I brought my Nissan Quest to them per Statefarm recommendation. My car had been rear ended and it was 100% the other person’s fault so I was not using my own insurance. At the time, I decided to also pay to get another panel in my car fixed out of pocket (hit and run on me).
The car rental at Hertz (across the street from them) had screwed up and when I returned the car, they lost all of the insurance information. Onita (not sure of spelling, sorry… their very helpful receptionist) took the time to call Hertz shop and HERTZ Corporate, to set all the information right. Out of her way to do this, and I really appreciated her help since the Hertz location was just going to wait and hold my credit card for 4 or so days (which I was super annoyed about).
After a week, I came back and they had forgotten to do the extra work. When they realized their mistake, they offered me a car to use while they fixed the missed area. They also stayed open to adjusted to my work hours.
The work they did was fine but it was the service that made them stand out.

GARY IS GREAT!!! All his staff, from the day I dropped off until finished I received excellent customer service but overall, my car looks great!

I wish to share with you my experience over at Folks auto body, it’s unbelievable how they did the best to make is easy ! For real, thank u very much for all the services, I actually receive a phone call at 8 PM to let me know they finish and I could pick up my car. God bless you thank you very much for everything

Gary was very nice but their work sucks, the painted my rear bumper, 2 days after I picked up car the bumper fell off while I was driving I called them a number of times but never got a call back, very dissatisfied

Bring your car to Folks, you will not regret it!!! First of all I was a difficult customer because I recently moved here and my insurance was still under my parents who still live in the Midwest. Not only were they accommodating, they were the nicest and most helpful people I have ever experienced in a business. Then if that wasn’t enough they went above and beyond in fixing my car. It looked practically new! And gave me a life time guarantee on the paint job. A few weeks later I had some issues with my car starting and they let me bring my car in the same day, verified it was just the battery, told me they could install a new one if I needed, and did not charge me. These are amazing, hardworking, genuine people that will not skimp on service! They will follow through, by far my best experience with a car shop. Go to Folks!!!

Stopped at BMW and spoke with David Lin to have my X6 appraised.
After appraisal came back I discussed small damage On my front driver side bumper and David was kind enough to refer me and personally go with me from Beverly Hills BMW to Folks Auto Body in Reseda, CA. We met with Gary the owner who discussed options moving forward and after I decided to think about everything we discussed, owner Gary offered to take care of what he could right away to at least get most of scratches out. I was amazed at the level of customer service both David and Gary gave me and appreciate the time they took to help me. I will definitely be back to Folks Auto Body and refer anyone who is looking for an honest Auto Body Shop to go and see Gary! Thank you David And Gary!!!

This body shop is a life saver.
Last night I walked to my car that suffered an act of vandalism. Poor thing had scratch all over, back window and the back light were broken and license plate was ripped off… Disaster So my friend recommended me this place. Guys took the best care of me, fixed everything in the nicest way! They even fixed the scratches I had on my bumper before for no additional charge!!! Thank you so much Gary! This guys did amazing job and was so nice and sweet. I hope I will have no need to come back but definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Gary is amazing. This is hands down the best auto body shop I’ve ever used. Gary worked with me and saved my wife’s car after I was in the middle of a four car collision on the 101. The car wouldn’t even start, now it looks better than before the accident. Gary is a miracle worker, working with me and my insurance to keep my wife’s car from being totaled. I can’t recommend him and his shop more.

I had a damaged rear bumper on my 2014 S550 Mercedes Benz. I took the car in for an estimate on Wednesday before 2:00pm and got a very competitive quote. Gary the owner was great and he said my car would be ready on Monday, latest Tuesday. I decided that I would have them do the repairs and left the car with them. The car was ready around noon the following Monday, including being detailed inside and out :)
I couldn’t be happier. Great service, friendly people and high quality work. The car looks like new.

