Rio grande has the best tostadas de camaron, tacos de asada with chips and pico de gallo it’s delicious! & chicken sopes. They have the best green & red sauce ever. The staff are really friendly. The only thing I dislike is that they only take cash.

Very polite when you call to place your order in, once you arrive and you mention your here for pick up and and ask what I had order and tell you no one receive your call and recall taking your order. After reordering your order with an attitude they give you the wrong order and argue with you about what you have order.

This the best Mexican restaurant in reseda. I’ve eaten here a few times and must say everything I’ve ordered has been delicious. Today I had the machaca with egg. It was delicious a little bit on the well done side, but still has a good flavor.

One of the best mexican food ive tried in the valley. I personally love their asada tacos and burritos. Their salsa is amazing and i crave it all the time. Also their spicy sauce on top of the tacos/burritos is amazing. The price is generous compared to the portion. I can barely finish my burrito when I order it. The workers are super friendly and nice especially the owner Sergio. Would definitely come here again if im in the area.

Legit Mexican food with generous portions! I have lived in the West Valley all my life and I have never been through this little plaza on Wilbur & Sherman Way. Rio Grande is hidden in a little corner and keeps it real with a simple ‘mom’s kitchen’ feel. The menu focuses on some great Mexican specialities, rather than your typical taco place who serves your standard tacos and burritos, and the hurarache de asada will change your life!!! My dad comes here for lunch all the time and recommended I order it and I was not disappointed. The plates goes for $ 8.95 and you are definitely getting your money’s worth in asada, avocado, and a lot of other deliciousness. I couldn’t eat the whole thing in one sitting because of how rich and filling it was. I especially loved the salsa they use which brings some heat and I love that. They also have a bomb housemade horchata that is wayyy better than the powdery stuff. They also make their own tortilla chips! Only con? CASHONLY. But the trip to the ATM is worth it, and if you dine in there’s beer!

I had stopped in at Rio Grande not to long ago and picked up a asada burrito to go, and it was pretty good, so I thought I would stop in for lunch. First of all, I didn’t get what I ordered for lunch, so i guess maybe they just didn’t understand English very well, but who orders multiple combo dinners for one person? I tried the chile rojo which tasted like someone accidentally added a cup the lemon juice. Not good at all and the beans and rice were just so so, below average for a authentic Mexican restaurant. I also ordered 2 hard shell tacos on the side and received 3 with more beans and rice. Not the best tacos at all. Chips were homemade but overlooked and the salsa was bland, except for the occasional piece of jalapeño. I would not recommend this place at all, but I’m giving it two stars for the burrito I had last week. Still looking for the best taco in the valley.

Decided to give this place a try due to Unilocal reviews. I had a burrito and some tacos from here today. The portion sizes are good & the burrito was big… You get what you pay for because a normal burrito is 5 – 6 $ this one was 7. As far as the menu, the one they have up is completely different than the actual one. If you want a quick Mexican fix then I would give it a shot although I’ll stick to my regular spot.

This place is great. Very friendly, affordable. CASHONLY. My late bother use to come here years ago, I recently started coming and it has been a place I constantly crave. My personal favorite is the asada huarache, it’s amazing! I get mine without the lettuce and I always ask for a side of the red salsa. It usually always hits the spot. My husband loves their menudo. My daughter loves their chips with beans, salsa and cheese on them.

I haven’t been here in a long time. It takes me back to my childhood. What I would always get is a huarache de carnitas but this time I decided to get the huarache de carne asada. To me it is just as good, I love carnitas and carne asada. It depends what I’m craving. I always order mine without onions and cilantro because I’m not a big fan of them. Either way it was delicious. I recommend this place, two thumbs up.

Found this place in Unilocal. Was in the area after a company event the night before and was in need of menudo. Woke up late so by 12 noon, there was no more. chose the shirmp cocktail and a ceviche tostada. Both were very good. Cocktail had plenty of did the tostada. My lady had some tacos. Carnitas were dry. But the pastor had great flavor. definitely recommend if you want some shrimp. Id you want menudo. make sure to get there early…

I have received some comments due to my review. I’m well aware of what the items are supposed to cost. I was charged a different price as we found out on our receipt. We didn’t eat in the restaurant the food was delivered. I understand that other people have had very good experiences… however, this was not the case for us.

There is no better breakfast than a Mexican breakfast! We love coming here, the food is great and economical no $ 40 dollar IHOP over rated breakfast for two. The tacos are good as well as the chilaquiles plate!!! The omelette is very delicious and filling. I love the free chips and salsa along with the menudo. I haven’t explored with other menu items besides what I listed but I am sure they are all good. Make sure to bring cash since that is all they accept also the parking spots as a a bit tiny. Horchata and Jamaica is good if you are a Starbucks or coffee bean fan don’t expect a gourmet coffee from this place but it does the trick traditional instant coffee. Overall great place!

Honestly, the B E S T Mexican food I have had(besides my moms & grandma). I have seen some of the bad reviews. Obviously white people who think tacos come in a hard shell. This is authentic mexican food. Salsa and Chips are even great. The only down side is that it take a while to get our order but that is because they make everything FRESH. SOPES are my go to and the tortas are as good as it gets. Closest I have had to tortas from mexico.

I’ve read some of the low rating comments on this restaurant and all I have to say is: If you want AUTHENTIC mexican food, cooked with lard and authentic seasoning, then this is the place and you will taste it at first bite. How anyone could suggest anything this place serves is «Underseasoned» or «tasteless» is beyond me. Then I looked at some of the restaurants for which they gave 5 stars and the list includes: Baja Fresh and Wahoo’s Fish Tacos. If that’s what you like, this isn’t the place for you. Let’s put it this way. My friends from Mexico love this place. And they know their food.
