas were suppose to be nice and care about people. But not the United States postal service. Very rude and obviously hate their jobs and milk the system. We shouldn’t have to put up with rude people when we’re paying them.

I hate having to write negative reviews about a business, but after my experience this afternoon, I can’t let this go. I walked into the post office on Coit Road with my package and noticed there was a large line. Ok, I need to get my box and fix it anyway, so maybe it will be better by the time I finish. I got the box, finally found the tape and began to fix my box. I have to insert here that I am 78 yrs old and things are a bit harder for me now than they use to be, plus I am very short and have a hard time reaching counters. I tried to pull the tape open and put on the package but because there wasn’t a scissors there I couldn’t rip the tape. So I gave up on it and got at the end of a long line and waited my turn. When I got to the women behind the counter and she finally addressed me,(she was yelling at the man working next to her, who was trying to help an older women with her social security check. She told him to stop helping her because they were to learn to do them themselves.) I put my box on the counter, she ask me why I didn’t fix it? (mind you all of this was so loud that everyone heard everything). I told her I couldn’t rip the tape. She tossed the box back at me with the tape sitting on top of it and gave me a scissors. Then proceeded to say, «If people like you wouldn’t walk off with them, there would be scissors out there». I didn’t say any more to her just walked away to fix my box. However, by then my hands were shanking and I couldn’t get it together. This nice young lady came to my rescue. Fixed the box for me. I then tried to fill out the label and could barley write because my hand was shanking. I will never go back there even though it is only about a mile from my house. By the time I got to the car, I was a total wreck. It would have been worth the drive for me to go to the Richardson station, which I will do from now on.
It is one thing to have a bad clerk, but quite another thing to be humiliated in front of a lot of people. That women in there is a disaster.

²⁴⁄₇ PO Box lobby makes this Post Office a 4-​star resource. They have one of those fancy electronic postage service machines and a large box mailbox for when they’re closed. They are only open from 10 – 4 M-​F at the window. So, that’s a drawback. But, the window clerks are super friendly and I’d invite any of them to a cook out at my place, they’re that nice! Hey, and Money Orders are only $ 1.15 !

«Don’t move until I say you can” — seems to me the attitude of employes at this location. You will also notice the tacky little sign that reads, «Wait until you are called». They wait on customers with the speed of molasses. I dread going to the post office and will delay as long as I can. I have never seen anyone smile at this location and they all seem to hate their jobs. With the salaries these people are drawing they should be pleasant to customers and want them to come back. If the post office is serious about closing some locations, I would like to nominate this location for closing and install a kiosk and stamp machine that works instead. Shipping packages can already be shipped for less at both Fed X and UPS and your package will get there on time and undamaged.

This is a nice little post office. The staff is friendly and very helpful, not like some postal employees at the busier locations. The lady in front of me was evidently a regular and the postal staff all knew her and asked if she was doing better. They all seemed to genuinely care. In the days where we never really know our postal staff anymore it was highly refreshing to see that. Great job Mailmen and Mail women of the USPS at the Promenade off of Coit!!!

I’m sure you’ll be shocked, but USPS Promenade is full of condescension. I’d note how slow they are, but that’s about as useful as Unilocaling that the Arctic is cold. If/​when you go in, get ready to be spoken to like you’re a total moron. Apparently I am, because I can never do anything correctly. I mean, why haven’t I memorized the arcane shipping rules? If you mail Priority, you can’t use this form. If you want a signature, you need that form. If you need it a certain day, it has to be smaller than this. Don’t put it there. Don’t do that. I got it! It’s Brain Surgery and USPS Promenade knows all the answers. I’m sure it’s a BFOQ to have zero personality or customer service skills. Why would they? They’re government employees *and* union. You think Capone was untouchable? Just take my package and let me go home, drink some turpentine, and kill the last four brain cells.

At my last apt I noticed popped locks and the boxes at my new apts looked a little shady, so I’m resorting to a PO BOX.
I got a PO Box here at this station since it’s conveniently on my way to class and it’s right smack between a Subway and a Neighborhood Walmart which makes for added convenience in a trip. I forgot how much I prepaid for a year, but I thought it was worth it for it’s advantages. 24 hour access, lit all day, mail security, prompt delivery, and if you need to pick up packages you’re all ready there!
