Business Owner

Dr. Yee graduated in 1990 from the UCLA School of Dentistry with a specialty in Pediatric Dentistry.

In private practice for more than 20 years in the San Fernando Valley, Dr. Yee has been dedicated to the care and treatment of thousands of children’s dental health.

In 2006 he expanded his practice to Ventura County with a completely renovated new office in Moorpark.

Dr. Yee is also currently a faculty member of the UCLA School of Dentistry and has been teaching Pediatric Dentistry to the future generation of pediatric dentists since 1990.

Dr. Yee is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the California Society of Pediatric Dentists.

My entire family (siblings and cousins) have been going to Dr. Yee for over 20 years. I highly recommend him to anyone of any age. He does take adult patients as well. The office has a family feel and most of the staff has been with him for years. It’s refreshing to see the same faces year after year.

Dr. Yee and his staff are truly excellent and compassionate dental care providers.
— Each visit begins and ends with such ease. We are greeted cheerfully and sent-​off with a warm good-​bye until the next visit. Laurel is so lovely and knowledgeable.
— There is rarely ever a wait time, but I know my son probably wishes there was so he could spend more time playing in the play area.
— They take time to get to know their patients during the short amount of time spent there, while also having addressed any questions we may have had.
— They share fun facts about dental hygiene during each visit, which reinforces the healthy habits we are trying to nurture in my son. Success!
— They validate parking! The validation applies to the Reseda office. There was no need for parking validation when my family started with them at their Moorpark facility.
— My son always goes home with a brand new, fun toothbrush along with some other goodies.
My husband and I trust them with treating my son — so much so that, even after moving, we make the drive out there.

Our little guy decided to jump off our ottoman and ended up smacking his mouth on the hardwood floor. Besides a busted lip both his front teeth were loose and we were freaking out. My son loved the waiting room and had a great time playing legos. Dr. Yee and his staff were perfectly professional. They were great with our 2 year old and made him feel as comfortable as possible. Turns out he’ll be fine. Thanks Dr. Yee for the piece of mind!

This is by far, the VERY BEST dental clinic I have ever been to in my entire life, hands down. Dr. Yee has the ability to make any kids fears disappear. He’s so genuine, so gentle, very well mannered, compassionate, very professional, smart and never ever fails to give her tiny patients a sweet smile… and the the staff??? – they’re like angels! Soo utterly nice, welcoming, sincere, warm, friendly, patient and competent. Everything is just — MAGICAL! They are amazingly great with kids to the point that my 5 year old daughter says– I had soo much fun in there Mom!!! «I can’t wait to go back!» It’s like stepping out from Disneyland!

We love Dr. Yee! I was referred to Dr. Yee when our children needed care at 2 and 3 years old by Dr. James Kodama, who is an excellent dentist in the same building (see my Unilocal review!) but who does not specialize in treating young children. Dr. Yee and his staff were amazing with my little ones. Both of my youngest children, one boy the other a girl, had a tooth filled by Dr. Yee at different times. Neither had a moment of trepidation or pain. 100% positive experience, no tears, ZERO drama!
The office jungle theme is fun and inviting for littles and no scare tactics or pressure on parents to schedule a bunch of unnecessary follow up appointments to rack up big bills like some pediatric dentists I’ve heard about!
I’m writing this review because I think it’s so important that your child’s first experiences with dentists be positive. If a child is traumatized, they may not seek care when they need it later in life. With Dr. Yee and his staff you’re in good hands. My children actually asked when they could go back! Not even kidding. The thing they remembered most about their dentist experience was choosing a prize from the prize cabinet! So yes, of course, I highly recommended Dr. Yee!

