I have trusted Charles Grass with my small business tax duties for 12 years now, and have always been pleased with his service, and his staff is very helpful too. Recently, I managed to get myself into a pickle with the IRS — back taxes, oh no! Charlie was able to negotiate a much better deal with the IRS than I thought possible, and he did so for a very reasonable price. If you find yourself in that position, DON’T call the tax relief scam companies you see on TV — call Grass CPA!

My company has had our business taxes completed by Grass CPA for nearly 20 years and I have had him prepare my personal taxes for 15 years. He has always been prompt and knowledgeable with both corporate and personal services. In addition, Charlie has been a valued counselor when we have had to make business decisions for growth and management changes. Currently he is advising me in regards to property sales and a new purchase to move our business to. His entire staff is also excellent. They return emails and phone calls promptly and take care of all of the payroll and tax headaches for us.

A friend had been using Charlie for their taxes and thought it would be a safe recommendation. After I had met with him and talked to him about our taxes, I did not feel confident with his recommendation. The process he recommended would require additional paperwork and time to file the documents, which would result in additional costs or fees for him. We placed a retainer since the deadline for the taxes was coming up rapidly and we needed to file quickly. In the meantime, I consulted with a different CPA regarding our taxes and this CPA offered a simpler solution that did not require additional forms and costs. Most importantly, this other CPA recommended a tax credit that Charlie never mentioned. I questioned Charlie on why he did not mention the tax credit, he stated «oh, yah, I would have done that». We took our business to the other accountant and Charlie curtly expressed his opinion when we told him we were making a change and did not return our entire retainer fee, he charged us for the consultation visit. When I called him back to ask about the fee, he rudely stated that is the fee and said we are done and hung up on me. Our mistake was putting a deposit for the retainer, he did absolutely no work on our taxes and we had to pay for incomplete advice.
