Cloud 9 Hookah Lounge

This place is ghetto and dirty. The way they have the seating set up makes it a cluster if you’re there while it’s busy. You’re sitting uncomfortably close to drunk strangers. You’re being filmed and photographed without your consent and it’s so loud you can barely relay your order to your server. You may as well spend your money at a club, it is just as expensive and it’s definitely not a lounge atmosphere. Peace pipe is right down the street and 10x less chaotic.

When this place first opened, my wife and I used to visit frequently. It had a very classy atmosphere, had great staff, and awesome hookah. Now it’s turned into a gross, ghetto, club-​like atmosphere with awful service, and mediocre hookah. If you want a trashy bumping and grinding club experience, this is the place for you. If you’re looking for good hookah and a classy atmosphere, run. Never coming back.

They have a Groupon that you pay $ 12.50 for it says it’s a $ 25 value however when you go in the menu shows that the what your getting really only costs 12.95 $ and it’s only 10.95 $ during happy hour! When I asked him about where I’m getting my $ 25 value the guy said they have to make money to? WTF this false advertising is bogus but honeslty I’m ok with it since when we walked in we honestly wanted to leave anyway. Glad groupon offers groupon bucks to return my money! Place seemed creepy and gross! Thanks for wasting my drive here on your false advertising guys

So let me start with this review by saying that i been to a lot of hookah bars in Dallas:
The hookah in cloud 9 is pretty good i actually like that they have a huge selection of flavors. However food wise this place sucks:
The pita bread was COLD AND OLD and the hummus seems like they just took it out of the fridge. They dont sell drinks herebso you basically have to bring your own drink or ask some guy that doesnt not belong to the business but sells full bottles of alcohol. No dance floor just couches. This place its okay but i been to better hookah bars.

My friends and I have gone here several times and it used to be fun but every time we have gone it’s gotten worse. Tonight was the last visit for sure. The owner was the most disrespectful I’ve ever seen. He was very touchy, in our faces, asked us to come one at a time with him to get drinks in the «limo in the alley», and making me and all my 8 girlfriends so uncomfortable. When he wouldn’t leave us alone, we told a worker that he was making us feel this way and the owner turned the lights on and started yelling and kicked us all out for no reason other than saying we didn’t have id’s which we all had in our hands after we used them and paid to get in. He was clearly heavily drinking and grabbing the workers arm and was pulling him around telling him to make us leave. The worker was so nice to us and explained that he was embarrassed at how he was acting and waived our entire bill. He was the only thing that would make me ever even consider coming back (but I won’t). He has been there every time we went, I wish I knew his name but he is such a friendly and nice guy. I would definitely recommend finding somewhere else to go out.

My husband and I went here Saturday 11−7−15 with another couple and the place is «Okay».
They do nickel and dim you so watch your bill closely.
The original check added gratuity for our party of Four when their menu clearly start gratuity is not for a party of four
The food came out quick the wings were over cooked and the gyro was once again okay.
The couch had wholes in it.
The initial music was good then the DJ showed up and the good music went out the window.
No dance floor so you really just chill and smoke.
Oh yeah yes they charge a bottle fee for bringing your own liquor and they also charge a bucket fee for bringing you ice in a red bucket with four plastic cups.
My husband and my friends husband did not want to smoke so they were charged an entrance fee of $ 5 each even though I called the place and ask did it cost to come in I was no they charge after 11:00pm we got there at 9:00pm.
Would I go again naw but I do want to try another hookah place.

A few pals and I came from San Antonio and wanted to have a late hookah sesh and maybe a couple drinks, we arrive and there’s a bouncer at the door 10 $ per person plus 3 $ each person if you byob the hookahs are 15 $ per two flavors but each hookah is originally two flavors and since there’s four of us it’s «two people per hookah» which is an extra 30 dollars and to TOP everything off they use instant coals. Completely not worth the money, bad hookah, bad hookah, bad dj. Brutal but honest pls don’t waste your time/​gas.

