Fantastic service. Professional. Dedicated to building a relationship with new customers. Easy to work with. I found these guys by accident. I was looking for a similarly named business in Renton. They invest in Internet ads so they came up first. My first response was to hang up and call the place I meant to call. But then I saw their Unilocal reviews. Even when customers complain, they give good answers. I think they’re my new go-​to place for cars. Appreciate the way they approached building a relationship of trust. Thanks!

Great and prompt service. The one place I have gone to where I asked for and oil change and wasn’t pressed for things I didn’t want. I also didn’t have to deal with a million up sells or pitches for services I didn’t need. All that means a lot to me. Many shops try to take advantage of women because they assume we don’t know anything about cars. Not here I was treated with the upmost respect which means they earned a customer for years to come. Thanks for raising the bar for shops everywhere.

I came here a couple weeks ago to just get my oil changed and that didn’t happen.
I initially tried to make an appointment online but didn’t receive an email response. This part was actually my fault since it went into my junk folder.
Anyway, I went down on Saturday morning anyway. I was told if I left my car for 2 – 3 hours they could do my oil change. That was fine since it was 8:45am and I had a few errands to run before heading to the city. Well, ran errands and by 11:45 still didn’t get a call. I was just sitting around at home waiting. When 12:45 rolled around we figured we’d just go back since they forgot to call or something. When we pulled up at 1pm (4 hours and 15 minutes later!!!) my car was parked in the same spot so I was a little worried. We walked in — no one was around and it didn’t seem that busy. We waited for 5 minutes until the guy working came back inside. He was apologetic that he hadn’t gotten to my car yet and was planning to get it done by 2:30pm ! THATS NEARLY 6 HOURS LATER.
I get it, you’re busy but AT LEAST GIVE ME A CALL. Spare 2 minutes to call and let me know so I could have gotten on with my day.
There wasn’t really another day I could do it and I felt like it was inconsiderate to not call me and say «Hey, running a bit behind. We need some extra time with you car.» Because I could have then gone to the city in my bf’s car and just came back later. But no, no consideration to even let me know & that’s unprofessional.
I don’t know how their work is so I can’t say if I’d recommend them or not but just be sure to make an appointment. Otherwise, good luck.

The manager Greg is incredibly incompetent. Instead of replacing the valve stems on my 8 year old car when I purchased my tires just last year; he told me he wanted to save me money. $ 400 is what he wanted to save me. Today I paid $ 278 dollars to replace two valve stems. $ 400 would have saved me money.
I called Greg two days ago to utilize the warranty on the tires and he told me all was fine, sent me a copy of my purchase receipt and told me I should receive the services. Once inside the shop Greg said that it was expected that I would pay money to replace them. This entire experience has been a headache and has cost me $ 278. Eventually I will pay $ 156 MORE than what I would have paid had Greg been straightforward and done good business initially.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone do business here. Or any goodyear honestly. If you have tpms Firestone also services those cars. If I could give this place no stars that would be the rating.

Hubby and I have been going here for at least a decade because Travis and Russ are friendly and know their stuff. They have given us lists of things that needed done and then pared it down to those that absolutely had to be done. (And we, unfortunately, don’t do a lot of maintenance on our cars, so usually when we bring them in, they need quite a bit of work.) And, at least once, when I thought I needed new brakes, I was told that everything looked fine and that it was just dust.
Why not 5 stars? They’re rather pricey (although comparable to other shops) and don’t offer any discounts to long-​time customers like myself and hubby.

Went in for tires. I prefer smaller non franchised business. They had the best deal for the best quality of tires in my price range. Russ was nice and informative. The tire change was quick and smiles were all around. I’ll definitely bring my vehicles back.

I have been a customer here for probably 10 years and, through the years, I have had good, excellent, and. unfortunately, far less than acceptable service. It really varies. Some of the guys are really grouchy and can be very short. Also some give very bad advise and when you drill down, some can be evasive in their answers. I have found that if Travis answers the phone and is working when I take my car in, the experience is much better. A very honest guy and isn’t grouchy or condescending. I have spent a lot of money at this shop (over $ 10K) and yesterday I called to try to schedule a routine oil change for my new car. The guy who answered the phone was so rude, I actually had to hang up. I’ll be going somewhere else now. Very disappointing.

Remember the days when you would take your car into the shop for extensive repairs and the owner would loan you his car until yours was fixed? Actually, neither do I. But that is exactly what Russ did.
I was new to town when my Mustang clutch went. I took it in to Good Neighbor due to Unilocal reviews and because I was pretty sure my Mustang could make it the mile to the shop. Russ and his crew must have dropped everything, because they repaired it in less than a day. During this time, they loaned me a used Toyota!
Awesome service, my Mustang runs like new, highly recommended!

