EyeCon Optometry is truly a dream come true, giving me the opportunity to provide eye health care for my community and hometown of San Fernando Valley. My passion for Optometry blossomed while volunteering for the Mobile Eye Clinic at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute during my undergraduate years at UCLA. Witnessing the joy on each child’s face and their beaming smiles as they receive their first pair of glasses was simply priceless, and from that moment on I knew that this profession was my calling. While attending the Southern California College of Optometry, I completed my clinical internship at the Southwestern EyeCare Center, specializing in ocular disease management. I also completed additional clinical rotations at the VA West Los Angeles, and the Optometric Center of Los Angeles in downtown LA. Further, I am TLG certified, which means that I am certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents to treat eye infections and allergies, and manage glaucoma treatments.

From the moment I walked in I was impressed. Office was nice, technology up to date, they even had a charging station for phones! Dr was super thorough, everyone was nice and super friendly. Definitely glad I found this place!

I’ve had to come back 5+ times: new glasses, prescription wasn’t right, glasses didn’t pass inspection, delay in shipping, oh yeah let’s adjust your old glasses while you wait — oops we broke them while trying to adjust them– let’s get you new temples because we broke it — oops temples are back ordered– just kidding frames don’t come in that color anymore at all– let’s get you new frames in a different color– nope don’t bother bringing the old lenses in cuz we have replaced those as well– oops just kidding we don’t have the lenses come back with your old ones– we can switch out the lenses when new frames come in– oops your lenses won’t fit because THE FRAMES ARE A DIFFERENT COLOR– we are just gonna have to swap out the temples of your old glasses. Now you’ll have black glasses with tortoise shell temples! Oh wait… we’re lazy so we will just swap out ONE temple stem so now you have black glasses and one temple stem is tortoise shell AND fit it with a screw that is too big. By the way, new glasses still aren’t the right prescription. Never coming back. You guys lost a patient and my patience.

Gilmore is his name he was fantastic wonderful customer service work very diligently for me I was kind of hesitant didn’t want to spend a lot of money with my insurance he help me pick out a pair of glasses I like them fly or funky and I wanted to save money he did an excellent and a fantastic customer service job I’m telling you whomever read this you’ll be happy to go there and the doctor top-​notch knew her information ! I found this place thru my insurance carrier and am so glad I picked it! From the get go, on the phone Denise was super friendly, nice and attentive! The place is clean and the staff is so polite! I definitely recommend everyone to try it out! They have a great selection of glasses to pick from! Glad I found this gem!

I took my mother to see Dr. Laura Ha a few weeks ago, and we were very happy with her service and the caring of the whole office. I was so impress that I have made an apt. for myself to see her. I told Dr. Ha that my left eye always feel like something is scratching it, and after the exam she saw what is going on, and gave me the right diagnosed.
I was using waterproof eyeliner and a harsh eye makeup remover for so long and didn’t know it was not good & hurting my eyes at the same time, she explained to me about how infection can get in the eyes and for me to get more natural base eye makeup and prescribed me some eye drop and just a few days from using it, I don’t feel the scratchy in my left eye anymore. I highly recommend Dr. Ha & Eyecon optometry for all the eye exam.
I also bought my reading glass there, I’ve purchased a Toms eyewear, with funding to restore a sight to an individual who in need :)

I dont go to the eye doctor often but when i do its EyeCon! Peter who works the front is very outgoing, nice, friendly and remembers me and my wife by name lol… he helped me find glasses that fit my bobble head. Dr. Ha was also very nice and friendly. She asked several questions to make sure the eye exam went well and that vision gets better and not worse. She also made the visit personal and not like you’re just another customer. Both Peter and Dr. Ha made sure that if we had any concerns to comeback and they would fix any issues we had. One of the best eye doctor visits I’ve ever had. Also just a parking tip that there is free parking in the back

POOR. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
last year my daughter gifted me the cost of new glasses, she had a coupon form EyeCon Optometry. Well even with the saving of the coupon. I found the frame selection limited and locked behind glass cabinet. I am used to LensCrafters, where you can try as many frames as i wanted. and the total cost from EyeCon was much higher then LansCrafters, even after using the coupon.
EyeCon has been sending my e-​mail to visit them and to get new glasses. But I was busy to go. Two nights ago, the left lense came of the frame.
This morning I went to EyeCon to have the reinstall the lense and check on the price of new lens to goon the same frame and the price for preconception sun glasses. When i got to the store, I told the man behind the counter that i need them to reinstall the lens, he talekd to one of the people behind the counter then he told me that it well cost me TEN DOLLARS. I asked why, he said «It will take long time to install it». I told hm it will take less than a minute to put it back in place, and they should do it for free like LenseCrafters. He said it will cost ten dollars, of course I did not ask about the new glasses. I told him he lost a customer, he did not care. While in the store, I pooped the lins back in place in less than 5 seconds! no tools required.
EyeCon is a small pup and Mom store, that they dont value costumer service and repeat business. I learned my lesson, I am back to the great LensCrafters, Topanga Plaza

Dr. Ha and her staff are absolutely fabulous! I found Dr. Ha when I decided I wanted to try Ortho-​K treatment. I consulted with 2 places and opted going with Dr. Ha, at the time my decision was based on how well she treated me as just a potential client. Let me tell you, as a patient of hers now for over 4 months, she has gone above and beyond to take care of me. Though Ortho-​K ended up not being suitable for me, she was always there to answer all my questions via email and I was always welcomed to come in and see her on countless appointments. I am now making the switch to daily contacts — Dr. Ha and her staff have made the transition smooth and comforting. They value their patients and I very much appreciate all they have done and continue to do to make my vision perfect! Thank you EyeCon Optometry!

