went to the store to place an order, I had questions wish where very nicely answered, and I place my order for the food to serve at my daughter in law baby shower, I had plenty food the fabulous chicken salad was divine, the jalapeño pimento spread was a hit, and everything else was ordered was fresh and delicious, without hesitation I’ll order from them again.

This place is a well known secret and has two locations. I first tried their queso and cookies at a football party and was blown away. The hostess went on and on about Festive Kitchen, so I had to check them out. I picked up some of their frozen cookies and they are already individually packaged and so easy to plop in the oven. Great find to add some additional dishes when entertaining.

I have not tried their food, but from a business operation perspective, they aren’t great. I went to the Richardson location to purchase some in-​stock items during their normal business hours. The door was locked. People were inside working, but no one attempted to open the door, they just ignored me. So I called from my cell and someone answered the phone. I asked if the store would be open again, «No we are closed for the rest of the day. We will be open tomorrow.» That’s all she said with no further explanation. That’s fine, but this is one customer who won’t drive out of my way again just for their convenience. So my advice, call them first before going there!

Debra was easy to work with over the phone. I asked her opinion on what would be nice, easy finger foods for a baby shower. She recommended chicken salad tea sandwiches, zingers, pups in a thong and pumpkin bread. Everything looked pretty and was finger food but really the taste did not rock anyones boat. Also, it was very expensive for the amount of food that we received. I may just make all of these things myself next time at one third of the price and it will look just as nice and perhaps taste better.

Customer service is absolutely horrible. The owner is rude and every time I’ve been in there she acts inconvenienced. I have never written a negative review until now. I will never return to this Festive Kitchen

I hired Festive Kitchen to cater my wedding because their menu is so creative and fun. The food was awesome and so was the service. They were the only vendor, though, that caught me off guard with extra charges, not specified in the contract.

I went to a party a few years ago and loved the food. It was some of the best tasting food I’ve had. The food tasted so fresh and homemade, I thought the host made the food herself. Several months later, I was throwing my own party and asked her for some recipes /​tips. She finally told me her secret — she got all her food from Festive Kitchen.
This is not a restaurant — it’s a store that sells prepared and packaged foods, kind of like MyFitFoods. All you do is take the food home, warm it, serve it, and enjoy. They usually have samples of most items on their menu to try. Make sure you put your orders in weeks before any major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.); they have very little available the day before.
So, now you know where to get your food for your next party. Just don’t tell your guests where you got it! ;)