After going here on 3 separate occasions I finally had to write a review. I absolutely love this place! Great selection of hookah flavors with a great music selection & chill atmosphere. Very fun lounge! I personally recommend the Blue Mist-​Mint with an ice tip very smooth draw & gives beautiful clouds if that’s your thing. Service for new coals can be a little slower than most but overall that’s probably the worst thing about this place. Will definitely continue coming here!

Worst place ever!!! I have never been to a place who treats people like pieces of crap! Don’t come here unless you want to be disrespected! The owner is a tool who needs a hobby. Girls were doing drugs in the bathroom. Got our tab 2 hours early because the waitress said we were going to run out on our tab. The man at the front door with a ponytail is crazy and entitled. Please you hand out wristbands with your cheap hooker girlfriend. Don’t go here save your money!!!

Met some friends for a spot just before went to a club. We found Cloud 9 on Unilocal*and decided to visit. Cloud 9 offers BYOB, they have great music and real hookahs. What more could you ask for?

My friend and I showed up about 7 PM on a Saturday night and basically had the entire front room to ourselves for a good hour maybe more. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They were quick to serve us even when the place got crowded. We were there from 7 until just after 11. Once it got dark and crowded the music got really loud and it turned into more of a night club feel then the relaxed, quiet place it had been. That is my only complaint. Even when it got busy they staff was still super attentive and constantly came by to assist us with anything. IT is a BYOB place which honestly helps it stay cheap! We definitely have plans to return soon!

I haven’t even been inside and this is one of the worst hookah places I’ve been to. In the time we have been sitting outside (because this place is apparently over capacity), we have seen 20 people exit and somehow my friend and I are still not allowed in. We’ve seen the «bouncer» shove a guy for just standing there. We’ve seen the «bouncer» let people out and when they tried to return, refused to let them back in, even though all their jackets, purses, and everything else was still inside. He’s currently yelling at a group of people who told him that all their stuff is inside. I’ve never seen someone be such an ass before to patrons. At least the music is good… From outside.

Best hookah lounge in town! Live dj plays a mix of Caribbean, reggae, and hip hop! Bring your dancing shoes and you’ll have a great time!

My friends and I were in Dallas for the weekend and ended up here after leaving a club, and looking for an after-​hours spot. The only thing I’d complain about is they weren’t serving alcohol. But, apparently, places can’t serve alcohol in Dallas after 2am. So, it’s not their fault. I’m just not used to it, as I’m not from Dallas. Everything else was amazing. The atmosphere was crazy. Everybody was just having fun without being obnoxious. If I’m ever back in Dallas, I’m sure I’ll end up here again.

I don’t know why this place doesn’t have 5 stars. One of the best hookah lounges in dallas/​richardson area. It’s clean and cute and the djs are awesome. It gets crowded on Thursday and the weekends. The hookahs are really good and the owner is awesome. Must check this place out :)

Me and my friend wanted to dry a new Hookah lounge we visited cloud 9 on a Thursday night we get there and they are charging 5 bucks to get in then we get in the place to find out that they dont serve alcohol… huh? No alcohol!!! We quickly existed stage left… Then on top of that once we were inside they tried to charge us an additional $ 10 for the hookah because they counted Thursday as apart of the weekend!!!

Owner is amazing. He caters to his customers personally and makes sure the service is great. Good place for a chill night with friends or over the weekends to turn up.
Music is great. DJ plays a variety of music from arabic, top 40 rap, club house depending on the mood of the night. Check it out for sure!

We had a wonderful experience here. The koobideh kabobs were the best in town, the atmosphere was awesome. Very quick service, hookahs are wonderful. The manager Chris is delightful, he really took care of our wants. We will definitely be coming back here again and again!

I come here 4 times a night because the service and atmosphere is that awesome. I was never into hookah until I started to come here. The crowd is mixed among UTD students to good vibes of other cities on the weekends. As for food, the menu has many choices to accommodate any person. (chicken tenders, Mediterranean, fijitas, etc) on the weekends, there’s a pretty decent size crowd with a professional DJ that plays anywhere from house to bachata. I highly recommend you come check this place out!!!

Awesome chicken schwarma wrap and great service! Cool atmosphere and the ice tip «Sex on the Beach» is by far my favorite hookah flavor.
