Dr. Darvishian completed her under graduate degree at The University of Virginia in 1997 under full academic scholarship. From there, she pursued her dental career by attending The Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Doctor Darvishian and her husband Mason currently reside in Northern Virginia with their son Cyrus and daughter Darya. Doctor Darvishian, awarded America’s Top Dentists for 8 years consecutively including 2014 by the Consumers’ Research Council of America, and By Northern Virginia Magazine’s Top Dentist 2014 voted by her peers in the dental field, is continually educating herself with the latest techniques and approaches in order to offer you advanced, state of the art, comfortable, personalized care. Perfect Smiles of Reston is a very professional place, that don’t keep you waiting past your scheduled appointment. The staff is friendly, cordial and professional; Dr. Aramesh Darvishian have top of the line equipment for quality treatment. I drive from Washington, DC to Reston because I like the professional and friendly treatment I receive.

The advertisement on the website that says Invisalign plus a teeth whitening starts at $ 1495 is a bit misleading. This only applies to cases where «only one tooth needs to be moved.» Anything above that qualifies as an average case, and for that I was quoted $ 4000. I went for a consultation and she showed me the package I would get which contained many additional services I didn’t ask for. When I asked if I could removed some of the services from the package, she said I could but I would still have to pay $ 4000, as those services are considered «free add-​ons.»

Went in for a broken tooth and was told the root was dead and I needed a root canal and crown asap, and was scheduled for early the following week. Having had some bad experiences with dentists in the past, I have learned to get a second opinion. The next day I went to another dentist and was told the root was absolutely not dead, and the tooth was filled and repaired within a matter of minutes. This made me particularly unhappy with Perfect Smiles, not only because the procedure would have cost a significant amount and was not necessary, but because I am 7 months pregnant. This requires use of a special anesthetic and my obgyn advised it is best to hold off of any dental procedures until after birth if possible. I did ask Dr. Darvishian if it could wait and was told that the tooth would abscess if I didn’t have the root canal done. I am rather unhappy with the entire experience and will take my family’s business elsewhere.

I left my primary dentist of 10+ years due to a change in insurance and sought out this practice to maintain my 6 month cleanings, etc. I continued here for sleep imagery 1.5 years before I just felt like I was being taken for money and being enticed to purchase services I did not need. It all started with my first appointment to Dr. Darvishian. All of the sudden I was presented with why I should spend more than $ 5.000 on Invisalign. Up until this point I had never thought I had crooked teeth nor did my previous dentist say I did. I declined the service and went through my cleaning and x-​Rays. The appointment ended and I didn’t go back until another 6 month cleaning. During the second appointment, I received a second consultation about Invisalign to which I declined and proceeded with my normal cleaning. 6 months later I return for a third cleaning and X-​rays. This time I have 9 cavities. I’m taken back as I didn’t have anything before and now I have 9 cavities. I felt very suspicious and declined they do anything to them at that time. After waiting a month I finally got an appointment with my original dentist to get a second opinion. I received X-​rays again. My dentist advised that he sees two cavities and that is it. He was straining to find any other potential cavities and trying to justify how this dentist could say 9, but was unsuccessful. On top of all this, I told him about my Invisalign experience at Dr. Darvishian’s and he was surprised. Normally he only mentions Invisalign if the patient feels something is wrong with their appearance, not some big sales presentation exploit.
Overall, Perfect Smiles of Reston has done a great job of purchasing the fancy equipment and having a designer style office, but this comes with a cost which based on my experience, is being passed down to customers in the form of unnecessary surgical procedures. I will never return.

I went here for an emergency dental procedure and paid over $ 1000 in cash for performed services. I then went back for a second time very shortly after and paid again, on the spot, for performed services. I scheduled a third appointment, missed it by accident, and planned to call the clinic later in the week to reschedule. Before I could, I get a bill in the mail for $ 423.00!
«Your balance ($ 423.00) due is for your broken appointment fees without 48 hour notice and no-​show.» Like, WHAT?! $ 423.00!?!
Corrupt, money-​hungry, bullsh*t Dental Practice with no regard for their patients or assurance of continued patronage.

I have been going here off/​on for 5 yrs b/​c I HATE switching dentists. Im fed up here and I have now decided to switch again. this place is a scam and sucks tons of money from you. Dr Darvishian comes across friendly enough, however she listens to her hygienist suggestions and just goes off your X-​ray shadows. Barely even looks into your mouth. Always ends up telling you that you need something including cosmetic crap. I’ve had braces in the past and I won’t get them again just b/​c she thinks I need them. The other doc in her office fixed 2 fillings and left me w major gaps to where I get food stuck constantly. Never had that problem before. She was in such a hurry that she screwed up and I have to deal w it and pay out more money. She of course blames it on shifted teeth. hello. they were fine prior to treatment! The office people will fight u for every penny even if the insurance covers items, they won’t tell you. They will fluoride u w/​o asking and u end up paying $ 28 if your insurance won’t cover it. Save your teeth, money, and time. avoid this place!!!

