Shitty People with Shitty Service. What needs to happen is an Express Shuttle to bankruptcy!

So much shit! Waited well over ½ hr for the bus which then made me late for my flight, which then stressed the living day lights outta me. The BIGGEST problem is that they don’t let you know where or when or IF the shuttle is coming! I had to call the operator multiple times and finally just gave up and hailed for an über. I guess the shuttle would work fine if you’re leaving in the middle of the week with no traffic. PULH-​LEASE!
Absolutely ridiculous, waste of my money and most importantly my time!

My sister used the service with no real problems. She was coming from Seatac and needed to get to Everett.
My aunt had a TERRIBLE experience, after we recommended this shuttle. She was going from Mill Creek to Seatac.
She was being picked up for an early afternoon weekday flight. They didn’t show up, 15 minutes after she waited around outside she called them. Turns out, they CANCELED her pre-​payed reservation and didn’t even contact her. THEY DIDN’T EVEN LET HER KNOW!
No apology, no nothing. They left her standing in a driveway, trying to figure out how to get to the airport.
She was able to find a local Über driver that was able to get to the airport on time.
We will NEVER use shuttle express again.

We worked with Shuttle Express for our wedding day and I have nothing but positive feedback.
We booked their 16 person limo bus for the bridal party and their 28 passenger vans to transport our guests between hotels in Downtown/​Ballard and our Magnolia wedding.
The trips were very short so we didn’t want to waste money on expensive, high end transportation. Shuttle Express provided an affordable option for clean vehicles with pleasant interiors driven by friendly drivers.
They were extremely flexible as our guest count fluctuated pre-​wedding and were extremely prompt and organized on the day itself.
They even tolerated a somewhat rowdy bridal party post-​wedding with a fantastic attitude. I would absolutely recommended them as a low-​cost wedding transport option.

I cannont explain the huge disparity in the reviews for this place and normally wouldn’t bother Unilocalping a shuttle service but I. Love. Shuttle. Express!!!
I tell all my colleagues and friends about it — maybe they should start a referral punch card
I’ve used then for my work trips when I already don’t wanna drive or bug a friend or family member to drop me off at 4am — that’s when these guys become the true hero’s!
I usually get a shared van and use the round trip option — that will get you a discount for booking beforehand, the website is easy to use and even though I don’t have an account with them, my browser prefills all the info for me.
It’s a sweet celebration when I get an upgrade call 30 minutes before a pick up– except once, when they called at like 2 am (my pick up was at 2:45a) but they wanted me to feel safe and not be suspicious or surprised when a town car showed up! !
Sign up for their newsletters too — they don’t send them out often but whenever I need a pick up they’ve had a coupon ready for me to use!

For being taken to the airport, this shuttle is fine. Kind of pricey, in my opinion, though.
However, for being driven from the airport, this is kind of terrible. If you’re arriving by a late night flight, there will be no one at the desk. You will have to speak with someone over the phone in order to check in. The drivers (in my experience) will not call your name more than once, so if you don’t hear them, you’re out of luck. However, they do have a permanent location at SeaTac, so you know where they are. Haven’t looked at other shuttles for this.

This company is a rip-​off. If you schedule in advance you should get some priority in service but that is not the case with Shuttle express. You always have to get up 4 hours before your flight and pick up at least three to four stops of additional people before you even get on your way to the airport. Okay I understand a full load of people. I can deal with that. But rude drivers at 4:00 AM no I don’t think so. But the worst is when you book for both directions when you are on your way home you would think that because you had pre-​booked they would know you are coming and to have drivers ready to bring you home. Never in any of the trips (10+) have they ever had a van, car vehicle ready to take me or my party to go and you always have to wait in the 3^rd floor of the parking garage in the cold (year around) for at least 45 minutes. People that walk up get faster service that those that have made reservations in advance. We are never going to use Shuttle express again. There are many other companies willing to take you for a lesser price.

