We love this place! Whether it’s my husband and me or a big group of us, they always take great care of us? Pupusas are yummy and I have also gotten their grilled shrimp and tilapia, which are great as well.

Sometimes I forget to write reviews and this was one of them. I came here for dinner because I had a craving for black beans and rice. I’ve been keeping a eye on this place so I decided to give them a try. Once I walked in I noticed the open kitchen which was connected with the cashier. The seating area is pretty small but it wasn’t as busy when I came in. I ordered a special item which wasn’t on the menu. So I can’t say what I got because it was a special item and must keep it as a secret. Not really but I did order something that wasn’t on the menu. I came hungry for beans and rice which wasn’t on the menu. I did get two pupusas, yuca fries, beans and rice. The pupusas were really good but I forgot what I got. The yuca fries were good too and stayed crispy the day after. The beans and rice wasn’t what I had in mind. Their version of beans and rice was veggie fried rice and soupy beans kinda like refried beans. I was expecting black beans and white rice which threw me off guard. I wasn’t aware Salvadorians had their beans differently. The meal came with a side of Salvadorian style cole slaw. The cole slaw was just alright and wasn’t my favorite. My favorite was the pupusas and second would be the yuca fries. Salvadorian food isn’t cheap compared to other Latin foods. So if you are thinking about trying this place out, know what to get or else you’ll be lost in Salvador.

This place makes me so full with their pupusas and large horchata! I love the horchata and haven’t finished it either time I went. Probably because we get filled up on their good salsa and black bean dip! The cheapest place that fills me up the most.

Love this place! Pupusas are awesome here. Lots of cheese inside and with chicharones is the best. Also the sweet corn tamales hit the spot… and order maronon… best juice in the world. I go here all the time and great service.

I absolutely love this place, the people are so welcoming and the food is delicious! The owner is a very kind and humble hearted person amongst his staff. They have an open kitchen so you can see how your food is being cooked, very clean and pretty atmosphere! This is once of my favorite restaurants, delicious delicious food!

Awesome place! Hole in the wall authentic El Salvadorian cuisine and I think it’s a family owned business. The staff are always ready to assist, accommodating(several times we’ve done in large groups and they didn’t have a problem quickly moving all the chairs and tables around), and of course very friendly. Lovely atmosphere, you can even watch them make your papusas from scratch! Very cheap prices if your going for the papusas, around $ 2.50 for just one which are really filling. Just fill up on their complimentary free refill chips w/homemade bean dip and salsa which is SOTASTY! Also they will even let you sample their authentic fountain drinks before you make a decision to buy whichever one! Wonderful service, tasty food, great atmosphere, and best of all — CHEAP!

Excellent for the price. Only wish they had a couple more pupusa ingredient options. Have tried all pupusas and tamals and never been disappointed. Their black bean dip and salsa to start are very good too. Service is very good. Can have a filling meal for under $ 8 that also tastes great. Can’t beat that, unless they had 1 or 2 more pupusa filling options that is. Will definitely return.

Ordered the Plato Tipico… wasn’t disappointed. Everything was fabulous. Pleasantly surprised. Nice to actually get an entrée that looks better than the menu picture.

Some of the best popusas for the price! You get such a great value, I can seriously fill up with just 2 popusas and leave here paying less than $ 5. The beans they serve as a complimentary appetizer is delicious, but I really wish they didn’t serve them with what felt like store-bought tortilla chips, everything is fantastic about the place I just wasn’t a big fan of the chips.

Fantastic pupusas, tamales and the dinner plate with 1lb of meat is great bang for your buck. I have now gone for lunch and dinner with coworkers and my husband and we all have on the keep going list. Very reasonable price wise, super clean and they are very friendly. Have had pupusas before but these are the best in Dallas:)

To be brief, it wasn’t that good. The interior is pretty small since it’s a family owned business by the looks of it. The tables are covered with leatherette tablecloth. Interesting choice. The meal started with some chips. They were those really generic, way-too-yellow-to-be-corn round ones. At least the salsa and bean dip were kind of good. They seemed to be freshly made. Ordered some steak dish, but it obviously wasn’t the right cut of meat and it was just terrible quality in general. It was more sinew than meat. In the end you are left chewing on this bubble gum textured lump of sinew. Gross. Yes, the papusas(corn tortillas) are pretty good, but seriously it’s just a little flap of grain, and hardly worth a 4⁄5 rating.

Ate here during an early lunch. The service was perfect. The servings were unbelievable. The quality of food was way better than expected. I will eat here again and would recommend to anyone.

Came to try their pupusas, had one pork and cheese and one bean and cheese, and they were both pretty good. I must say though that they were the greasiest pupusas I’ve tried in the Dallas area. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no fan of dry pupusas, but these were positively saturated with grease, no good. I guess I’ll just stick to the place on Miller near Jupiter, they’re awesome!

Its a small place run by a family i think. It has an open kitchen at the middle of the dining place. They serve you chips and tasty salsa as soon you sit. Bean dip is good too. The owner is cheerful and courteous. I got myself bean and cheese pupusa. I became fan of pupusa from the fist bite. Got myself chicken breast with onions, it was fair. If the owner is reading this, i would recommend get rid of their rice and switching with different brand or making it plain.

The service was awesome. LOVED the sweet corn tamale and the mix pork bean & cheese pupusa. Also had the spinach & cheese pupusa, but wasn’t that much of a fan. Not because it wasn’t good, I think I just missed the meat! The black bean dip they bring to the table was really good, but was really disappointed with the dollar store chips they brought with it. Will definitely return to try more tamales & pupusas, which is why I really tried this place in the first place!

Across parking lot from Holy Frijoles in Richardson. Don’t know anything about Salvadorian food but this appears to be the real thing. I had chicken & onions entrée — two chicken breasts w/cream and quite a bit of sliced onions, rice, beans, a side salad. $ 7.99. Stepson had — not really sure — some kind of combo appetizer — with a bunch of different south american veggie items — one was plaintains, piping hot, mushy but good. Lot of Mexican sodas — Jarriscos I think they’re called. Lightly carbonated fruit juices. Ambiance — hmmm — like I said the food was good. Worth a try if you like sampling foreign foods. Give ‘em a try, looks like a new place, and they’re trying. They really need to redo the menus tho, almost unreadable.
