The Home Depot

I can’t help it — I love Home Depot! I find myself at this location a lot and get great service. They have someone at the door to point me in the right direction, which today was keys — many many keys. The greeter actually asked me if I was all right which startled me (I mean, I was tired and not wearing makeup but still) until I remembered I had six stitches in my forehead from a fall last week. He sent me right to the key guy and I got about ten keys made. They had the coolest keys. I got a Sock Monkey key for home, a polka dot key, a zebra stripe key — no more fumbling trying keys until you find the right one. He was patient, too, since I was acting like a ten year old. I’ve gotten a butane torch there (for crime brûlée), various poisons and killers, and now Sock Monkey keys. And they noticed I busted my head open. Good service!

Worst customer service ever. Sales people not there when they tell you they will be there. Waste of my time with multiple visits

Two keys copied. Very nice man helped me. One key worked fine, the other didn’t unfortunately. Came back to the store. A different man helped me, explained why it didn’t work, he recognized the problem, and fixed it. Then gave me one extra key free for my trouble. Couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. I love this store! The people who work here always know what to do, how to fix things, and how to use the products they sell. And they’re nice!

The best people here are the cashiers.
Everyone else just tries to look busy. And if you ask any (ones I have so far) it’s like you interrupted their whole day. Also with no conversation or anything

Most times I can go to a Home Depot and find everything with a bit of ease — not so much at this location

Mad props to this location for a helpful and friendly staff. I visited late on a Saturday night looking for help with a DIY project and Asiegbu was great about cutting me what I needed. I was worried that there might not be anyone there at that hour ago could use all the equipment but he was great about understanding what I needed done and just a pleasure to chat with in general. Thanks for getting it real, Home Depot!

I bought a Ryobi 10″ drill press to do some work on my car. After assembling it and doing a few things I found that the drill wasn’t going to stand up to the stress I needed. After some research I found others having the same issue with this particular brand. I decided I would return it and buy another brand off Amazon Prime. I went into the store with the item. I repackaged it very neatly and even cleaned everything, including the manuals. I had my receipt and paid cash. The cashier was extremely friendly. They checked the box and everything was there and without any further questions refunded me my money. This was great customer service! Thank you so much I will defiantly be shopping here more as I purchased a new home and will need appliances.

This place is hit or miss for me. Sometimes the employees are helpful and other times they won’t give me the time of day. I went in a few weeks ago to get wood planks. I asked one of the guys in the wood section to cut off 4 pieces in a specific size. He looked at me and said «we can’t do that» and walked away. Completely confused I left and went to Lowes where they cut the planks exactly as requested. I went back to Home Depot last week and tried again because I was needing to build shelving. I picked out the piece I wanted and asked a guy if he could cut the the dimensions I needed. He said no problem.
Often more times than not I get a helpful person and then a non helpful person. This Home Depot specifically tends to be short on employees; if not they are hiding because I can never find them.
This is a decent place to go. Always clean and pretty easy to find things.

So I need to buy some air filter for my AC at home since I haven’t change it like forever! So I walk in, staff are really friendly they ask me what I am looking for and I told them I need some air filter. They direct me on where to get it. In addition, even from the door to the Air filter area, their are really friendly and ask me anything I can do to help. So next time I need stuff for home, I will definitely return to this home depot.

The employees at this HD are very friendly and helpful. I’ve shopped at this location quite a bit and always have a good experience. The only minor complaint I have is that they sometimes seem understaffed.

The overall staff at this Home Depot is not just good but phenomenal. We interacted with five associates throughout the store during our visit. The first was in the cabinet/​marble slabs and the like. He took us through step-​by-​step all of the information that we needed in a humorous and yet professional manner far exceeding the normal expectations of a sales associate. We next interacted with John in doors. He took the time in a kind and gentle fashion to show a number of options with which to improve our home. He made sure that we understood the options that made for a penny wise and yet a pound foolish, and how to avoid this pitfalls. He was exceptional at what he did. The next two associates were unremarkable one in tile the other in hardware. The last associate I believe his name was Robert, Stopped what he was doing and assisted us outside in the garden area then promptly assisted us with a number of items in the bird-​feeders. I live nearly 40 miles away and would return to this location over others for a major purchase.

This Home Depot does what only one other HD does in the general area, they Rent Tools and Equipment. Their Forest Lane at Josey does also.
Other than that, the store layout is different from most of the their other stores, not by much, but enough for you to have to look.