These people really screwed the pooch last night!!! I had a late flight (midnight) and checked in for my reserved trip home. The «coordinator» told me it would be a half an hour or so till my van showed up. She left at 1 am I didn’t… An hour and a half later a van finally showed up… Why do they have to lie to you?

I’m pretty surprised to see all these negative reviews but I guess that’s the nature of service-​based businesses when it comes to Unilocal.
I moved to Seattle in August 2014 and have used Shuttle Express on many occasions:
1) returning a friend to SEA from Wallingford to go back to NYC
2) getting to and from SEA for trips to Boise, San Diego, Philadelphia, Tucson, San Francisco and Burbank
3) returning a friend of a friend to SEA from Wallingford to go back to Oakland, CA
For pickups from home, they do tend to be neurotically early but I would probably do the same if I were running their business. For returning home from the airport, I’ve waited 10 minutes at most except for one time when I waited ~30 minutes.
All drivers have been friendly and helpful. One fancy driver spoke French, Italian and some German too.
ShuttleExpress is far far cheaper than SuperShuttle (why are they well over $ 100 one-​way?) but many have recommended getting Lyft or Über for ~10−15% less in fare.

I have used Shuttle Express town cars and shuttle vans. The town cars are nice, timely, and can be economical if traveling with 3 people. The Shuttle vans are fine for being picked up TO the airport. The drivers are polite, helpful, and very safe. BUT, if you are traveling FROM the airport-​choose something else. We had reservations to be picked up SeaTac and driven home. We waited for over an hour (it was 32 degrees), watched other people receive special treatment (private cars to Yarrow Point), watched our name drop down (yes down) the list, and eventually got a van AFTER having to complain. Our flight arrived at 10:40 pm. We made it home at 1:10 am-​we live 20 minutes from the airport. Next time, we will go back to using Aces Town Cars. Or just catch a cab.

Left us stranded. I used the website to book my confirmation. I called in after booking, because when it asked for flight time it was not accounting for the east coast being three hours later. The website was showing a 7:30 pm arrival. At this point I spoke to someone letting them know this was my first time taking a town car with them. I informed her that the flight time was not giving the correct arrival time so I just entered the time I was arriving instead of the flight time. I told her I was traveling with a stroller, car seat, and each of us had checked bags. She assured me all was fine and that a car seat and stroller was not an issue. On the first leg to the airport, we had an SUV and a wonderful driver. She was courteous, helped us with our bags etc. On the second leg instead of a town car we were met with a Chrysler 300. As we arrived at the car the driver put one of the back seats down to put the luggage in. I asked where my car seat would go as there were only 2 seats in the back? He suggested we try to fit two adults in the front along with the driver. I told him no. I asked why they sent such a small car when I went over my needs on the phone. He remarked he didn’t know and that he waited for two hours for us to arrive and that they should have sent an SUV. He also told me I need to pay the difference. This means my original call to Shuttle Express to change the arrival time was ignored as our flight arrived at 9:30pm along with all the other items I went over. I told them I would take another car. They told me I would still be charged even though they could not fit us and they sent a smaller car. After I got a ride from another company I was referring to the size of the car and realized I did not get the town car I had paid for with my reservation. My conversation with customer service was heated as they said I would still have to pay because they had a driver waiting After arriving home I looked at my reservation called back explained to them I did not get a town car, I got a smaller car. Lena the same rep who was not helpful before, informed me she spoke to operations and I would be refunded the second leg since they sent the wrong car. The problem is the damage was already done by this point. By making my mother, my 16 month old and myself stand around waiting for another driver and telling me I had to pay the difference they had already upset me. Combining that with the fact they sent the wrong size car, and the unprofessional attitude of the dispatch made it certain I won’t use Shuttle a Express again.

Good service professional drivers made is feel welcome and safe. Definitely recommend.

