Richardson Walk In Clinic

Made an appointment, by phone, gave me a time about an hour later. Wait was less than 10 minutes. Dr was quick to diagnose my issue, told me a long term prevention treatment, and also gave me a prescription to fix the immediate problem.
My son goes here when he has an issue, his primary care Dr, takes about two days to get an appointment.

Fast, easy, professional. The physician was efficient. Staff was courteous. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I would recommend this practice for all of those reasons.

Disgusting service. The lady in the front office, who claimed to be doctor’s wife, is the worst person in the World. I have been going to this place for a long time. She was a beggar, now she treats every customers like slave. You feel more sick after you seen them. Don’t go there.

Supposed to be a walk in clinic but work on appointments first and squeeze in walk ins… ive been here since 8am and am still waiting to see the dr it’s now 1020am… I will definitely never come back to this clinic again.

Great doctor — Dr. Jenks, but hampered by a less-​than-​competent office staff. Definitely NOT patient-​focused; much more concerned about collecting co-​pays and maximizing the number of times you have to return so they can collect additional co-​pays. Yes, I fully understand they are not a non-​profit operation, but they seem oblivious to the reality that that they would make MORE money if they put their patient’s interests FIRST.

Ive never been to such a scam clinic, I arrive at the clinic to be exact 9.45 am on monday oct 19 2015, I ask the lady at the front I’m here to see a family doctor regarding my rash, am i coming to the right place, they told me YES! so i go ahead and fill out my patient information, and give them my insurance card. I even ask them i have BCBS PPO, they say yes we are in network. In addtion to my insurance info, they ask me to pay $ 113.58 just incase my insurance didnt pay ??? HELLO BCBS is not a scam like you guys. This already seems odd to me that i have to pay upfront and they told me if the insurance cover they will reimburse me by check. ok whatever, I waited almost 2 hours, a nurse came in and ask me what happen, i tell her i have rash over the weekend, she write down some notes, she didnt even look at my rash and told me i will ask DR to come in and take a look at it, i said OK! the DR never came, the nurse told me sorry we cant help you and thats it. I look at her shock, Thats it? i just wasted 2 hrs and was seen by a nurse for less than 5 minutes, basically saying sorry we cant help and thats it. I’ve never feel so scammed, at least refund my money if you cant help me. she didnt give me any advice, any prescriptions, didn’t give me any notes any advice, anything… the DR never came and take a look at what actually happen. worst clinic and i dont know how they stay in business with such un ethical practice like this. I definitely will not recommend anyone to come to this clinic. Save your time, save your money & protect yourself!

As usual, very happy with the staff, facility and providers. I was out in 30 minutes and was given solid information on my skin lesion and a referral as needed to Dermatologist.
Thanks for being here for us. Dr. Jenks is one of the few Family Practice Dr. worth his weight in gold.

Great for primary care! I woke up with a sinus infection on a Saturday, got in quickly to see the PA who did an appropriate exam and prescribed antibiotics. My wife had a really bad cough, got a complete exam to make sure it wasn’t something serious — and was given a prescription for a strong cough medicine. She also mentioned the poison ivy on her arm and got a steroid lotion prescription. ALSO: Our insurance treats the Richardson Walk-​In Clinic as offering primary care — so our deductible is only $ 25… If we go to one of the «Emergency Care Clinics» it could be $ 95…

I came in a little after it opened on a Sunday for a severe sore throat and swollen lymph nodes. The wait time was fairly quick, the receptionists were VERY nice and polite. The doctor came in, took a look at me, prescribed antibiotics, and I was on my way. Very clean and simple. I hope I never have to go back, but I will go here if I do!

I always wait until the last minute. Like, for everything. So, of course if was December 21^st when I realized I hadn’t gotten my annual physical exam. I called and was able to make an appointment for the next day. I do have insurance (BCBS TX) and it covered my physical 100%. They include several blood tests, including blood count, cholesterol, etc with the physical exam test.
The receptionist was both gracious and helpful (administrative staff says a LOT about a business!). Doctor Jenks was pleasant and even though I showed up at least an hour ahead of my appointment, the my got me in quickly.
Recommend.

