History

Established in 1992.

Tampa Hardware is a family owned business since 1992. Our first location was in the Albertson’s shopping center at the corner of Saticoy and Tampa Ave in a store front with approx. 3,000 sq. feet. We moved to our present location 10 years ago. Where we have doubled our size to approx. 7,000 sq. feet and tripled our inventory and still growing.

When there is a need for the general hardware item, Tampa has it, or will get it for you. The same for many hard to find items that older homes require when doing some repairs.
Sam, the owner and his staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Plus, they will take you to the location of the item that you ask about if they are not ringing up a customer.
And they can offer suggestions regarding repairs that might save time and added costs.
I’ve been going there since I moved into the area 8 years ago.

About as good as a neighborhood hardware store can get. Great variety and prices are reasonable. Most folks would go to a large store for big purchases but if you need that extra hand tool, a box of deck screws, and a garden hose, come by here. You’ll be pleasantly surprised and you’ll be keeping local business alive :)

This has got to be the best hardware store I’ve been in, in all of San Fernando valley. The store has everything. Home Depot, lowes, osh, all these stores are a joke compared to this «one» little competitor. If this store was spread out like Home Depot, I think Home Depot would bankrupt

This store is the perfect example of how GREAT business is done. I like to DIY, and the owner and his sons have helped me in SOO many ways, answering questions and steering me in the right direction. They actually seem happy to hear about my projects, and help me feel confident that I am buying the right tools for the job. I will learn more in 5 minutes than I would at Home Depot if I was there all day. Can’t say enough good things, very grateful for this shop and employees, and they have certainly earned my returning business.

Rick L. hit the nail on the head. This is a true hardware store. They pack a great inventory for the size. This place has been here for decades and with good reason. If you are inclined to support the little guy and get great service in return, this is the place!

For people who think Home Depot or Lowes are hardware stores, just visit this place and see what a real hardware store looks like.
I have been able to find everything I need to effect repairs here. I have found parts for sash and door, to fix all plumbing needs and even the filters for my older water purifier system.
They have rows and boxes of fiddly bits. All the pieces you need to fix what is broken around the house.
Need to fix a faucet? Tampa has seats, washers, stems, etc. and will sell you the piece you need. Home Depot doesn’t carry many parts and instead will try to sell you a new faucet.

This is my neighborhood hardware store and it is fantastic. I am mechanically inept, so when I need any do– it –yourself work I head to this store. They have saved my bacon at least 10 times. Each person in the store is an expert and dispenses their knowledge for free.
My most recent example — My wife felt that I needed to get a whole shower door replaced. I went to Tampa Hardware with my problem and spent 44 cents to fix.
It’s great to be a hero around the house and a fixer of problems to my wife’s eye.
I’m a life long customer.

this old man is a mean man.
as his intentions are maybe good, this guy explains things in the worst way. I went in to get a few things for a DIY project and the guy working the counter was critiquing everything i was buying and why. Not only that but while i was in line he was YELLING at a man that didnt speak english, he could have explained it much better just saying a few simple terms in my opinion.
*overall the prices were «ok» and the man was just plain grumpy. I will not be returning