Do not use Shuttle Express if you’re looking for a reliable service.
They are good long as they are not busy. On my last trip after waiting for 50 mins without having a van assigned, I had to cancel and take a taxi.
Calling their office also takes forever to talk to anyone

Really having a terrible experience with Shuttle Express. We booked a shuttle ride to the airport for my parents a couple of weeks ago. They had a 10:30 PM flight leaving from Seatac and we entered the flight information into the web site correctly when making our reservation. The reservation was for the shuttle to pick them up at in Sammamish at 7:45 PM (with a 20 minute grace period) for an 8:55PM airport arrival time.
By 7:55, we hadn’t seen or heard from a driver and my parents were starting to get a little concerned, but I reminded them that they had a 20 minute window and they they’d probably be driving directly to the airport without any other stops and would still be on time. The driver called around 8PM saying that he was lost and couldn’t find their house (I did leave additional directions on how to get to the house when making the reservation, regardless, anyone with a GPS unit can find our place without issue). My father walked him through how to get here, thinking he’d be here within a few minutes.
It wasn’t until 8:15 that the driver arrived at their house and so they got in, assuming they’d be going directly to the airport, as they would be cutting it close for that 8:55 airport arrival time– luckily it was evening and not rush hour. Once they got in the van, the driver informed them that he had two more stops before the airport: one in Bellevue, the other in Redmond. My parents told him that there was no way they’d make it in time with those two stops (which are not at all on the way to the airport). The driver called his supervisor to see if another van could pick up the other two stops so that he could go directly to Seatac but he was apparently told there no other vans/​drivers were available for those pick-​ups.
There is no way that they would have been able to make it to Seatac in time for their flight so they told the driver to stop so they could get out. The driver apologized and told them that «if you don’t ride, you don’t pay» so my parents assumed that the $ 56 fee that they had prepaid when making the reservation would be refunded. At that point, I had to drag my 2.5 year old son out of bed and take them to the airport myself.
I drove fast and we pulled up to the airport at 9PM, in time for them to check bags and make it through to security. This confirmed to all of us that there really was no way that they’d be able to get there in time if they had to make two stops in two different towns before getting on the freeway toward seatac.
It is now a couple weeks later and they are home from their trip. My father called Shuttle Express to see why the charge was not reversed and he was told by the customer service agent that they were documented as «no-​shows» and that the driver had arrived at 8:03PM, on time (and coincidentally just inside that 20 minute window…) in plenty of time for their flight. It was suggested that he made an error in entering his flight time when making the reservation and was told that his money would NOT be refunded. He asked to speak to the supervisor who went by «DJ» who confirmed that according to their records, the driver did arrive on time and that they were no-​shows. She refused to offer a refund.
My father contacted his credit card company to dispute the charge and within an hour of making the dispute, the bank called him back to let him know that Shuttle Express was no going to admit wrong doing or cancel the charge and that in this case, the bank would have to eat the charge. After several hours of phone calls, a different supervisor from Shuttle Express called my father back to let him know that they would in fact be reversing the charge.
So as it stands now, he is not being charged, nor is his credit card company being billed. I have never felt compelled to write such a publicly critical review of a company, but even though we finally had the charges reversed, I feel strongly that Shuttle Express’s customer service in both operations and administration is severely lacking. Their pick up scheduling is such that we can no longer rely on them to get us to the airport in time – which is their core reason for existing. And when problems like ours come up, they «go to the mattresses» and handle them in a completely adversarial manner.
We’ve now wasted hours of our lives trying to our prepaid money back for a service that was never provided. I’ll never use them again and would hope to warn others to beware when relying on this company. I have no confidence in their business. They’ve lost our entire family’s worth of business with this experience, all over a $ 56 charge.

The last time I went with Shuttle Express was less than thrilling. We had to wait forever in the cold with my elderly Grandma and then drop off a ton of people before we got home. We had reservations, so I would have thought we would have gotten a shuttle much faster. The process was just too exhausting after a long flight. Now we park off site and pay less for a week of parking than we do to take the shuttle for 2 of us. We get home much faster. It is still good to have the option for people coming in without a car or if it’s too long for us to make parking work. I really wish the process was more streamlined.