It’s an okay Home Depot, worthy of the 3 stars that represent that sentiment. This is the closest home improvement store to where I live, so I have frequented it multiple times. Oddly enough, I have gone into the store only to disappointed more often than not. To me, a Home Depot in the heavily populated area of North Dallas should have some of the basic stuff, but I have often left without the thing for which I was looking. Most recently, I wanted to get 2 new lampshades. They have them online, and at the Home Depot location in Irving (Valley Ranch) they carried them, but this location did not. I even asked a very nice employee if I was missing something, and he told me they didn’t have them here, but I could get them online. Somewhat thwarted, I thought maybe I could just get new lamps, since we’ve had ours for several years and a change would be nice. They didn’t even have a good selection of lamps… and that is really where the truth of my disappointment lies…
This location has most everything, they just don’t have a lot of options. If you’re looking for a part for a sink or a lightswitch or a lampshade, they will probably only have one option for you (i.e.: the only have part #759 847 from one maker), and in the previous example of the lampshade, they didn’t have anything (in store).
Maybe I only go to Home Depot for things I shouldn’t, so that’s why I’m giving them an A-​OK rating. It just seems that one of these times, I’ll be able to find what I’m after or at least not half to settle for a dusty Brand X variety.

This is a hidden gem for all home depots! The staff here is super helpful. Every time I go there to get something they are always helpful and actually know where things in the store are located. The is the best and most knowledgable home depot location.

Great products, close by.

This Home Depot is close by and I am a very frequent customer. I do have an issue with the store. Either every clerk in the store wants to help me find a light bulb OR there is absolutely no one around to assist you. Today was one of those latter days. You could not find a clerk to help you. We left and went to lunch then came back knowing there would be someone to help. We never found anyone that was available to help, it just seemed like everyone had disappeared. Perhaps this is because it is Wednesday and not too many workers work on Wednesday or perhaps they are all taking very long lunch hour.

The people who helped me were so friendly and helpful. I never thought I’d write a review for a place like home depot but these employees were great. Im not 100% on their names but Norma and Brian??? could be wrong. I use to always go to Lowes but Im going to stick with Richardson Home depot now :)

We purchased some flowering plants and they are still alive after 2 weeks so we’re happy! :-) Staff is friendly, prices seem fair, service is good. :-) no complaints.

NEVER go to the Home Depot flooring department in Richardson, TX. I ordered carpet for 2 rooms in my house and they came out and installed it. AFTER the install was complete the workman showed me a flaw running down the middle of the carpet. He said he would send an inspector out to look at it. Inspector came, yep, it was a flaw. He would tell Home Depot to call me. Kathy called twice, left a message and I started calling her back. Left 5 messages in the course of 5 days. Finally got someone else who promised she would have Kathy call me back. She didn’t. I finally got in touch of Kathy on Friday afternoon. She made all sorts of excuses as to why she hadn’t called. I don’t care — what are we going to do about the flaw? They will replace the carpet after I move all the stuff out of the room again — it has been 6 weeks since the install. I suggest that they give me a deal on the carpet for the other room and I keep the one with the flaw — OH NO — the ONLY solution is to rip it all out and replace. You can talk to any other manager and that’s the only thing they can do.
Lowe’s on Forest and Inwood has MUCH better service. That’s where I will buy the carpet for my next 2 rooms.

I have a chronic medical condition. I go thru weeks of pain and wanting to do nothing but sleep. But every once in a while I have a day or two where I feel really good and I get very ambitious on those days.
Last month I had a streak of 3 days where I felt really good. I rearranged the furniture in my office to make everything flow better. When I was done I realized I had a 10 inch gap between the edge of my computer desk and the tower of file cabinets. I needed every inch of that gap to make the top of my desk look less cluttered. I knew I’d never find a table to fit that small of a gap and be the correct height, so, off I went to Home Depot.
I found an employee back in the lumber section and explained to him what I needed. He found the perfect piece of wood, cut the pieces I needed to make the table. He then took me to find the perfect screws, the wood glue and helped me find the correct type of spray paint for the project.
He was by far the most helpful employee I have ever encountered at Home Depot. The next time I have a «feel good day», I’m going to go find him and let him help me get everything I need to build a book case for my all of cookbooks.
