I just paid $ 4.32(special promotion price) for one very thin piece of fish and 3 old, dry, very fishy-tasting shrimp that was room temp and tasted like they were cooked in old grease. The«old grease» taste seems to be a common theme with LOS these days. I keep giving them«one more chance» after vowing to never go back, but I check in from time to time and determine if they(any LJS) have improved. I have been disappointed repeatedly. Less fish, more batter… any new product of the month, etc. Doesn’t work anymore. Sorry LJS. You guys used to be the«go to» for fast seafood. I wished there were more Captain D’s throughout the metroplex!

Fresh fried fish. Coleslaw was slamma jamma. Jalapeños need to be fresher. Those Jalapeños in the yellow bags make me sick to my stomach. I got one today that was turning white from being old. I will be asking for the fresh ones from behind the counter from now on.

I like the crispy fried white fish and can pass on the hush puppies and fries. My spouse loves the hush puppies and fries and will eat the fish which is not her favorite. She contends that the fish is always greasy. I think it depends upon the slice of fish. If the slice is thin then the grease seems to soak in and if the slice is think the fish is just right. There are so many«specials» on the menu board, you need to take time to see what entrée you really want. The restaurant apparently is doing correctlty as the place had a lot of customers today. You may have noticed tag a lot of Long John Silvers seem to be getting rather old and they just keep«slapping» another coat of paint on the building and all looks well.

Me n my husband just moved here in Plano from NY. We wanted to try a new place so we went there. Love the place, the food and the service there. I like to read reviews before try out a new place n that’s the very reason I’m writing this. Strongly recommend this place :). Don’t forget to ring the bell on your way out. Bön appetite: D
