Don’t go ANYWHERE else. They guys here did what Car Toys said wasn’t possible — installed my XM exactly where I wanted it, not damage/​alterations necessary to my interior. And they were lightning fast. Would recommend them for everything they offer. Excellent customer service and availability.

I have been going to this awesome shop for many years and plan to continue excellent business with all my vehicles and family friends vehicles as much as possible. They will take care of any issue on the spot tint any windows in a timely manner and give the most professional advice and installation on the market. These guys are known for the excellent work and contracted dealership work for many local car dealers and companies. From window tinting car wrapping in the most unbelievable stereo systems, car wheels, lighting, air suspension, car alarms and autostarts, showcase material vehicles. Surround Sound is known for their unique work custom boxes and fitted stereo equipment and everything else that you could think of to make your car one of a kind. Video electronics high end accessories newest technology it’s amazing what this store has for you in house. It really is amazing some of the cars I’ve seen come through this shop and the amount of work the team has done to make every car one of a kind. I seldom find it in myself to post negative reviews online. As busy as I am I find it often not worth the time for almost any incident. It takes a special mix of not fixing the problem but charging me anyway and horrible customer service (possibly the owner’s wife). My subs were mounted in my trunk and while installing in my new tire (due to an accident) and taking out my spare NTB had incorrectly wired a single wire and the staff at Surround Sound place could not figure this out (but obviously would charge me regardless), told me they were fried, and I would need new ones. I ordered my new subs and went to a place to install that offered me a tremendous deal. Apparently my subwoofers were completely unnecessary as there was just a wire out of place and the new place fixed/​tuned it within a 10 minute period. The owner here had suggested me to stop going to amateurs to look at my speakers and wasting my money and I knew I had taken it to a ‘professional’ audio shop. With this I would head back and it seemed Surround Sound remembered me and acknowledged the problem. I was hopeful they would attempt to resolve the situation but as greedy as they were they immediately started deflecting without any sense of empathy or apology for my inconvenience from a problem they had caused. These incredibly greedy people do not care for principal nor manners nor to actually fix problems. If I ask to find out what’s wrong with my subwoofers at a car audio shop, I would would hope I would get a solution to what was only described to me as ‘a very simple fix’ within minutes of looking at my vehicle. Rather I was treated more disrespectfully than my words can describe by some lady, am stuck attempting to return 2 subwoofers online, and am out the hefty fee they charge for not even fixing the problem. They have placed me in a very bad situation and I have never left any other place in my life with a more bitter taste in my mouth. They do not at all know what they are doing. It is astounding to me that someone in a position of power representing a small shop such as this can lack such human decency and professionally. If there is a single shop in my entire life I will never return to, a single review I have ever taken time out of my busy day to write within years, a single sale I regret to no end it is one of the same at Surround Sound off of 75. I have never had worse experience at a shop or have yet to be in a situation where someone messes up this bad and starts yelling at me and looking for ways out rather than to rectify the situation. If I can recommend one thing is to go to ANY other car audio shop than this to save your money and your time.

Installed an alarm in car a over a year ago and now I can’t even lock my car with our it going off randomly.
I took it in 3 times and they «looked at it» but the issue was still there and so the last time time I took it in they had my car the whole day I asked them either to replace it or do not waste any more of my time. then he calls me at end of day to let me know they will order a new one for it will be there monday and come back on tuesday. I call them on wednesday and they act as if they do not know what Im talking about and they said they will call me back … no one ever called back. — Time wasted = 4 total days without a car. Problem solved = no. Will I be going back = no. Will I recommend = NO. Subpar equipment was installed in my vehicle.

Surround sound has done several of my cars from full systems to minor repairs. They have fair prices and stand by their work. Great customer service.

These guys are great! They didn’t try to up-​sale me and they gave me a military discount too! Amp, speakers, and tint all done in a few hours! They’re waiting area is comfortable and there’s a few nice shops in the neighborhood within walking distance as well! I drove three hours from my home town to use these guys and they didn’t disappoint me!

Went to Surround Sound based on a tip from my sales guy at Reliable Cheverlet. Was on a Sat, went in asked for tint on a new 2014 Impala, and AJ helped walk me through on the different options. Funny guy I might add. Picked out what level of tint I wanted and he said it would take about an hour. After it was done, AJ asked I not leave just yet, give him 15 minutes so he could inspect the work his guy’s did on the tint, that’s a first, most places by that time take your money and that’s it. He must have spotted something and had one of his guy’s do some quick work on the car. Went in, paid for the work, got lifetime warranty on the tint, again, many places don’t do that, and when the car was done, AJ thanked us for coming in, tint looked great, and I was certainly a satisfied customer. I highly recommend this place, and will certainly be going back to get more stuff added to the car over time!

