North Village KinderCare

My daughter attended Kindercare from the Fall 2015 to Spring 2016, unfortunately, we had to leave KinderCare because we had moved to another state. Originally, we had chosen KinderCare in the North Village/​Reston area primarily because of it’s proximity to our home. When we had come in to take a tour of the facility, we were impressed; which is why we had signed our daughter up. I will admit that I wasn’t a fan in the beginning, as our daughter would constantly be getting sick; however, that is to be expected in the winter months. What KinderCare did do was alert parents to other sick children or illnesses that were going around, so we knew what to expect and helped us better prepare.
The daycare providers at North Village KinderCare are extraordinary. I can’t speak for all of them, as we had our daughter in the infant room primarily; however, everyone was always friendly and had a smile on their face. I will forever be indebted to Ms. Meena, Ms. Laila, and Ms. Saroj, as they had taken amazing care of our daughter, who always seemed to leave with a smile on her face. I especially liked that they took the time to have activities sorted out for the children. Upon leaving North Village KinderCare, we were given a folder with all our daughter’s projects. I loved knowing that they were helping her learn and teaching her, even at such a young age.
I would definitely recommend North Village KinderCare to anyone looking for a place for their child to go. I know the feeling of being apprehensive about a chain daycare center; however, I can tell you for a fact that your child will be in GREAT hands.

When I was looking at schools to place my oldest daughter, I was originally averse to KinderCares and other chain daycares. I had it in my head that she needed to go to private, in-​home daycare, but a co-​worker referred me here, so I checked it out and I’m glad I did.
They were so helpful in my transition to putting my baby in daycare and I could tell that they treated my daughter like they’re own. She loves her teachers and they teach her things that I know she would never have learned if she was just home with me. They have a full curriculum and always have new activities for them. The teachers all help out in different classes, so as she got older and moved to new classrooms, the teachers were familiar. The school was also sensitive to the friendships made and tried to move buddies up around the same time to make the transitions easier (provided it didn’t hold one back or push one up too early).
Now, my second daughter goes there and she is greeted each day with enthusiasm and open arms. The times I’ve shown up at odd times for pick up, I’ve found her teachers playing with her or on the floor or interacting with many of the kids. It’s nice to catch people treating my kids the way I would.
One other side note, there has been some turnover and I think that’s a fact of life in that business. However, this was one of the things that has really locked me in to being a KinderCare parent. Anytime there has been an unexpected change (ie: one of our Directors had a major car accident), KC brings in teachers and directors from surrounding schools who know the curriculum and jump right in. Most of the time, I assume it’s a teacher from another class because they seem right at home. The kids are so relaxed and comfortable because the teachers really put their all into it.
It’s also one of the least expensive daycare options around (another reason I thought it wouldn’t be as good when I was first looking), but it’s a place where you really get your money’s worth and more. I would gladly pay more to them because they are truly worth every penny.
