Very early in my career, my mentor realized that my natural talent excelled with Color… both hair color and analyzing skin tone as well. Add to that, years of advanced coloring education, and the result has been a career that has already spanned 3 decades, with rarely a day feeling less than joyful. My speciality is the Balayage hilite technique, which allows for more creative control and hence, more natural looking hilites. Standard foil hilite applications frustrated me the way they left the hair with the same prominent line of demarcation as «all over color». My goal, not just as a colorist, but as an artist has always been to achieve a more natural looking hilite… I found Balayage to be that for which I had been searching.

History

Established in 2011.

But that year is totally deceiving! I have been «self-​employed» since the mid 90’s, with the exception of the last 2 yrs with JR Salon. «Does not play well with others!» was a recurring theme on my childhood report cards. More accurately, I «play» pretty well, it’s just that I don’t «work» well «for» others. So, I am now back to a space where my clients can relax and allow me to spoil (or sometimes irritate) them without the chaos of a larger salon environment. I am too ADD for that!

My goal is assisting you to find the balance between «fashionable» and «classical», to appear trendy, without becoming a slave to the trends. We have been called the only artist’s whose canvas has personal desire and opinion! That is my challenge. Upon accepting that challenge, I also accept that my creativity must always evolve, which benefits us both. That creativity you inspire, translates into improved art for my canvas, which then inspires me concerning your hair color and style. Wow. Deep.
