History

Established in 2011.

We came together out of a mutual love of cooking sweet treats for our families & friends. It was our good luck that we have different skills in the kitchen.

Maura is a California transplant who now calls Virginia her home. She has been an avid cook since her teens, becoming a baker & candy maker when she became a Mom. After an 18 year career as a Birth & Postpartum Doula, it was time for a reinvention. It is still a Labor Of Love, just in a different way. When she renovated her kitchen 14 years ago, a Candy Drawer was an important aspect of the design. That drawer became the inspiration for our Company name.

Becca was born and raised in Virginia and her love of baking started in elementary school making cupcakes for her class every year for her birthday! She’s been baking all sorts of cookies, cakes and cupcakes for parties, company events, and now for the whole world to enjoy them! She loves baking because of the happiness it brings to others. Her cake making skills are legendary!
