I usually only go in there for the Starbucks just because it’s really close to where I live. But lately since a new African-American girl started to work there the Starbucks LITERALLY sucks. You ask for a iced caramel macchiato she gives you a hot macchiato with ice in a cup meant for the cold. You ask for a hot macchiato she gives you some sort of coffee with a mango after taste. Like. Wtf. I don’t think she knows what she’s doing at all. She’s asked me several times on how to make it and I’m like uh that your job to know? I’m not trying to be mean but like damn subway the Starbucks is the only good thing you got going on! Train your people better so they don’t keep you waiting for 15 minutes while they ask you how to make a coffee and whether or not it brings whipped cream(no it doesn’t.). Anyways this morning was basically the last straw. The girl working there not only had the BIGGEST attitude but she sucks at making coffee. It’s not my fault if she hates her job! If I treat you nicely I expect the same back. Not going there again smh.

This is certainly curious. This store has been in this location for ages and I even remember reviewing the place several years ago and yet, no reviews on Unilocal?Gee Safeway, do you have connections at Unilocal to get them to wipe out all the reviews? You did it the wrong way though, Safeway. You should have told Unilocal to just delete the negative reviews. Could it be that those were the only kind of reviews that were posted? I’ll repeat the basics of my original review of this place. This store gets two stars for its location. It’s most convenient to my house. Having said that, if you prefer a nicer experience, such as nicer staff, more choices, better selection and a self scan setup that actually works and is user friendly, go to Harris Teeter(my fave) or Giant down the road. Part of this store’s problem is that it suffers in comparison to the other two. If this store was my only option in the area, I might be more forgiving in my assessment, but for them to continue running such a sub-par operation in a community that has far better choices shows a lack of foresight and business acumen. Reston deserves better, Safeway!