They are very good salesmen and will try and sell you services and treatments you don’t need, I guarantee if you go here they will try and sell you Invisalign. She even has all the accolades up on their front desk area and I am sure this is a huge profit-​generator for her. Dr. Darvishian had me in and gave me a check up then used a bait and switch where she passed me on to some amateur named Dr. Lee who was miserable. First of all they said I need 8 fillings which is a lot! In hindsight I am realizing that they probably added more to increase profits. The most suspicious thing is that now I can’t chew on anything hard like nuts, candy, etc. on one spot they filled… when it didn’t hurt there before at all.
So essentially I had a filling done on an area that didn’t hurt and now it hurts and has been this way for a month? I went back three times to see chump ass Dr. Lee and she kept giving me this lame excuse about my bite being off and that this was causing inflammation! What a joke, she adjusted my bite a few times and it still hurts… so now I’m going to a real dentist to get this problem fixed and have my X-​rays looked at, if I find out they drilled my teeth without cause I will take these snake oil salesmen to court! Crooks! I’m all about making a buck but don’t scam me out of my money and then do a piss poor job. Pathetic excuse for a dentist’s office, don’t be fooled by their fancy office interior and décor, they are SHADY!

The whole office is beautiful (more so on the inside when you enter the building) and everyone in the office is so friendly. I am terrified of the dentist so this is huge to me. I love that they communicate with me through email since i hate talking on the phone but also because i am constantly at work and can’t call when they are opened. they have been amazing with the payment process and will always work with me when i have issues. the only down side that i did not give 5 stars is that i felt rushed out. the actual cleaning and one baby filling i had felt like it was rushed. other than that i have no complaints. they stay open late two days a week so it’s easier for people to come after work like myself.

Two and a half stars, sufficient parking in the shared building lot. Nice waiting room with TV, mags, and water cooler. Customer-​facing cordiality varies, but at least paying after your visit at the front desk is easy. Some logistical issues where they set my bite molds twice: after they came back incorrect both times, the staff gave up on getting me a correct full set. My final bill was adjusted following an insurance claim, but the check for the difference was not sent to me until I caught the discrepancy and called to ask two months later where my money was.

I have been going to Dr. Darvishian’s office for many years. The practice is modern and always clean, which offers a nice ambiance, while the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Appointments are easily made online or over the phone; I’ve called for last minute appointments in the past and they always managed to get me in.

Last year I switched my family over to this practice after reading some rave reviews on line. I was not dissapointed. They office is open and bright with a very friendly staff who goe out of their way to make me and my kids comfortable. The did not push to have work done that was excessive and they explained the cost and procedure up front.
My correctlive care went very well and they staff took care of my anxiety issues I had going in and throughout the procedure. thanks

The practice is a pleaseant place to be in. They have all the modern technology but they are just scam artists and not a honest dentistry. On my first visit, i just wanted a cleaning, said i needed some fillings before the cleaning. I refused the fillings and said just give me the cleaning I asked for. She then said I need a deep cleaning. They then quoted me a price of about $ 80 for the service. Then the assistant came back and said we cant get a hold of your insurance to its either $ 80 or $ 120.
What kind of place gives you a service and doesn’t even know how much to charge you.
I later came in for the second part of my cleaning… which I wasn’t originally made aware of and when all said and done, the cleaning turned out to be over $ 300.
There was no mistake in insurance or coverage. They just failed to tell me that the quote was for only part of the cleaning and not the full thing.
Very dishonest and shady.
The other thing is there is only one actual MD dentist at the practice. And she said specifically to me, most the times you come here, you wont see me, but you will see the hygienist.
What the heck am I paying for to go to a dentist if I don’t even see a real dentist.
These people like many other businesses just want your money.

Outstanding dental work! Getting my teeth fixed at Perfect Smiles of Reston has been an amazing experience! I’ve had 3 appointments there and they have really done a magnificent job with a root canal, crowns and all that good stuff on my teeth! The offices are so clean, you could probably eat food from the floor! :) The work has been done in less the time that I thought it would take! They have an excellent staff with Dr. Darvishian, Mason, Dr. Nguyen, Mario, Anna, Vera, Farhat, Paulina and more. They are some of the friendliest people that you will ever meet in your entire life! Also, Dr. Darvishian always calls earlier in the evening after the dental work is done that day to make sure that the patient is okay! That is priceless! Saying that I recommend them is an understatement! They are absolutely wonderful! Check them out! You’ll have an impeccable experience!

Dr. Darvishian’s office is decently far from where I live and work, but I continuously come back to her for checkups because of the care she puts into her work. I’ve had bad dentists before and would describe myself as a generally critical person, but I have nothing but positive things to say about her and the practice. It’s a good feeling to trust the person who drills into my teeth.

Although the office is very nice you have to rate a dentist on their level of care, not just their décor. I went to this office for over a year and had some crowns done, cleanings and invisalign. Since then I’ve moved from the area and my new dentist has been quite critical of the work I had done (especially the crowns). I also want to point out that while I was being worked on by Dr Darvishian there were a couple of times when she was careless with the drill and caught my lip or cheek and left a little cut. Nothing major but her reaction to this (and I generally felt her reaction to problems) was to make up a story about how it was already there, instead of taking responsibility. My advice would be to look elsewhere if you need dental work.

I went to this dentist because I needed some work done on my teeth. I needed xrays and an exam for starters and I did not have dental insurance. I called them out of the phone book and they said they had a program for people without insurance. It was a discount that would save me some money on getting all necessary xrays, an exam and a cleaning. Also, discounts on any other work that was needed. It was the best deal I could find over the phone.
The office is beautiful, very fancy and very clean. They have flat screen tvs and a nice small waiting room. As far as I could see, it was all women working there. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. They did a great job of making me feel comfortable.
They ended up giving me a pretty good discount on all the work I needed and I will be setting up my appointment to have it done this week! I did call around and go to a couple other dentists before deciding, and no one compared to Dr. Darvishian.
I definitely recommend them! Prices are good, with the discount they were cheaper than any other dentists I called, and they have a very nice office and great staff.
