Emerald Haze

Their weed always end up being dried. I asked for moisture and I still end up getting dried weed. So I had to go find other recreational center where that does provide more moisture and reasonable prices. Also, not only that, the few workers I met were able to use Sign Language because they were eager to communicate with their Deaf customers. I don’t see that at this place. Hope this place will make some improvements because this is way much close to my house.

This is the MOST OVERPRICED store I have ever been to, and I have been to dozens in the Seattle-​area. I want to like this store but everything about it is a terrible customer experience. There are no menus. There is no way to see everything at once and be able to know how much it costs and what is in it and who makes it. This makes the entire buying process confusing and much slower. You have to tell the person what you want and they pick something out, but you have no idea how much it costs. You’re completely reliant upon the budtenders and they are not the best. It’s not the way I want to shop. But the worst part is the PRICES. They are almost double what a store inside Seattle city limits would cost you. Don’t bother!

Hi. I’m giving emerald haze a good review because I feel like the staff really enjoy showing the to you and sharing their favorite flower… Morgan is my go to person when visit emerald haze. She’s good and very knowledgeable about all the herbs. Give her a raise. I use to visit evergreen market until they pissed me off with their high priced product… So now I go to emerald haze… and did I mention the treats they offer you upon leaving??? yummy… That’s guys…

This place is horrible! The staff that they currently have is uneducated in anything marijuana. They only care about costs and averages it seems, and it seems that the flower get man handled and turns to shake real quick. And to see some of them smoking weed in the parking lot.

Another one star for Emerald Haze who, I have to admit, I was working to find ways to love, since they’re close, local, and not a chain.
First, prices here are the same as anywhere else (in a metropolitan area). So those complaining about price are clearly used to shopping rurally. You can fairly argue that given their location near a VERY low income neighborhood that they should be more sensitive to their total demographic, but that’s for another review.
Okay, here’s why they get a star.
My best friend and I started going here about six weeks ago. We generally go in separately, because he stops by after work, I usually stop by during the day. But we went together the first time. Nice general impression. Clean, friendly, easy access, okay prices, close. We buy some product and we’re generally pleased. This is where our experiences diverge wildly.
The next time he goes in, he buys $ 200 of product and they exclaim «oh my, you come here often and buy lots, we’d like to give you a customer loyalty card (takes the place of the earlier discount card, apparently). It’s a Black Card that says «Emerald Haze» and under it «Cannabis Emporium» with «Black Card» on the very bottom.
Next time I go in, I spend $ 200 on some product and linger a bit, wondering if I’ll be offered the Black Card. Exact same amount of money was exchanged, we’ve come in the number of times, but HE’S worthy of a customer loyalty card, while I get squat.
So next time, I buy the same $ 200 and just ask them point blank about it. «we do not have discount cards, all our our specials are run store-​wide.» I think it’s worth nothing that my friend has some of the worst customer service skills on the planet and is a self-​admitted grouch – he’s NEVER nice to folks behind the counter. I, on the other hand, always keep things very light, very respectful. I guess that’s my A$$hole disclaimer. Unless I hear back from Emerald Haze, this review will stand. Until then, neither I nor my buddy will be spending our $ 500/​per month for product there. Hello Unkle Ike’s.
My advice to Emerald Haze: give EVERY customer a preferred card. Most will forget it most of the time and you’ll lose nothing. What you gain is a customer who believes that you truly care about his experience at your store.

NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!! Their prices are ludicrous and the staff isn’t worth going here. Very pushy! Seems like they care more about the sales than product knowledge or selling their customers the right thing. Their cheap stuff that’s 12/​gram or 30/​eighth? Majority of it is stems. The other okay stuff is ¹⁵⁄₁₆ a gram, is alright but the prices are NOT WORTH IT! Their concentrates are 25 FOR A HALF OF BHO AND 30 FOR A HALF OF CO2?! There’s a place right down the street pretty much, called «Evergreen Market». I HIGHLY, HIGHLY SUGGEST GOING TO EVERGREEN MARKET INSTEAD! 10/​grams and concentrates starting at 35/​gram! The environment is much better, much more open space, way better vibes and prices. Their staff is very knowledgeable, right off the bat they tell you about how it all affects you and the diff percentages of THC and CBDs. They take time to go over it all with you, even if they’re busy (haze? They just read the label… Not a good place to go.) Evergreen Market is bigger, has a better selection with better prices and more glass. They also have an express window if you already know what you want, just go right to the window and someone will ring you out. I could go ON AND ON! But seriously, DONT GO TO EMERALD HAZE, GO TO EVERGREEN MARKET! SOOOOO worth it, and WAY better than Haze could ever be.

They never have a good selection of Indica, at least for one or 2 g. They change their prices daily I’ll come in one day and the next day it’ll be a different price. They will tell me that it is hybrid but they don’t know the exact percentage and I get really paranoid when I smoke sativa. Give me more Indica options!!! THe guy that’s sits outside is nicer than the people inside.

There are much better places to go. I’ve been to a lot of different shops in the area and this place is near the bottom. First off, they don’t even have a menu and I’ve read other reviews about them changing prices sporadically so I’m sure that is why. I just walked in and the guy just put two quarters and one type that was an eighth and basically just said to pick one… I really wasnt interested in a quarter. So I’d say their selection is severely lacking. I think I’ll stick to the few places I go to that are much much better and friendlier.

