Texas Land & Cattle it’s called… so you expect a great steak. Nothing doin. Was thoroughly disappointed with their signature«smoked sirloin.» They had pictures of it all over the menus. The rude waiter/bartender did suggest I try something else before I ordered it, but no, I wanted the specialty of the house. No need to go back to try something else, you’re better off at Longhorn Steakhouse…

It was OK. The greeter didn’t listen to us when I said we have a reservation at 7 and thought that I meant 7 ppl and tried to take us to the back room. The food was decent, but the service was subpar at best. If the place is empty on a Sat. night, my glass should never get empty… know what I mean?

Happy Mothers Day to the lovely Mothers!!! Now to my review I’m currently here at the lovely 3 star Texas Cattle Steak House and we call ahead to make reservations and are told its no wait so off we go to the restaurant to be greeted by a nice hostess Cecilia«we thought» saying that now it would be a 15 to 20 min wait no problem we go wait outside… Time passes we are at 25 mins being told the time was misquoted by Cecilia very short and with an attitude as if I did something wrong. She advised it will be additional 30 min wait because they are under staffed and basically deal with it… The attitude and the looks alone almost made me become very unlady like as I ask for a manager she so politely says the managers are both right there. Like there is seriously no respect or ownership for her actions or her employer. The manager Theo steps in and apologies for the situation and took over personally turning the situation around. We were seated with Reed as our waiter they ran out of somethings but he was polite and apologized for the service issues all and all hopefully the remainder of the evening will be nice. But the hostess needs to be spoken with because every day you choose to come in on a customer service job obstacles may happen but if you can’t handle it step away for a minute pull yourself together then try it again… Cause everyone may not be as nice as I was the next person may just lower themselves to your level of poor service and give it back to you with a slap instead of a smile…

My husband and I had a great experience. Our waiter Reed excellent and the Manager Patrick gave us very flavorful recommendations. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great steak house.

Popped in here while traveling for business. 1st time. Beer selection was fair, but not great. Got the Trio plate for dinner. I was quite happy! The smoked sirloin is really good. I also liked the shrimp. BBQ sauce on the chicken was just a hint of spice. Got the Mac as a side. Real cheese on that, which was a great surprise. I expect to come back next time I’m in the area.

There are no words… They should have sent a poet. Enough of that. There Famous Smoked Sirloin is almost too good. From a meat lover that has been living in Texas about a year. That and the service made it for me. You can throw everything else out the window if you want. The spicy Caesar salad was delicious and so was the double baked blue cheese potato. Can honestly say my new favorite Steakhouse.

I know it was a long time ago. But I’d like to note that I was contacted by the manager as if they were going to correct my experience. Asks me all of this personal information to which I easily obliged and then nothing. Silence. Absolutely nothing. That’s even worse!

After trying it for a second time we were much more pleased. The food tasted delicious and was cooked perfectly. I love all their appetizer choices and their desserts are to die for. I’ll be coming back when I need a good steak.

Veggies undercooked.. a lot! Service was extremely slow. Was not greeted by server for 15 minutes and it wasn’t even busy.

I’m not a steak person. I went for a meeting though and someone else was paying so of course it was delicious(like most free food). I had a steak that was finger linking good and peppercorn crusted. It was cooked medium well(closer to well). It was tender, juicy, and lined with fat. For my side, I had the garlic mashed potatoes which were good enough to stand on their own. The lady next to me ordered pecan pie for dessert. I saw hers and, apparently my face looked so desperate, she decided to share a taste. One taste and I was buying my own $ 7 slice of pie to go. You get a good hunk and i loved it. I could taste the hint of bourbon and the fresh tasting cream on top was a very nice addition. Definitely made me want to go back.

Our waiter David, who is typically a bartender was fantastic. I really appreciated his honest food and drink recommendations since I’m a picky eater. He was as sweet and considerate as can be. The manager, Theo really impressed me. He compensated for our wait on our steaks and he was really personable. He made our stay enjoyable and actually related to and socialized with the customers. I could see him becoming a GM one day. The food was delicious. We will definitely be regular customers.

So, I was invited back to TL&C in April by the manager. She was very professional and took my comments to heart. After returning since last year, the restaurant has undergone a lot of great improvements with new menus, better service and a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately, there’s no plans to bring back lobster tail but you never know. TL&C is trying out some new items on their menu, but I’m not sure I’ll be trying them. It would be great to see thicker cuts of steaks but the overall flavor is always good.

I’m visiting from Los Angeles on business trip. Steak was seasoned well and grilled to perfection. Side dishes are huge. Definitely a great deal. I don’t think I can eat this well for same amount of money back in L.A. Service was outstanding, they constantly came my table to check up on me. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Richardson.

Gave this another shot and UP’ed my stars David(the bartender) was awesome. I ordered a filet mignon in the bar and he had me cut into it to make sure it was cooked to my perfection… and…it wasn’t. He was very kind to offer to take it back and get me another made to my perfection. Second one came out great. He was nice the entire time I was there and made sure I had an enjoyable dinner I’m definitely coming back again due to this great service that was provided to me. Great job David!

Super super expensive, and around the same quality as Chili’s or Outback Steakhouse(and those kinds of restaurants). Expect to spend about double what you would pay at those for pretty much the same thing. Also our waiter literally left our party of two and stopped coming to our table because he had a huge party come in. I mean, really???

This is my first visit to this location and probably my last unless I know I will get a different waitress. My waitress pretty much ignored me the entire time. As I am eyeing the surrounding tables, I noticed mine was the only one lacking bread. When another waitress served my entrée, I asked her if I had to request bread. She didn’t know the answer to that question, but did return with some bread. Unfortunately, I wasn’t interested in the bread as I now have my entrée. When the manager came by the table, I asked him a similar question. He apologized and gave me a complimentary refill of my draft beer. Surprisingly, my waitress never apologized. Didn’t she wonder how the bread got to my table? Or wonder who refilled my beer and why it’s not on my bill? As a result, I lost my appetite for dessert which is a rarity when I dine out. As for the food, I highly recommend getting the quail while it’s on the menu.
