Helping you to achieve your objectives in self-​defense, coordination, physical conditioning, self-​esteem and self-​discipline will be Chief Instructor World Forms & Fighting Champion John Chung and his team of professional black belt instructors. John Chung is a member of «Black Belt Hall of Fame», along with Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee. John Chung has been teaching martial arts since 1972.

As a traditional martial arts school, World Forms & Fighting Champion John Chung Tae Kwon Do Institute offers students of all ages to learn an art and get a great work out all while having a great time. Our school motto is «learn something,» «get a good workout,» and «have fun», after all.

Business Owner

John Chung is graduate of Wake Forest University and has been teaching martial arts since 1972. He is a member of the «Black Belt Hall of Fame», along with Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee. John Chung was very active in the competitive world of martial arts and holds several championships including World Champion titles both fighting and forms.

His technique has been compared to Sam Snead’s perfect golf swing and to Nadia Comaneci’s perfect 10 performance.



John Chung has been the featured cover story in several martial arts magazines like Karate Illustrated, Inside Tae Kwon Do, and MA Training. Other notable media appearances include on CBS News, ESPN, Fox News Lifestyles, Dance Fever, and the Regis Philbin’s morning show.

The «king of kata» John Chung continues to train youth and adult students to compete at the regional and national level. Several of his students were able to qualify and represent Team USA for the 2012 Junior World Association of Kickboxing Organization.