All it takes is one single crap experience to tip you over the edge.
The first thing this shop loses points for is PRICING. It is laughably, prohibitively, expensive. You can drive 5 miles to the south and shop at the Evergreen Market, where selection, pricing, and customer service all easily trump Emerald Haze (some items are nearly 50% less). I get that it’s in «Newcastle», but the plaza is rundown and trashy, the parking lot evil. Boutique pricing in a third-​world pocket of Renton.
Did I mention customer service?
I don’t care if you’re a budtender, a bartender, or a bank teller– you meet the need of your customer, period. Smile, make eye contact, pretend to be interested if you have to. Don’t ignore them, talk over their head to someone else, or treat them as a bother.
I specifically asked which three of the staff to go to, and this genuinely unlikable fellow said «I WILL HELP YOU» but he clearly didn’t want to, he was in a conversation with another customer who had left and come back. I asked him twice, «Do you want to help him instead?» because it was awkward. I could have easily gone to one of the capable, fairly friendly female employees. But he said it was fine. I really don’t understand why he didn’t just say he was helping someone else. I didn’t ask him to help me, I would’ve rather one of the others.
The gentleman showed me some items, he must have thought he could just show me something fast and make me leave. Unfortunately for me, he was barely comprehending what I was asking for, because he had one ear and both eyes on the other customer.
At one point I had to correct him several times when he was wrong about item specifics. He was pretty much treating me like a nuisance idiot, until I pointed out the large words on the front of the package. Duh.
I was being friendly about it until it started to piss me off. My ten or so previous experiences in the store hadn’t been so challenging, now I realized I was also dealing with major lack of product and inventory knowledge.
I must add that the employee was haggling with the other customer on pricing. WTF is that about? Hey Owner of This Store! Supervise this garbage!
After a fair few minutes of this, I went all b! tchy customer. I almost have a phobia of confrontation, so this wasn’t something I enjoyed. I’m sure the staff thought I did, I was no doubt the topic of chat. I weighed leaving the store, but instead looked at the other staff and said, «Can someone help me who will actually listen to what I am saying?» and maybe a couple of muttered things, it’s possible.
Presto. I was helped, and left. In hindsight I went through a negative customer experience only to pay 80% higher price, and I wish I had left before spending.
Then an a$$hole in the parking lot honked at me, and my experience was complete.
Some will think one star is extreme for a single employee’s crappy attitude and insultingly poor customer service. After all, the interior is rather pretty and I’m sure the free water and snacks alone will keep this store busy.
I argue that pricing and overall meh customer service contribute largely, and the haggling issue made me uncomfortable, like this was a drug deal behind a counter, not a shopping experience. Plus, I don’t think I ever saw the same employee twice, but I can’t be sure because they are just that memorable.
I’ve been to great shops, High on 99 in Lynnwood for example, where the budtenders LEARN you. A couple times in the store and they greet you like a friend, with a referral for something you’ll adore. Almost the entire staff. They love their job and are good at it. You look forward to the experience. Isn’t that the point? At Emerald Haze, they’re not making customers, they’re making paychecks.
It’s irrelevant why, I’ll never go back to Emerald Haze. Why would I? I went there because it was convenient. Now I hate it. I’m dramatic that way.
I’ll make sure I never have to go there, and you should too.

Yes, I agree with other reviews left here on the sight. Their prices fluctuate a lot from day to day. And on top of that, their employees are not forthright with the products and prices on hand. And even on top of that, I think a couple of their employees are complete assholes. I’m sorry you accepted a entry service level position and you find yourself unhappily employed. Your job is to help people, not be a dick!!! Get rid of these WANNABEE LOSERS!!! Nobody should be subject to deal with employees that are unwilling to help.

There are a large amount of recreational shops, but out of all that I have been to, this staff is the most knowledgable, respectful, customer service orientated bunch. Not your typical stoner crowd. Not to mention the beautiful facility. I definitely recommend this establishment to every and any self proclaimed pot connoisseur that wants a place to grab their goodies. The most consistently stocked place to call your weed home.
Oh wow, I completely failed to mention the complementary snacks and water for your, ahem, cotton mouth after successfully ingesting their product. Can’t beat that!

The store is nice looking but I feel like they try to hustle me when it comes to pricing. One day a half gram is $ 8.75 the next day they charge me $ 12 for the same thing. I like the convenience of the store being closest to home but things like this make me want to look elsewhere.

This medical dispensary is the finest opetation I have yet to see. The director of operations Aaron Barfield is as charismatic as the décor is smooth. The packaging leaves for little worry and when I found that the establishment was under constant video surveillance this gentleman from LA. immediately became eased. Thank You Aaron for your incredible service and conversation.

My boyfriend and I love that this place opened up right down the street from us! We go here pretty regularly, they always have very good buds and an assortment of goodies. Some personal faves of mine are the cheese strain and the mystery weed!
Only thing keeping me from giving it a five star review are these two things;
1, when they first opened the prices were all around the 12 – 15 $ a gram range, and now it seems like the majority of them are 15 – 20 $ a gram.
2, I’ve never had any issues with the guys that work there, Dylan, David and Larry always have great recommendations and are very professional… However some of the girls seem to have attitudes and almost seem «inconvenienced» by another girls presence…
But overall, one of my favorite spots to go to!

This place is awesome. Beautiful store. Top notch customer service. You get a free water when you walk in, and they have refreshments. Not to mention the nicest employees. Prices are also reasonable. I would certainly recommend this store.

I always feel rushed when i come here. They constantly push the high priced stuff. Even when i ask for something i had the time before, they tell me its crap, and i should really get this stuff over here … if i’m in the neighborhood, i may stop in, but its not my favorite store.

I am always pleased with the service and selection.
My only complaint is that when I find something I like, often they no longer have it my next visit.

Great retail store; if they don’t have it, they will get it!!!
