My floors were done in 20 hours 100% satisfied customer, Atif and Ali thank you for helping us with our home looks amazing. So after all the endless positive 5 stars I thought I couldn’t possibly go wrong with this company. I used them about a year ago and just like another customer, Ali have me a quote on the contract but on the day of the contract showed up and stated that his original quote did not have the sideboards! Simple solution just add on 450 $. I thought well it happens and looked the other day!
However it’s been a year after they completed the work. Every time I walk on the laminate floors. I hear cracking, and noises. I told myself initially its brand new placement, will take a while for it to solidify. 1 year later my neighbor below says every time I walk it makes a noise. Very unhappy with the quality.

First of all– I’ve been working with Ali for many years. He has been a godsend as I have several properties to maintain. He has always given me all the options – high and low. He has always been fair with the «what if’s», as MANY uncertainties can occur during work on a property. The sales team are people too-​they also need to make a living. Hardwood Experts offer an excellent value at an excellent price with amazing service.period.
The crews have schedules too – everything is in a window, but Ali has done his best on each of my projects to make sure the work gets done when scheduled and on time.

I and my husband don’t like the sales manager who is called Ali! During the 4.5 days flooring job, he was trying to ask 3 times additional $$$$$!!!
1. 1^st day: Ali told us the second floor Vinyl removal needed to charge $ 100. Isn’t it his responsibility to check all the floors if there is vinyl or not when he came to my house and gave me the estimate? Before we signed the contract, he told me Vinyl removal is free, now he started to charge every little single thing!!!
2. 2^nd day: Ali said if we wanted to make the stairway perpendicular, we should pay another $ 450! Cause the side of the stair way looks like 77 777, and not straight down. He saw everything when he came for the estimate. Why he didn’t tell me ahead? So ridiculous!
3. 3d day: Ali told us there was moisture on the cement in the first floor, so they had to charge 1.75 $/​sq ft! The market average price is only 1.00 $ for that! They asked $ 1200 for the moisture problem which the material is only $ 450!!!
4. Before we signed the contract, Ali would like to offer cheaper wood material, free this, free that… But after the moment we signed the contract and paid $ 1000 deposit, he hanged my and my husband phone calls many times and changed to another face!
5. With his more than 10 years working experience, he should know everything ahead… And should not charge double or triple during the flooring job! He told us 15,250 $ from the estimate! But he added up everything to $ 17,000!!! Cause they know the customers had low chances to back out!
6. The first day, Ali told us all the crew would arrive my house 9:00 — 10:00am, I and my husband waited until 11:00am, and no one showed, so my husband left for some other things… Then Ali came around noon and yelling at me and yelling to my husband on the phone why we didn’t get his check ready! We can’t wait for him forever!!!
7. I and my husband offered all the flooring guys lunch and drinks every day and very nice to them and also gave them good tips in the last day! But from the conversation with the hardwood expert company, they didn’t appreciate how we treat their flooring guys… Of cause we tipped the good people who work hard for us, not the one kept asking for money $$$$$!!!
8. I and my husband really don’t like the game they play with us., gave us a low ball price and got us in, and then asked for $$$$$ for little single thing! And we also felt very disappointed with the sales manager’s attitude! I think the boss from hardwood export needs to educate their employees how to treat their customers right way!!!
9. Horrible experience before our wedding (same week), felt disappointed with their way how to treat their customers! My aunt and parents’ houses need flooring job too, and they are getting estimate from all wood floor companies now. Of course, I won’t recommend hardwood expert! They took our money and didn’t know how to respect the house owners!

UGH!!! It would be great if you guys UPDATED your Unilocal page with the new address!!! SO PISSED OFF!

Looks good and the price is unbeatable, but so much collateral damage (example pictured). The installers are experts at cutting/​laying down the floor, but not prepared for everything else. Lose another star for not showing up two days.

These guys have done my house and my fathers house and to me they are great. Reasonable prices and their workers are quick and professional. They will do my kitchen soon.

Sorry for Tammi and Breana’s reviews, however. I had a great experience with this company. The installers Eligio and Rene were very professional. They finished ahead of schedule and were very kind. They explained the process every step of the way. They installed dark engineered wood floors, which came out beautifully. I highly recommend them. They also came in cheaper than Lumber Liquidators.

I wish I could put zero stars. Terrible. Terrible Terrible. We used them to sand down the original floors in our house and stain them dark walnut. It has been about 9 months and they have scratches EVERYWHERE and we are not «rough» with them, we don’t own a big dog, have a child or use anything on them and if you barely touch them it leaves a scratch. Not only that but we needed a couple touch ups after our contractor was done with the house and their «touch ups» are a totally different color and look worse than they were before they started. My husband called to complain and see what we could do to fix them and the owner HUNG UP on him and will not return our calls. They are the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with and we just remodeled our entire him. Now the floors are not only 2 colors (due to their touch ups), scratches everywhere (they sealed them badly) but now they are peeling everywhere! My home is beautiful but this is the one part (and a huge part might I add) that I am so disappointed in. Every time I look at them I get upset so I finally wanted to take the time to write a review. I am appalled that they have 5 stars– trust me use someone else!