After refusing a prescription for a mild eczema, the receptionist told me to my face that I should get a another doctor… I was dumbfounded. How can a receptionist tell a patient to go find a different doctor just because the patient did not want the prescription. Within a month, I received a letter from Dr. Jenks denying me further service without specific explanation… Even though I have never been his patient (I have only been seen by the Physician Assistant). I was surprised not only by the receptionist audacity towards a patient but the extra fee of $ 102 a cream prescription.

At 3:40pm, I set up an appointment for my husband that is a new patient for 3pm the following day. He had told me to change it cause he knew he couldn’t get out of work but I had to work that evening so it slipped my mind to call. Mind you, I worked that day AND had to work a night shift after I picked up my son from school, helped him with his homework and made him dinner. I got home from work at almost 5 am in the morning and of course slept in. By the time i woke up and got ready to pick up my son from school, it was 3pm. I called the Doctors office and let them know what happened… The girl said, «well since you didn’t give us a 24 hour cancellation notice, you have to pay a $ 25 fee.» I said «well considering the appointment was made for less than 24 hours away, that would be impossible and besides that, he is a new patient and never agreed to pay any fees.» She put the ‘owner’ on the phone, Crystal and man oh man, she is SO RUDE. I explained it all to her and she said she didn’t care and that he had to pay the fee. Then I told her how he is a new patient and didn’t agree to any fees. I finally said «well I will just call BCBS and change PCP’s.» She really said «I DON’T CARE, I REALLY DON’T CARE ABOUT LOSING AN HMO PATIENT» I responded with a «wow, you don’t care about patients?» And she said «NO, HE IS HMO, I DON’T CARE» I told her I would be by to talk to the doctor and she said «DON’T BOTHER. I’M THE OWN AND IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT THE DOCTORS SAYS. I’M THE OWNER.» I told her that when people look up a DOCTORS, that they don’t look up ‘owners of buildings’ and that what she was doing to the doctors reputation was very wrong. She again said «I DON’T CARE ABOUT THE DOCTOR. I AM THE OWNER.» I said «bitch» and hung up the phone. I have never ever heard of a business owner hurting the people that work for them! Really??? It was SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I AM REPORTING THIS LADY TO BBB, AND EVERYONE else I can. She is NOT the kind of person that should be able to have a health care facility if she tells patient that she doesn’t care about them.

3 months down the road, Dr. Jenks is still my primary doctor.
No complaints. He’s always professional, always informative, always prompt, and very most importantly, always speaks his mind about your health issues (he doesn’t sugarcoat anything, but he doesn’t try to scare you if he knows you’re trying to take action about those issues — he just lays out the facts, offers information, and tells you what he thinks needs to be done).
The only issue I’ve had is one that every nurse, PA, doctor, etc has always had — if you mention the word «needle», my veins exit my body, steal the nearest supercar (Ferrari, Bugatti, etc), and haul ass to Canada. He’s one of maybe 4 or 5 people I’ve ever met who can nail a vein on the first try.

Dr. Jenks is such a wonderful doctor. He listens and takes everything into account. If you are looking for a new doctor, I would highly recommend him. There was a little bit of a wait, but it’s well worth it.

Great experience here! The office staff and MD provided fast and friendly service! And the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place.

Tremendous experience! What began as a «might as well check it out» phone call has resulted in a comfortable, confident relationship with a focused, accessible medical professional. Because I had recently entered the Medicare universe, and had thus removed myself from our former healthcare policy, it was a galactic bonus to me that the office staff file everything for me! No fuss, no muss. Just a tremendous feeling that I’ve got my very own doc. I cannot speak more sincerely. Please stop in and meet Dr. Jenks and his staff.

Dropped by this place, with a resp. Infection and was surprised. This place had a minimal wait and was clean, friendly staff, properly built rooms, I’ve seen fancier equipment but that’s not a concern. I will be back next time I’m feeling ill or need something checked out.