Took my car here for it’s first oil change since moving to the Seattle area, for the convenience to my apartment and Unilocal reviews.
I was able to make a Saturday appointment just a few days out, the associate was helpful and not pushy, the oil change w/​Yelp check-​in deal was $ 20+, and they mentioned they took care of cleaning an item without me asking that other places possibly would’ve charged for. There were really no negatives.
Overall, I’m definitely satisfied, and I’d take my car back for other services as well.

I love this auto shop. They are very nice and courteous. They are knowledgable and are eager to help me find out what is wrong with my car or explain things to me in a way I can understand. They are also quick and have good quality on their work. I would recommend this auto shop to anyone.

These guys were fast, had great service and gives good recommendations without pressuring the customer into an unnecessary purchase. The staff went above and beyond making sure I was comfortable and well pleased. I would recommend and will be coming back.

Went in for a used car assessment to help make a judgment call on a transmission rebuild. They were open convenient and close. Reviews were mixed but thought I would give them a chance.
The service was approximately $ 130 and of course all of the services the shop had to offer came back as needing to addressed. Even the windshield wipers, which had been replaced a couple of months ago, were recommended to be replaced. I asked for a quote for all of the «needed» services (multiple times) and none was provided.
As no quote was provided and I was beginning to suspect the honesty of the shop, I took the truck to Les Schwab for a second opinion. All was fine except wheel bearings in which there was an obvious sign of wear (play in the wheel). Tires did not need to be replaced, brakes checked out fine, hubs were ok, wipers are still fine.
Not sure what they would have charged (as they do not follow through with what they say they will do) but the majority of the repairs were not necessary according to the second opinion.
They did say the transmission seemed fine and only needed a seal and pump, which in the end needed a full rebuild.
What I got for $ 130 was a bunch of unwarranted stress and concern. Not too sweet a deal. Use caution and the free inspection services of competitors prior to dropping dollars at this shop.

Fast, affordable, knowledgable. No messing around at this place, just great service. They got my truck in as soon as they could eventhough I was a walk in. They diagnosed and fixed the issue without any surprises for me at the end of service. I will be a return customer.

Travis offered professional phone service when I called in for prices and information. He was polite and kind. Thank you, especially in a world that can be hard at times. Its nice to know people can be nice still.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE FOR MECHANICAL SERVICES.
Our Subaru WRX was brought here by their contracted shop, Renton Auto Collision. RAC did all the external repairs and this shop was in charge of the diagnostic test because our car ran poorly after the accident. The shop ran their diagnostic test and concluded that it was not accident related and insurance would not cover our repairs.
So they gave us a quote ranging between $ 2000 – 2500 because our engine compression was low or for possible faulty valves. We brought our car to the shop we normally get it serviced at Outback Automotive in Auburn and it was such a simple repair – the timing belt was off. Total cost to fix it was $ 250!
First off, the tech was presistent that they work on many Subarus. I’m sure that’s not the case but come on… how can you not determine a faulty timing belt?! It’s obvious that they aren’t not in the right line of work for mechanical repairs and should stick to their tire services.

The guys there are AMAZING!!! Travis is really great at explaining what is going to happen and really tries to help you out. I will be going back for all of my car needs! They all are very honest and trustworthy.

Took my truck in for an oil change after checking reviews on Unilocal.Customer service was fantastic, not only with me but with regulars who also stopped in. After finishing the oil change, Travis walked me through some of the things they noticed on my older truck.
My impression was that they were not pushy at all with getting more work done immediately. Rather, he mentioned a few things that should be looked at, but also how I could do it myself if I want. I had no idea that the spark plugs that had been put in previously weren’t designed for my rig, but now I know which ones to purchase and put in.
5 stars easily! Looking for a quality automotive place? This is it! They also have coupons online if that’s a concern.

I am not a car person. I enjoy cars. I love my car, but I’ve never sunk my teeth into the fine details of how they work. When it comes to my car I only know when something doesn’t feel right but I can only describe this in inarticulate terms. This has posed a problem in my life before as I have had some terrible experiences with mechanics in the past. I used to blindly trust mechanics until my engine block cracked since the mechanic was dismissive of my concerns. I spent ten years after that never quite trusting mechanics.
Until now.
Good Neighbor Tire and Auto Service will take care of you and your car. Travis explains problems in terms that I can understand without ever sounding condescending or irritated. He takes the time to explain and he never pressures a service. If the part is worn he’ll give a heads up that it will need to be replaced and how much it will be. That is crucial to me because if he says something critically needs to be replaced I know it really needs to be replaced. Last I was in they showed me what the problem was. Each mechanic was super polite and professional.
Above all they admit if they made a mistake and they will fix it. There’s no excuses or coverups. They own everything they do, so I know when I drive away my car will be in better condition then when I brought it in.
