I have extensive experience doing sewing of all kinds, from simple hems on jeans and skirts, to complex bridal alterations (including bustles), custom sewing and design, and pattern making from your existing clothing, usually without taking them apart. I can also alter patterns to make a perfect fit for you. I am very creative and pride myself on being able to think outside the box.

Established in 1990.

I have been sewing professionally for many years. Primarily i have been self employed, but have also expanded my skills and knowledge by working in specialty shops doing custom bridal work and have also worked with leather.

I went to Kristen in 2014 in order to get a few dresses altered. Most of the dresses turned out amazing except for two. One dress there were pins left in it and the tag wasn’t sewn on. The second dress was left lop sided. It must’ve been a busy season but it was a pretty costly mistake. Though Kristen did offer to fix it, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to chance it. I provided Kristen with two stars because I have never experienced pins being left in and a lop sided dress that I paid a lot of money to have altered. I have since found a great seamstress in Auburn, WA that is also ½ the price. So far my dresses and shirts have all come back perfect with my new seamstress.

Such a great decision to go with Kristen for my wedding dress hem! She got it done quicker than estimated and for at least $ 50 less than what David’s Bridal would have charged, and was really nice and easy to work with (can’t really say the same for David’s Bridal, or the other places I contacted). If I need anything else in the future I’ll definitely go to her again.

Kristen is great to work with and always fits me in, even last minute. She is always quick to get my alterations done and does a wonderful job! Last year I took a bridesmaid’s dress to her at 6 months pregnant and she cut up the whole dress and custom fit it for me.

Kristen is amazing! She did my wedding dress for me and I am very short (5’0) and she made my dress look like it was made just for me! She is very accomodating and did whatever I asked which I really appreciated because we all know how many times us brides like to change their minds ;). I definitely recommend her!
