RIP OFF!!! Here’s why:

Distance: 3.0 Miles
Total Amount Paid: $ 200!!!
If you plan to tow your vehicle for a longer distance and it is bigger than a scooter, EXPECT TO PAY MORE THAN I DID!
I asked the tow operator why it cost so much and he said it’s a «labor charge», just like stated in all the other reviews here. Even though it is just a SCOOTER and I drove it up the ramp by myself. He just tied it down and drove it no more than 5 miles!!! The fact that justifies a $ 150+ labor charge is criminal. I would have saved more money riding it on the flat tire it had to the location. BEWARE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Don’t use this service!
I needed a towing due to a brake problem. Called them and asked upfront what the total price would be. They told me 145 USD. When they arrived, they charged an extra 285 USD «labor charge». They made me pay 468 USD for a simple help. When I complained with the company (they run under several names, really obscure practice), the manager (David) was really rude and unprofessional. Unless you want to pay triple the market price and have no information on the fees they will charge you upfront, I wouldn’t recommend them.
The only good part: The towing operator (Samuel) was really nice. He is not to blame for the bad company practice of taking advantage of their customers by adding extra fees.
Bad company, don’t go there.

I wish I saw these reviews before I called. I spoke to Bob, a manager, who said that the jump would be $ 49 or more depending. I asked depending on what and he said depending on whatever the technician decides. I ask to speak to technician and he offered to give me the radio frequency to find him… he then said that we’re wasting each other’s time and hung up. I called back, asked for the owner’s name and he said he died this morning. he sounded drunk and said he can drink as much as he wants because he’s «not operating heavy machinery».
worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Called them and asked, «How much do you charge for a jump, I’m 2 miles away.»
They said, «A service call is 49.95 (or thereabouts).»
When the guy came, it was a third party apparently affiliated with them, and he started hedging immediately saying that if the battery was dead for a few hours, it might not work –which is carp, and ment I’ll ones I had worked as a mechanic for awhile. The car started up fine, then the bill… the 50ish dollars for the service call, an unmentioned 35 for ‘rush service’s which I never asked for, and 65! for the jump. Basically $ 150 for a jump 2 miles away?!
These guys are crooks.

THIS PLACE WAS HORRIBLE!!! PLEASE, NEVER EVER CALL THIS PLACE EVER. They will rip you off and charge you upwards of $ 200. Seriously, this place is a joke, and no one should ever call this place for any service they need. I hope they go out of business soon and stop stealing people’s money. They charged me a ridiculous amount of money for some quick help. SERIOUSLY NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! If I could write several hundred more Unilocal reviews I honestly would.

We broke down in El Segundo and did a quick search for the closest towing service, the search results said «El Segundo Towing». We were quoted a price of $ 65.00 for the hookup and $ 5.00/mile (5 mi. minimum); not too bad, we only needed to tow it 1.1 miles. The total would have been $ 90.00, add a $ 20.00 tip and at most it would be $ 110.00
An hour later a guys shows up in a «Green Towing» truck and says that it’s going to be «a little bit more» for the SUV (the smallest 2-​door Ford Explorer). Fine, «a little more» is OK, I’m tired and I want to get home. He gets it all loaded and we get in the cab and he says, «just to be clear, we’re talking $ 165.00». Fine! get us to our mechanic and we’ll call it a day. We get there, he calls dispatch and argues with them that he has to give me a deal because I waited over an hour, he’ll take the hit (my car is still in the air). Somehow the new total, with the break from the driver, is now $ 230.00! WTF!
The guy was nice enough but I felt like I got mugged. $ 230.00 for a local tow truck to pull me less than 1.1 miles!!!
Warning to all! Green towing is not local and they never honor their quote!

My boyfriend’s car alarm kept going off and the car wouldn’t start. I called Green Towing and asked if they towed cars from an underground parking lot. They said yes and sent over a tow guy. The dispatcher quoted me $ 85 for the tow truck to come out. The tow truck driver was rude. He towed our car to the dealer. While my boyfriend and I were in the tow truck en route to the dealer we were subjected to his racist comments. It was the most uncomfortable situation. Once we arrived at the dealer the tow truck driver calls his boss to ask «how much should I charge the girl?» He hangs up the phone and tells me my total is $ 290. I was appauled at the price because I wasn’t expecting to spend more than $ 100 given what the dispatcher had told me. At no point did the tow truck driver nor the dispatcher inform me of there being an additional cost because of underground towing. I asked the tow truck driver why it was so much when I was quoted $ 85. He said it was $ 85, plus $ 6 for each mile my car was being towed. APPARENTLY, the underground towing fee is $ 175. That would have been nice to know when I made the call. I told him he only drove less than 3 miles. He told me there was a 5 mile minimum. I contested the charges with the tow truck driver. He said the best he could do was knock off the mileage fees and just say he didn’t tow my car. That was of no consolation to me. I felt so frustrated because I had no choice but to pay the inflated fee. I called the main number to put in a complaint. The head dispatcher told me both the tow truck driver and I were to blame for the incident. I told him I wanted to place a complaint against the tow truck driver for his unprofessionalism and racist comments. I also wanted to have some of my money reimburesed for those hidden charges, someone should have told me about at the beginning. The head dispatcher said he would have the owner or the tow truck driver call me back. Now why would I need to talk to the tow truck driver. I have yet to receive a call back from the owner, as he stated would happen. This company takes advantage of people in need. As the consumer I am not supposed to know what questions to ask. If I inform them of my situation they are supposed to tell me if there are any additional fees so I can decide if I want to use their services or keep calling around. If I don’t hear back from the owner by the end of the week with a solution that’s to my satisfaction they will be hearing from my attorney!
