History

Established in 1989.

I started The Blind Depot out of my home in 1989. Living in the Dallas area, I enjoyed the beautiful, bright sunny days but boy, did it get HOT! In my own home, I managed the sunlight with blinds to reduce my energy bills while still enjoying the view. Blinds and draperies also allowed me to help customers decorate with color and I was invited in to see many beautiful homes — some traditional, some modern, others eclectic. Window coverings enhanced the beauty of every room and the outdoor views became part of the décor.