We love Dr. Yee and staff (particularly Laurel). Our son had to go to the dentist before the age of one for a brown spot on his tooth. Dr. Yee and I held him together in a private room and ever so gently, Dr. Yee examined him. We have been back annually for cleanings and more recently, a chipped tooth. Our son does not have any fear of the dentist, because of the exceptional care they provide.
From the moment you walk in, kids feel at home. There is a nifty little set up with legos and other play items in the waiting room. In the back is a private exam room with toys for distraction. The bigger room has a few monitors playing interesting kid movies that totally distracted my son when his tooth was being repaired. Because he is so little, they even have a miniature dental chair!
Staff who perform the cleanings show my child every tool before it is put near his mouth and let him touch and examine them.
In an emergency, Dr. Yee has called us on the weekend and before the office opened the next day, we had an appointment.
Recently we switched medical providers and when I investigated the dentist they were sending us to we decided to stay with Dr. Yee regardless of cost. No way am I going to leave this wonderful, caring environment! As far as Laurel is concerned, she has investigated every possible route for us in terms of insurance without a question. I know I can call with any question and she will answer, or research an answer quickly.

I can’t believe it’s been over 5 years that we have been Dr Yee’s patients. If we could give 10 stars we would! The kids are so well taken care of, never have anxiety to see the dentist — and his staff is beyond accommodating to our crazy schedules.

My Daughter is a new patient here, and so far, I am impressed. We were referred here by friends. The first time I called, Laurel was extremely helpful and reassuring. We have terrible dental insurance and Dr. Yee’s office does not accept the HMO plan. However, I was so impressed with them that I decided just to pay cash.
They were able to see my Daughter on short notice for tooth pain and did not try to over treat her on that visit or «up sell» any additional treatment. Dr. Yee and his entire staff are kind, helpful and professional.
The office is decorated in a safari theme which is very cute for the kids and they enjoy the play area and other decorations.
When we came in for my Daughter’s filling, they were prompt, polite and very good with her. I will definitely recommend them to family and friends!

I’ve been taking my kids here for a few years now. I actually found Dr. Yee in the free monthly parenting magazine they pass out all over town. He is a great dentist and my kids adore him and his staff.
Right when you walk into his office you are transported into a jungle themed waiting room with plenty of magazines, play area which is getting revamped soon) and tv with Wii system. The receptionist is super friendly and there are TVs around the office playing the latest animated flick on DVD which keep my kids happy and in their chairs. Dr. Yee and his crew are very caring, informative and most importantly-​PATIENT. My children have never complained of any pain and we’ve never had to wait for longer than 3 minutes for our appointment. At the end of the cleanings/​procedures the kids get a free cool toothbrush, some floss, and they get to visit the cabinet of treasure which is always a highlight. I wish my dentist handed out goodies like these.

I have been going to Dr. Yee’s office since I was 3 and now I am 18 and still going and love it. Every one is very friendly and helpful. They always try to help you and answer any questions you have. They have T. Vs in the back to keep us entertained while they are working on you. They also have a front waiting room for the parents while you are in the back or you can have them go in the back and watch you get your teeth cleaned. All the girls and doctors want to make your teeth look good and they will explain everything that they are doing to your teeth so that you will know whats going on. Also for the patients they have stickers, sticky hands, rings, pencils, and other things that you can pick after your appointment. I love going to Dr. Yee’s office after all the work they did my teeth look good ad are healthy.

My two sons have been going to Dr. Yee for three years now. Every six months when it’s time for their cleanings, my boys actually get excited to go. In addition to the staff being extremely friendly-​and on a consistant basis-​the environment is perfect for children. My boys get little toys, stickers and a firefly toothbrush EVERY time. Not to mention how an animated movie is always playing. Makes me wish I was a kid again!

To show how much we like Dr. Yee, you should know we live in Santa Monica and have been driving over the hill into the Valley to see Dr. Yee for nearly 10 years. My daughter immediately took to Dr. Yee when she was a toddler, and we’ve never considered anyone else. Dr. Yee’s staff is also exceptional, helpful and professional. We really like Laurel, who is consistenly friendly, informative and goes out of her way to provide great service. Those of you who live in the Valley should consider yourselves lucky because Dr. Yee and his office is much closer and easier to you.
