Mauricio’s shop is the best shop around when it comes to any Japanese vehicle (Lexus, Toyota, Nissan, etc) Great mechanics. There is no way you can find better pricing on engine work, brakes, suspension or anything mechanical for that matter. I have a 2007 Lexus RX 350 and since finding Nippon Automotive Lexus of woodland Hills or Keyes Lexus have completely lost my business. Shuttle service too.

We are a family with 5 cars at home. Most of them under warranty, however we prefer to bring our cars to Mauricio for routine and general checkups.
This team is extremely dedicated and focused on doing a good job. They are always on time and let us know if they find anything out of the ordinary or a potential issue with the car. They call and coordinate if needed.
They make sure to ask you if you need or want original/​dealer parts, and let you know if re-​manufactured parts are trustworthy and reliable for the specific case.

Nothing but great things to say about these folks, from the beginning of my experience to the end. Needed a bit of an emergency diagnosis on my aging sedan this week. Drove to that whole strip of auto shops on Reseda Blvd. and picked Z Technics first. The guy said he was booked for like a week straight. Hopped back in my car and cruised Unilocal for a bit more.
Found Nippon, saw the consistently stellar reviews (not just on Unilocal) and called. «When do you want to come in?» «Uh, I’m pretty much sitting outside your shop. Can do you now?» «Let me take a look outside and see how we’re doing… *shuffling* HEY, WE GOT A GUY WHO NEEDS TO COME IN NOW. WILL THAT WORK? … can you do an hour from now?» «Yeah totally» «Awesome see you then!» So that flexibility was promising.
So I come in, receptionist is super nice to me right off the bat, remembers me, tells me to have a seat, scrambles around turning on the AC for me and offering a cold bottle of water. I help myself to a snack sitting there for guests. This place has the vibe of a real family shop which is going extinct. Lots of letters of testimonials from devout customers, a separate poster dedicated just to people’s first visit, with their mileage, and then another visit like 10 years later where they’ve put another 150,000 miles on their car… really earnest stuff.
Maybe 20 minutes pass and Mauricio comes out and explains to me very simply what the error code I was getting meant, and says he doesn’t repair transmissions, he only replaces them entirely. So, I was sad that he couldn’t help me, but then he doesn’t hesitate to give me the card for Leon’s Transmission, says they’re good dudes who’ll take care of me. That’s where my story picks up after this place. But, he didn’t charge me anything! Everyone treated me really decent… if it weren’t time for me to replace my car ultimately you can bet that they’ve earned another devout customer! Bravo.

Mauricio has been my dad’s mechanic for years. I’m very thankful that I finally took my dad’s advice and came here. It’s been about 3 years and 50,000 or more miles and my car is still running great. My car is over 11 years old now, but Mauricio has literally extended the life of it. He only suggests things that are necessary to fix and he offers the best quality parts for a fair price.
I initially came here because of a bad experience at an oil change location. I went in a few times and each time they suggested little things to fix, but the last time was so different. They told me there were about $ 2,000 of things that «had to be done or else». When I asked to wait a bit so I could save a little money or think about it, they said I should open up a credit card with them. Well needless to say, I never went back (:
I went to Mauricio because of being tired of other mechanics always suggesting random things to fix that were perfectly fine. Mauricio is very fair and honest. If there is something to fix, he lets you know how urgent. He doesn’t make you feel pressured to fix things. He lets you know all of the facts too.
And Norma! She is so nice and a great compliment to the shop.
When I come in to Nippon, I’m confident that the best service and prices are being offered. There is never any doubt or uneasiness about coming in. I look forward to coming in and seeing these wonderful people!