My fiancé and I went to Eyecon for the first time today. Everyone was so warm and engaging! The office was beautiful and they even have a candy bar!
Angela was wonderful and made us feel so comfortable before we saw Dr.Ha.
Dr. Ha is obviously super intelligent and she knows her stuff. She answered all of our questions and made us feel very much at ease.

I had a routine eye exam and the entire staff was amazing. Guilmer was very knowledgable and helpful. He and the Doctor answered all my questions and helped me pick out a brand new pair of designer glasses. They have a great selection. The office is clean and organized. Overall, a great experience. I would highly recommend this place!

I love this place! The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. They made me feel right at home the moment I walked in. Guilmer was amazing! He was quick and efficient, and did all his work with a huge smile. He did all the preliminary testing before Dr. Ha saw me. She was quick and informative. Gave me all kinda of insight and info on my different options (I want to have LASIK done.) After my exam, Guilmer helped me pick out a fab new pair of Tom Ford lenses. They have a wide selection of designers! Overall a wonderful experience! Thank you Guilmer and Dr. Ha! :)

Absolutely horrible customer service. My prescription was completely inaccurate, the eye exam is completely over priced. I paid 215.00 for an exam that took 5 min. I sat longer in the waiting room (30 min) than talking with the optometrist. When I went back to have the prescription fixed, they wanted to charge me 80! Why in the hell would I pay that? I can actually go to costco and pay 89.00 for a complete exam. I will NEVER return.

I first visited EyeCon 2 years ago with my husband and son, who needed eye exams. They saw Dr. Ha and was given thorough exams and she answered all the questions we had. She was extremely nice, patient and professional.
My little family of 4 returned a couple of weeks ago for check ups and since Dr. Ha no longer works on the weekends, we were seen by Dr. Matsuno. She saw my son first and gave him a thorough exam. She took her time and was very patient with him. She checked and rechecked his sight to make sure the correct prescription was given.
My exam was a bit different. Unfortunately, I also had my 15 month old daughter with me and when my husband stepped out, she decided to go crazy and of course, it was time for my exam. Dr. Matsuno went ahead and did my exam with my crazy, crying daughter on my lap! AND she was very nice about it and worked as best as she could to give me a thorough exam. Awesome!
After I had my eyes checked, she dilated them and I was given some contact lenses to try on while waiting for my eyes to dilate. I then sat with the optician/​frames specialist, Uyen to choose frames. She went case by case, taking the ones that I seemed interested out and we sat down to try them all on until I found the perfect pair. She did the same with my son.
All in all, it was a great experience. They have a great staff and wide selection of designer frames. I will be returning.

I took my wife there like several months ago after she bought a livingsocial «deal». My wife wanted contact lenses and the optometrist didn’t want to give her contacts, actually insisted.
As a business owner myself, It obviously looked she was trying to steer us toward cheap prescription glasses (because we are through livingsocial and there no profit to be made from contact lenses). At the end my wife chose her glasses (within the value of the loving social). However; the girl in the front kept pushing us to buy other expensive brand. My wife told her, I don’t usually buy expensive glasses because I have kids and I’m clumsy they always end up breaking. The girl replied ‘Oh they end up breaking because they’re cheap?’.
After, we went straight to Costco to get her contact lenses. No problem ordered them. Come the following week to pick them up, my wife noticed the glasses are kinda crooked and need adjustment. So we give it to the guy at Costco. While he’s trying to apply heat he noticed that he can’t really adjust it and asked us if we repaired these glasses before. We were like no! we just bought them! Then he explained that the glasses been broken before and welded or glued (don’t know the term). So he can’t really adjust it and taking the risk of breaking it.
So that’s the story and the reason why I wrote this review months later. Because I saw they’re running a «deal» again on livingsocial and felt like sharing.
Too many «deals» should be a hint.

Staff is very friendly and professional, answered all my questions, concerns and helped me choose the glasses that suit me best. Prices are very reasonable and have a large selection of styles and brands. Will and have recommended to family and friends and for sure will return for next eye exam/​glasses.

The nicest optometry I have ever been too.
Everything is very high tech. Dr. Ha was the sweetest ever. The staff is very friendly and servicing. They have a nice variety of selection. They do lots of the brand names Gucci, Tory Burch, Prada… Etc. They absolutely would love for you to come out of their establishment looking fabulous.
I’m actually going to refer everyone I know, I already started by switching my family over to this place!

This lady who wrote back told me on the phone they were booked for the next two weeks, and if they couldn’t see me when scheduled, It shouldn’t be available as an option on the website to book it. There are more than a few complaints with the same problem listed here, Living social told me they tell companies not to offer their services, if they cannot handle the work load. Enough said!

Best place to go for eye care treatment. The staff here at eyecon are absolutely the best in class, from scheduling appointments to performing eye exams. Not sure where the other reviews came from but it must have been one of those days (and believe me, it happens to most!).

I came here after purchasing «a coupon» online. But really much regret it. It was not a saving of any sort.
As I was there the staff was unprofessional, I felt so push and rush into purchasing the glasses the vendor wanted me to. The staff seems annoyed to help, it felt as they are in a rush to goes customers out. But anyone with eye problem will understand how important it is to have the right prescription.
I am not happy with my prescription and glasses, just wish I would have gone to a better place, because now I need to make an appointment to an other doctor!
