Today. 1÷29÷2014 at 4:20 while following my husband in one of our trucks just back from servicing we pulled into USA Mini Mart-Renton to gas up both vehicles. IT had been a long drive in heavy traffic and after obtaining the gas I entered the«Mart» and inquired as to the location of the rest rooms. «We have no restrooms.» I was told by a short overweight man of color. Since the building is large with garages attached and a distance from other buildings I could not believe this. I pointed out that they must have restrooms, and that I was a customer of their’s having just purchased 38 gallons of gas from him. He then said«We have no PUBLIC restrooms!» and waved me off from behind his heavy plastic window. He did not inquire as to whether this was a medical emergency, in fact, It is obvious that this individual and the proprietors of it have no concern for it’s customers; even those who should have access to these restrooms under«Ally’s Law». This place is crossed off the list of allowed gas stations for our business fleet. And our entire group of family and friends will I am sure do life wise when they hear this story. Remember: You have a choice as to who you give your money to-don’t put it here!

This gas station/mini-mart is conveniently located by Wal-Mart and abuts its parking lot. It’s a decent place for gas, but AVOIDITLIKETHEPLAGUE for food and beverages. It’s pricing methods are downright fraudulent(and, no, I don’t use that word lightly). Yesterday my kid and I were dehydrated and so thirsty, we decided to pop in here to get some Diet Cokes. Plastered all over the refrigerator were bright neon orange circular stickers«2/$ 2». There were at least ten of these stickers all over the Coke shelves, where the plastic bottles were housed. Good deal, eh? The bottles usually sell for $ 1.69 or $ 1.79 each. I grabbed two. At the cash, the lady told me the 2 Cokes would cost $ 2.74 «with the tax». I questioned that, saying surely the tax on $ 2 isn’t 79 cents. Then she admitted, no, the two Cokes were $ 2.50. Ah! So all these neon stickers advertising the 2 Cokes for $ 2 is no longer applicable! I asked her if she’d honor the advertised price. She said no, she didn’t have the authority to do that. I asked her if she could at least take down all the neon stickers so the next Joe Shmo who came into the store wouldn’t be suckered in by the wrong price on Cokes. She said no, she didn’t have the authority to do that, either. As this conversation was taking place between me and the cashier, a nicely-dressed middle aged man was waiting behind me in line, waiting to pay for his gas purchase at the pump. As I was leaving with my kid, this gentleman said to me that this particular mini-mart does this«all the time», that they«mis-mark the prices of merchandise» and«never honor the advertised prices». He added that they«have lost a lot of customers because of this practice». He said he passes this gas station daily and rarely comes here anymore because of this issue and knows of «others who feel similarly». BUYERBEWARE.
