History

Established in 1984.

We began in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota in 1974 and moved to Lexington, Kentucky in 1984. I continued there for 30 years as D & S Construction. I moved back north to Rice Lake, Wisconsin in 2013. I’ve been a member of the BBB of Lexington and Home Builders Association, and now the BBB of Northern Wisconsin.

In 1971 I began college out of the Air Force at the U of MN in Minneapolis. It was there that I met the Lord Jesus and my life took another direction (read my testimony here: pas​torsb​.com/​t​e​s​t​i​m​o​n​ies-4) I am a graduate of Winona State University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Industrial Education (shop teacher). I only did substitute teaching as I continued to build my business. I moved to Lexington, Kentucky in ’84. D&S Construction began there. I always felt like I was in another culture while living there, as tobacco and horse farming are big in that state. In 2010 I was engaged to my long time friend, Betty, whom I’d first met in my first Bible study in MN. We were married in Cumberland, WI, where Pastor Steve Brown, my good friend, was a pastor. Three years later, Betty and I moved to Rice Lake, Wisconsin where we’d spent a portion of our honeymoon. We live only a couple hundred yards from the lake. It is beautiful up here and we are so glad to be with friends who love God