I can’t say enough good things about Folks Auto Body. Unfortunately, I have been hit a couple of times and have had to take my car in for body work. This last time I was taken care of by Mardek who was just fantastic. Very customer oriented and always kept me apprised of the current situation. My car was in the shop for a total of 4 weeks and when I got it back it looked like it did when I drove it off of the lot 2 years ago. They do FABULOUS work and I would recommend them to anyone! (In fact, I already have!)

My wife took her Toyota Camry in for a new front bumper. The price was great and the work was perfect. Mardik drove my wife to her health club. They were able to do the work in 2 ½ hours. Kudos to Folks Auto Body.

Simply the best, These people have been around for a very long time, that alone speaks volumes. I found them years ago when my Grandmother was in a minor accident and eventually used them on my own vehicle. When you find someone good you want to let others know. While the State Farm agent who helped me was awesome, the receptionist was far from professional.
While I was sitting there waiting to get my estimate, she was taking a call.
She answers the phone and says «hey! What up nigga?»
Mind you, I’m not black but neither is she (which doesn’t really matter) but this was extremely UNPROFESSIONAL! While your employees should feel comfortable at work, they should be conscious of what they say in public and while in the workplace. This is unacceptable, especially In 2015!
She’s young but still not an excuse! I want to feel confident that when I enter a business establishment the employees are respectful and aware of proper decorum while interacting or simply being in the presence of clients/​customers.

When I first arrived at Folks to get an estimate for repairs to my ’01 Yukon after it was seriously damaged in a hit-​and-​run accident, I thought to myself, well, I’ll get the estimate, then take it to a few other places to see where I might be able to get a better deal and maybe have some of the money from the check the insurance company handed me left over.
I had some minor work done on it several years ago at another local shop and they did a good job, and they beat all the other estimates by quite a bit at that time so I thought that I’d just check and see what they could do. All the while I was at this other shop, talking to the owner and estimator, I couldn’t stop thinking back just how professional and friendly Gary was back at Folks compared to what I was experiencing at this other place that I already had positive results from. About half way through their estimate, I had made up my mind to return to Folks and have another talk with Gary, check out some of the work they were performing and see if my first impressions were accurate.
It didn’t take long for me to be convinced. Gary was straight forward, answered all my questions, including helping me with some additional work that I wanted, pointing out that he could do some repairs at no cost that I thought would stretch my budget. He even pointed out 2 items that he suggested be repaired so as to blend in with what work he was estimating for the insurance company. I was sold. PERIOD. No hesitation.
The appointment was set, the vehicle delivered, and as he predicted, it was ready the day he said it was going to be done. When I arrived, I almost didn’t believe it was the same vehicle. I take pride in how my vehicles look, but when I saw the final product, I was blown away. I couldn’t have been happier.
The only glitch was a replacement part that was delivered to him damaged — a driver’s side running board, so to avoid me having to wait another day or two, he actually had the old one repaired to look almost new so I could use the vehicle for work the next day. When I went back to have the newly arrived running board installed, it was done quickly and I was back on the road soon after.
I did find several minor adjustment issues over the course of the following couple of weeks, but I can tell you that when I brought the Yukon in, Gary greeted me like an old friend and after looking at the items, without hesitation asked when I’d like to bring it in to take care of what needed attention, and I could tell he was sincerely happy to do so. Nothing phony with Gary.
I even met some of Gary’s staff, and they are a reflection of him. Friendly, courteous, clean, and eager.
This is the place to take your vehicle. I can’t say enough. If you might be nervous going to a body shop, I can assure you, 2 minutes with Gary and your fears will disappear.
Professional.
Friendly.
Timely.

Insurance company of the guy that rear ended me (State Farm) sent me here. They did a great job at fixing my car. I thought State Farm would declare it totaled, but it ended up not being that bad. They went above and beyond to make my car look like it was brand new. It took about 3 weeks. I think they may have milked the insurance company’s payment, but I don’t mind because my car looks great!