Just bought a new house and wanted carpet replaced with hardwood flooring and baseboards throughout. Called a few places to get quotes. Got a good vibe from Hardwood Experts (plus they had rave reviews on Unilocal). Their pricing was very competitive and they were able to get the exact flooring brand I wanted (Urban Floor). The product is great and the installation was perfect. They finished 1200 sqft in about 2.5 days and cleaned up everything afterward. I’m pretty picky about contractors but honestly could not find anything to complain about with these guys. These guys are legit! Thanks so much Alon, I get complements all the time about our flooring.

The Sale Representative was great and charming. I rated 3 Stars because of the installer name Luis. He’s very unprofessional. He was suppose to arrive between 9−10am on Saturday to start my flooring project. He didn’t arrive till 12:36 pm with two other Installers. Luis had a negative attitude since the moment he arrived. I felt like I was disturbing his weekend or something.
In the end he stated he doesn’t know how to float solid, hardwood floor on concrete. I canceled the service, afterwards. Days later I found a crumpled up receipt in my garage, where he parked his van… turns out to be Luis and his crew was having lunch at El Pollo Loco at 10:53 am. His name was on the receipt. Yet, he lied to the Sale Rep and said he’s at the warehouse, picking up supplies.
Make sure you ask who your Installer is… if it’s Luis, demand another Installer immediately. He reminds me of an ex-​gang member without a license in installing floors. I also complained to the owner but I doubt he’ll say anything to Luis. Probably due to cheap labor, for a guy without a license.

My wife and I had been looking for wood laminate for around a year. However, we grew tired of all the flooring retailers and their large markup as middlemen and order takers. The price was just higher than we wanted to pay for about 1100 sq feet, to cover our downstairs. Fast forward a year, I get a monthly home improvement circular magazine in the mail. For whatever reason my attention is drawn to Hardwood Experts color ad. I decide to call them… leave my name and number and yada yada… I forgot about it. The next day, Joey, from Hardwood Experts calls me and asks if he can come by. I say OK, and what do you know, the guy is at my house two hours later. I explain to him what we want and even show him a sample that we had gotten. Joey measures out the area of our home, that we want done, does some quick math and Walla, the guy just beat the best price we had by over $ 1,000! Joey is very professional and offers up some advise on how to best deliver what we want. He even comes back two days later to brings us an exact sample of the wood laminate flooring, which we wanted for the house. I’m a little wary (its my nature) as I write a check for 10% of the job. He asks us when we want the installation, we arrive at a date, shakes our hands and he leaves.
What do ya know, on the date we arranged to have the installation Juan and Andres show up at our house and begin the work. Surprisingly, the guys also are professional and very well seasoned at their craft. Two days and a couple pizzas later (buy them lunch and they will do anything for you) the guys finish. Holly Smokes the new wood laminate looks FANTASTIC, I mean like real wood! My wife and I are in shock over how great and improved our downstairs looks. Why didn’t we do this sooner we ask ourselves? The reason… we never knew about Hardwood Experts until now! These guys are great. They are not middle… I mean markup men. They do the job A to Z and provide a service that is only outdone by their ability to price the job right.
Thank you to Joey, Juan, Andres and Hardwood Experts for accomplishing what we had really wanted for some time, however, were unable to find it until now. A wonderful job at a very reasonable price by a local company that we could put our trust in!

Alon at Hardwood Experts was the third vendor I had called for a quote on floors, and I saved the best for last. He didn’t give me the «salesman» pitch that I had experienced with the other vendors, he was straightforward with pricing and even beat the lowest estimate that I had. I told Alon about a specific laminate that I wanted, and he was able to get what I wanted at a great price.
His communication was great, he was always available for questions, he showed up to my house on the first day of installation to make sure everything was looking the way it should be.
My house looks amazing now! I couldn’t be happier.

Dealing with contractors is never fun. Dealing with «sales» people from a contracting company is horrible. We were dreading the process of getting new floors… where to shop… who to use to install… how will it turn out? Who to trust?.
We got a flyer and thought what the heck? BEST CALL I MADE!
Ali kept the time commitment. Didn’t try and «sell» us on anything, just showed us what he had based on the color and style and budget. He measured and gave us a quote and let us decide… was not a hard sell. Brought us some bigger samples, let us keep them for a few days to see at night, during the day, different rooms etc.
The install crew was amazing. Roberto and Rodrigo – you guys rock! These guys were the ultimate professionals. Kept things clean, their attention to detail was incredible. From the minute they walked in, until they cleaned up on their last day. They even washed down the sidewalk that had sawdust on it after working a long day before they left for the last time– most guys are just trying to get out.
We got our stairs done for the first time from carpet and we were worried… these guys made our simple house look like a show house… I’ll say it again and again, their attention to detail was amazing!
Ali checked in and stopped by just to check in, very professional!
Honestly, I knew about what things cost, and I didn’t even get a second quote after dealing with him, I knew the price was competitive but more importantly, he was someone I knew I could work with. He NEVER made me second guess my choice.
I could go on and on, but why… they were the right choice!