AJ — is hard to beat. I had him look at a factory amp for my BMW and he looked for a used one trying to get me the best deal. I wound up buying a new one online. I called him back and drove to his shop to install. He did the install for an amazing price while I waited in 30 min. Would’ve paid double.
It’s not the highest end location, but you’ll regularly see Ferraris and other nice cars there — I am sure they go there for the quality and the service.
Will be back for sure.

i wanted to wait about 6 months to write a review on their tint installation service for my wife’s car. making an appointment was very easy over the phone and they were ready to go when i dropped off the car. it’s been some time since i had windows tinted, so i wasn’t sure what new products and technology was available. aside from the general questions about the car, the owner asked me more specific questions that would help me decide what degree of tint would make sense. that is very important to me because it shows that he just didn’t want to sell me tint, but he wanted to sell me the CORRECT tint based on the car’s exposure to the applicable elements. he didn’t sell me the most expensive tint and i really appreciated his honesty and approach. in the end, i met him halfway and bought the second tier opposed to the premium tint. pricing was very competitive, and they finished in just a little over 4 hours, as they estimated it would take (car did not previously have tint). i was instructed as to what not to do while the tint cured, and they were very welcoming to calls if i had any issues.
as i was waiting for the car, the owner’s kids were there visiting. just from observing how they interacted was a plus worth mentioning. they seemed to have been brought up very well and were very respectful, so i came to conclude that the way the business was operated mirrors the quality of the family life.
fast forward 6 months, the tint is perfectly fine and my wife endured the blistering texas sun, and will probably continue to do so for many many years — THANK YOU SURROUND SOUND!

Got a basic whoop-​whoop alarm and Kenwood CD/​iPod/​USB/​AUX Head-​unit installed.
A.J. was very helpful and straightforward on suggesting me products in-​line with my budget. Very reasonable prices.
Earmark Audio quoted me a ridiculous price for a similar setup
Installation took around 3hrs. The store has a nice waiting area with a couch and gargantuan projector screen showing ESPN all day.
Overall very satisfied with the customer service, and am glad I could walk out without feeling ripped off.

Though I live in San Jose, CA, I was in Dallas for Christmas with family this year and I purchased an after-​market Bluetooth hands-​free car cell-​phone system for my mother for Christmas.
Though I purchased the system myself from Amazon, I used Surround Sound to do the installation in my mother’s car. I used Unilocal to find Surround Sound so I thought I should write a review of my experience.
I first had called Earmark because I remembered the name from when I grew up in Dallas many year’s ago. But Earmark quoted me an installation price of $ 400 and up depending on the time for the installation. I had the same system put in my car in San Jose for $ 100, so $ 400+ was a shocking quote and I decided to look elsewhere.
On Unilocal,I saw only a small number of reviews but most very good for Surround Sound. When I called, AJ was very nice and professional and gave me a much more reasonable quote of $ 80 to $ 100 for the work.
I scheduled an appointment, took the car in, and had it back 2 hours later with the work done. the labor has a lifetime warranty so I have some faith that if my mother has problems, she can take her car in to Surround Sound and they can look at this for her even when I am in California.
After the installation, I did notice one problem that was mainly a problem with the after-​market Bluetooth system (not a problem with Surround Sound) in that the small video screen came loose from the dash. I called Surround Sound and they told me to bring it back in so they could take a look.
They resolved the problem (which was not really their problem, but the box itself) immediately after I got to the store and did not charge anything extra for the work.
I was very happy with my experience with Surround Sound and I will recommend them to anyone who asks me about Bluetooth car system installation in the Dallas area. I was especially happy that they worked me in at a busy time of year on less than a day’s notice and charged what I feel is a very fair price for the work done (unlike Earmark with their unbelievable $ 400+ quote).
I highly recommend Surround Sound.

Great service and reasonable price
I had a set of Dynaudio speakers/​amp from Germany I need to install in my car. Asked few stores around, all of them say installation will cost $ 1500, wth!
This installation need welding wires, install harness, extensive rewiring, basically swapping low end system to the premium setup. All 10 speakers in place, 50+ wires gracefully hidden from view.
I took the wire and speaker here they do the installation fast and very satisfied– at a very reasonable price. I’m even happier that they provide me the life time warranty.
Edit: 4 years and I did not have any problem with the system.

Wonderful place. They will do an installation job at a very, very, reasonable price compared to Car Toys and most other places.
The owner, AJ, is incredibly nice — my job was only supposed to take an hour but ended up taking 3 hours because the job was more complicated than they thought. But he didn’t charge me extra which was fabulous.
Needless to say I wasn’t prepared to wait 3 hours, so I got kind of hungry towards the end. There weren’t any food places nearby, so he had someone help me out and take me to get food. It was so nice and definitely an extra step that no one else would have taken.
A few days later he called me after the installation just to make sure everything was running smoothly.
I will definitely be referring them to anyone and everyone I can! Thank you guys!

Great service at very reasonable costs.
They pretty much do everything Car Toys does but for less dough.
You can tell they take pride in their work.
I got HID lights, new horn and tinting. Free lifetime warranty on their tinting. Can’t beat that.