Horribly inefficient and unorganized. I was riding to north seattle and waited nearly an hour in the cold airport garage waiting for my van. In the meantime, the holding bay is a zoo of chaos, with people jostling for position and trying to hear the muffled shouts of the drivers looking for their passengers. Here’s a thought — shouting over the din of taxis idling, cars honking, and jumbo jets taking off overhead may not be the best way for drivers to communicate with the passengers. And when I finally got on my van, there were so many other passengers, not to mention the driver got lost, and I felt like my fare would’ve been better spent on a stiff drink.

I travel quite a bit and have been using Shuttle Express for 10+ times already. The only reason why I am still using it is because for 1 person, it’s still cheaper than the taxi (if you book a round-​trip, you get a little bit more discount as well). For a pick up from your home/​hotel to the airport, they are almost always on time (or within the time range that they tell you). However, I had a number of times (or most of the time) which that I had to wait 2+ hours to just get from SeaTac to home (even though I booked ahead of time). Imagine how tired and pissed off you would be getting out of the airport after such a long flight, just having to deal with the longer delay, waiting to get into a shared shuttle. They just didn’t and never seemed to get their driver’s shift sort out.
The driver is almost always courteous and I never had any problems with anyone being rude but… the clear lack of ability to schedule and manage the queue from the airport to the destination is just not cutting it for me.

If you’re looking for the least convenient way to get to and from SeaTac airport, these guys a good choice. Bonus points for being overpriced. I’ve used them multiple times and never been thrilled, but the last time was the last straw.
They may have previously done business as Suburban Airporter? In any case the concept is the same. You book a reservation on their website or call to make reservations, and they haul you to SeaTac… along with a bunch of other people from your general vicinity. So if you’re out in the sticks like me, you can count on an extra half hour getting to the airport as they stop to pick up the other people who are only occasionally completely ready when the van shows up in their driveway. And yeah, it is a van, not a limo.
What really pissed me off about these guys is trying to get HOME from the airport on my return trip. We call their number as soon as we hit the ground. After about 45 minutes the van finally shows up, and picks up the airline crew that got out to the pickup point half an hour after us. They get priority, and with the crew all loaded there was no room for the little people. About 20 minutes later the van showed up for us. I’m OK with the idea that airline crews get a discount. That makes perfect sense. I’m not OK with freezing my ass off for over an hour so the airline crew has to wait 15 minutes or less. We’re now in the land of bullshit.
Never again.

I tried this service for the first time last week and after sitting on a bench for 10 minutes and then being condescendingly told that there were 3 other groups ahead of me waiting for vans and that this was a «shared ride service,» I grabbed a cab to my destination. The cost of my shared van (with numerous stops) would have been $ 49 (before tip) and my cab ride (with no stops) was $ 61 (before tip). For the extra $ 12 I will take the cab every time.
I feel this business traffics in misleading information as to the pickup and delivery times. The «boarding pass» I printed out had a precise pickup time (3:40) and the website gave me an estimated delivery time when I booked my ticket. When I asked the unpleasant woman at the airport curb about why they even bother giving a precise pickup time and a delivery estimate, she refused to answer me and instead harped at me about reading the fine print on the website. While I understand full well it is a shared van ride, I expected them to be able to be fairly close to their stated departure time.
I then asked the less than lovely woman how many other people were on my shuttle and where were they going so I could try to determine what time I might actually arrive at my destination. She told me that they don’t put the groups together until right before the van arrives (I find that hard to believe and think she just wanted me to go away) and told me go sit back down (that’s the time I told her I wanted a refund (which I have still to see hit my credit card) and that I was going to grab a cab (which is literally less than 100 feet from the Shuttle curb in case anyone else wishes to follow my lead).
I feel this is karma though for me trying to actually save a buck — I usually hire a driver. Won’t be trying this again!