Called these guys to get some free advice after another installer did a terrible job on my new hardwood floors. Knowing that I would not be bringing any business to these guys (since the plan was to get the original guys to fix the job) Joey at Hardwood Experts returned my call anyway and answered all my questions, helping me figure out the best way to get my problem resolved with the other guys. We talked on the phone for at least 20 minutes. Joey was great, selfless, helpful, and informative. He also offered to come out and take a look in person at no charge– again, even though I was upfront stating that I was slogging through getting it resolved with the original guys. Five Stars for a generous disposition, great attitude, and willingness to help someone in need!!!

Dear Hardwood Experts,
Thank you again for restoring the hardwood floor at my company office. After my company had its 20^th Anniversary Party directly on site, our hardwood floor experienced some damages (deep scratches, liquid and food stains, and normal wear and tear). To say the least, the hardwood floor in the «Eagles Nest» was completely worn down and it severely needed a lift to restore its beauty.
After doing some quick research on other hardwood floor companies, I found that yours had the best availability and pricing. I called Monday morning to schedule a free consultation and within a few hours Ali Kouhen (Regional Project Manager) was at my location promptly. He was direct, precise, and very transparent about the services that would and can be offered. Although I needed about 700 square feet of floor to be finished and completed before the following Monday (less than a week), Ali was more than willing to work my company’s schedule to avoid any loss in company time. His crew came Saturday and Sunday and by Monday morning the floor was brand new! After having the floor sanded, buffed and varnished, several of our employees were surprised that we had two different types of flooring before (picture attached). Since having the floor redone, I have heard nothing but compliments on the quality of work and appearance of the hardwood. The owner of EagleRider directly commented, «The floor looks better than when we first installed it!»
I recommend Hardwood Floor to any person searching the Los Angeles market. Unlike other companies I tried contacting; Hardwood Experts answered their phone promptly, scheduled an appointment efficiently and in a more than timely manner, and were easy to work with. Whenever I had a question or concern, Ali was quick to respond back to my phone calls. I appreciate the promptness and customer service that I received.

This is the letter I sent to Hardwood Experts after they finished installing laminate flooring into my three bedroom home:
Dear Hardwood Experts:
I am writing this letter to express how pleased I was with the work you recently completed at my home. From start to finish the experience was easy and the results were wonderful. Your representative, Ali, was awesome in every phase and in all regards. Every promise was kept, the work was accomplished promptly and professionally, and our new floors are simply awesome.
I will wholeheartedly recommend Hardwood Experts to all my friends and neighbors in the market for getting rid of nasty old carpet in favor of the modern miracle that is laminate and hardwood. You are the best. I will never use anyone else. Thank you very much.
Need I say more. If you use anyone else you will not find better.

So after living with white designer carpet for 8 years and enduring two children ruining it with spills, accidents, and extreme wear and tear, I needed to replace it but at $ 7000 it was not only expensive but high maintenance. Shopping around proved even worse as it seemed all the carpet I liked was ridiculously expensive. So enter Hardwood Experts…
Scenario: I had a ton of hosting planned during Christmas and had a million disgusting stains on my white designer carpet that had previously been cleaned, steamed, cleaned, and steamed with no improvement… Not looking good 3 days before Christmas.
Spoke to Anna on the phone and she could sense my frustration of shopping around, but instead of giving me crap back, she somehow got me to relax and assured me she’d take care of everything. Ali shows up at my door with a trainee… I tried to slam the door in his face so he sent the trainee to his car and again assured me everything was going to be great!
He took the measurements, suggested a certain color, steered me to the correct material (laminate due to our kids and the clean up factor) but assured me it looked like hardwood flooring and had a 25 year warranty… blah blah blah. He brought samples… Wow, 12 mm laminate that actually looked like hardwood and in the color shades I wanted…
I told him, «This is how much I can afford including install and tax and need it installed before Christmas (in 2 days). Oh yeah, and I’m not giving you anything until the work is done and if I don’t like it, I’m not paying…» Ali said, «I just quoted you $ 500 under your price, I’ll have it installed before Christmas, we’ll move all the furniture and replace it after we’re done, and if you don’t like it don’t pay me a penny and keep the flooring.» Me, «Huh? Ok, deal.»
The next day Manual and his team are knocking on my door at 7am, have all the furniture out by 9am, flooring complete the next day 2pm, furniture replaced by 3pm… They did the 2 floors, 4 bedrooms, and all the closets… I told him I didn’t want the closets, Manual said, «Ali told me you’d say that… but it’s included.» Me, «WTH?» We had new floors the day before Christmas as promised with time to spare… Unbelievable…Beautiful…just jaw dropping gorgeous!
The flooring in my 2300sqft home was more than $ 1500 cheaper than regular carpet… I kid you not. Unbelievable.
I cannot recommend Hardwood Experts enough… Anna to Ali to Manual. My testimony is on their website… These guys are the real deal. PERIOD. I’ve had so many compliments on the floors it’s unreal. Everyone thinks they’re hardwood, you cannot tell the difference… It’s unbelievable.
