History
Established in 2011.
Carter moved to Northern Virginia and got a job in staffing in 2010 which allowed him to help people on a daily basis. Once settled, Carter began to rebuild his dog training business but before he jump started his new company Carter decided to first gain a deeper understanding of dog psychology. He didn’t want to just be the normal sit, stay, come, down trainer. Instead Carter’s main goal was to help dogs with serious behavioral issues such as aggression, fear and anxiety. First he signed up for educational certification courses and gained a academic understanding of the dog, all of its functions and abilities to learn. Carter furthered his education by reading many dog psychology books and gaining additional hands on expereince working with various breds of dogs and trainers. Once he soaked in everything he could Carter decided to start The Missing Link Dog Training and put his knowledge to good use, helping people and and animals at the same time to achieve a happy and balanced life.
Meet the Business Owner
Carter F.
Business Owner
As a kid growing up in Southwestern Virginia Carter has been surrounded by animals most his life. From his parents breding Labrador Retrievers to his Father having a farm full of Ostriches, Goats and Rabbits, Carter has spent much of his life dealing with different animals. As a teenager Carter trained his first Labrador to hunt and retrieve which was the first moment it all clicked for him. He started training other dogs in his hometown and gained vast knowledge by learning from an established trainer. Shortly after Carter headed off to college where he continued to train dogs over the next four years and progressed his knowledge through constant studying and hands on practice.
